Week 7: Reflection and Growth -- June 16

12:35am June 17th

Yo. Another long crazy day of sessions, crazy meals, tourism and family fun times. I ended up waking up two minutes before I was supposed to be downstairs for breakfast, but really, we left like 15 minutes later, so no big deal.

Baked goods again. I never said anything about egg tarts have I? Well, they are really amazingly awesomely delIcious and I've had them very many times this summer. AL really loves them too.

Session was about reverse culture shock and preparing to share about what happened when we get back so that we can make the most of every oppourtunity.

Then we had lunch. UBC and SFU were being provine-ist and had lunch alone. UoT was being UoT and had lunch alone. So we (Carleton, Brock and... another Ontario campus..? [Ryerson]) had lunch together. We had PizzaHut. I really enjoyed the change of food.

Then we went to see the 'place that the old ruler may have worshipped God'. It was pretty cool. Then we went to the 'bartering market place' for a while and I got a fat 'cat' and two belts. I got this idea that sometimes we feel we are getting ripped off, so we barder to crazy low prices or just walk away, but then the sales people (as they plea and cry) appear to be getting ripped off, but really they still profit and the people always getting ripped off are the people who make those things.

Ya, we came back, went to a 'special dinner' [with absolutely everyone in our family there even though JW was sick. NW and MN are looking the wrong way in the picture. lol], I returned the pink shirt [far too expensive and not a good fit And AL wouldn't buy it from me for a good price. lol], we went to session [a little late because returning that shirt ended up taking a long time... >.>]. Session had a lot of sharing time and a sermonish thing by future pastor DJP about what being sent means.

Then we ran off for last minute shopping, but even here in the capital city the shops all close at like 10pm so we had darn expensive Haagen Dazs Ice Cream and went back to pack.

I am full of pride for my colourful clothes. I can't believe I managed to get all that stuff in my suitcase and carry ons. I hope there is a mall in the airport where I can buy some new pants. xP I will stop buying things in one day then I'm done for a year. I promise.
