A Day of Running

Yo!

This week is the East Main Summer Games! Exciting!!!! Not too much. lol. We get to help out with the children's events which is from 1-5pm, so basically camp hours with every kid and a couple extra. Today was track and feild events, so 50, 100, 200, 400, 800m and long jump. lol. So much fun. (sarc) lol. Just them running around the baseball diamond for 3 hours..? >.> A lot of yelling and encouraging them. M(?)'s voice is lower now.

Anyways, they all ran for a while, then we were done. On another day I had picked up all the garbage around the diamond and players' benches and audience stands and put it in the garbage can. It was all still in the can when we got there, but there was also a lot more... So I emptied it and picked it all up. Another full can. >.> So I emptied it after the games and I ended up picking up some garbage around our trailers with a few kids. It's so much easier when you have 6 extra hands.

So that was fun. Then there was the wasted number of hours waiting for this softball game that never happened because of scheduling..? I watched a lot of Bleach and played pokemon. I also washed the girls' dishes for them. They were supposed to move today, but it has been moved to tomorrow. I wanted to help however I could.

Also, this guy that we saw at church the other day who also lives in a trailer just a couple over from ours came over to talk with us, see if we needed anything, just introduce ourselves, you know. He's pretty awesome. He works with the traping association or something and has been in Northern Quebec for almost 40 years. He hopes to retire within a year and is trying to tie up loose ends. He apparently has a bit of a library in his house and offered it's usage to us as well as some sugar or whatever we needed. Nice guy.

Umm. We were so pumped for softball. xP... My butt and back hurt from hiphop abs yesterday. >.> The rest of the counselors haven't really played very much before. Whatever, it's for fun and we have AC the 12 year old MVP on our team! =D

Also, I was looking for something the other day in my blog archives and started labeling some posts again. It's good to look back on what has happened. I stopped labeling around January, so, lol, it's far enough away that I've forgotten a bunch. It's sweet. I just read a post about my wanting to go to East Asia.

Also also, we had our first cooking class today! Parfaits! Cut up some bananas and peaches. Crushed some cereal in a bag and put it together with yogurt in a cup. lol. Delish.
