Week 7: Reflection and Growth -- June 12

Hey, long day? Maybe? I don't really know. First, (which was so long ago that I hardly remember) we woke up and went to the greasy breakfast house. Then we finished all the packing and junk at the hotel and shipped out at 10:45ish. We are now in the capital. It's been pretty different, needless to say, but I am still getting stares and comments. I'm "so beautiful". lol.

Ya, the bus was a little squished, but overall not bad, I mean it was less than an hour drive. When we got here one other family had already arrived an hour earlier and JL was waiting for MC. He is cooler now. lol. We had a quick look around and got money, saw another family, got lunch, had a planning session for our fam skit which involved singing, dancing and acting [I'm a triple threat yo], had the fam skit time and first main talk, had dinner, and finally had a creative worship session where we shared what we learned about God through project and shared the stats and did some praying and shared some plans for the week.

Yo, 101 new bros.sisters! We were praying for 100 and God pulled through. Awesome. [Apparently, from what I've heard, our goal was double what it was last year and we actually sent less people. So this is even more awesome!]

Ya, when we were sharing about our experiences and what we learned of God, TW shared about his struggle to rest faithfully and how he learned that God is faithful. This got me to thinking and really, I also struggled with faithful rest the day before Phase I ended when I needed more contacts. That day I surrendered to let God have the day and God got me a contact. Guess what? That contact is the brother that I got to see pray to receive Christ. Yo. What?! I did nothing and God brought him to us yo. Awesomesauce! More about that later.

Anyways, lol. I have four pairs of shoes now. Converse. What?!

[Ephesians 3:20-21 'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.'

God is able to do so much more than we can imagine. I would not have thought that that day of rest would lead me to a new brother a couple weeks later, but God saw it all and planned it and made it happen yo.]

"rain from clear skies, what?!?" [honestly. no clouds. and it rained. we were not beside a building. it was not just falling water. it was rain. What!?!??]

[lanterns from the night before carrying our prayers for this country into the sky so that the lost can be found]
