Juillet 11

23 heure 17 minutes

Hey. Day 1 of week 2 complete.

Today was another hard one, I guess you could say. Rocks were the prop of the day. Rocks for the dog to chase after rocks for the war on the playground, ... I like using three examples, but I guess there were only two.

Anyways, ya, I just couldn't stop the rock war. Kids were throwing, kids were retaliating, kids were teasing and taunting, kids were crying and screaming, kids were on the swing, not giving a care and kids were not listening when I asked them to drop the stones and walk away.

Aside from the rocks today was okay I guess. I just don't feel satisfied with what we are doing. Right now we let them do whatever for about half an hour until everyone is there. Then we pray and 'warm up' with a lot of running games. Then we kinda drop the kids off in the playground and let them amuse themselves for the last 2.5 hours. Swinging, seesaw, tag, frandom stuff. Then we go back, pray, leave. We need a bit more. On the schedule we've been given there is 'music time' and 'story time' and 'arts and craft time' (which is tending to be used as an alternative to doing sports or playground activities, and is only actually drawing on a long piece of paper...)

Ya, the prayer walk this morning was good. It really set the day off on the right foot. I was awake, I cooked breakfast, we got there in time (the girls slept in by accident), I got to see half of the town that I hadn't seen before. Tomorrow I'll finish scoping out the other half of the town.

My real need right now is that although I'm good in the off hours, is relying on God during the chaos, just taking that second and praying, just doing it all for Him. Not just going in with that attitude and thenm (seven hours later) looking back on not having done so.

Ya.

Ttyl.
