Dumplings and Lao Gan Ma and Legalism

Hi.

I've been doing a bunch of things recently. haha

I'd been watching a whole lot of Youtube and playing games on my phone. Like, a lot. Then my friend who sings karaoke alllllllll the time said he was giving it up for lent. And I was like, man. Maybe I should give up aimlessly watching youtube and playing cellphone game apps for lent. However, I feel like I don't really want to do anything. haha. Like what else can I do when I'm at home? So, being fairly legalistic, I'm not spending time on youtube unless it is a single video that someone sends me or a youtube video that isn't on youtube. And games that aren't on my cell phone. haha

So I, after not listening to everyone on youtube telling me to, finally tried playing Undertale, which is an Indie PC game. It's like 10$, but I had become reeeeeeally curious and 10$ isn't bad. And let me tell you. Undertale is an AMAZING game! Like, I cannot say how great the writing and game mechanics are! I don't want to spoil anything, so just play it. haha. The attack, defense, and even level up mechanics are all so interesting and each enemy is different! =D It took me just under 400 minutes to beat the game, so not a whole lot of time. But it was AMAZINGGGGGGGGG! Undertale.com or on steam. 10$. Sooooooo good. Totally worth it! And I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will probably talk about it at some time later.

In line with that legalism, I've also been watching a lot more anime than before. haha. And Adventure Time season 7, which I hadn't realized had come out yet. Also really good. Like, the first more than 2 episode arc and it was great. haha.

The other week my housemates made dumplings. Like, a lot of dumplings. I asked one of them why the other two were making dumplings (it had been like 3 hours of chopping and mixing stuff) and he said it was because they had a bunch of midterms coming up so they had to make it that night. > . >. And my room is beside the kitchen (with a window) so they needed to stop making dumplings. So I asked if I could help. It was now 10 at this point. So we started putting the dumpling filling in dumpling wrappers. It was a huge bowl of filling. I asked how many it would make and he said like 400. > . > I wanted to sleep. So I helped and in 45 minutes of peeling wrappers and wetting the edges and putting filling in and crinkling the edges, we were out of wrapper. Only like 100 though. So we were done for the night. They would get more the next day, when I went to sleep early... haha.

So today I made some food. Pork, cabbage, onions, garlic, ginger, 5 spice blend, soy sauce, some vinegar. All the ingredients from the dumpling filling, but cut less thinly. So more stir-fry style to put on rice. And then I remembered!! =D Lao Gan Ma! One of my housemates had made me some food a month ago or so and gave me some of the Lao Gan Ma chilli stuff. So I borrowed some. Fermented Black Bean with Chilli is soooooooooo goooooooood. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ya. Random. I'm trying to get everyone I know to play Undertale so I can talk about it. haha

PS. OH! Also this new anime named Erased! It's soooooooooo goooooooooood! I've been watching it every week at a friend's house after P2C weekly meeting. So good. haha

Ingress.

Yo, so, I've been playing this game called Ingress. And I was very skeptical at first, but it is amazing. haha

I started playing it after the trailer for Pokémon GO. I was so excited about it that I posted a bunch on facebook about how excited I was for it to finally be happening (a REAL LIFE Pokémon game!) and a friend of mine said that Niantic (the company which is partnering with Nintendo/Pokémon) had made a previous game named Ingress. So, out of curiosity, I downloaded the game.

I started playing over by Lees station, finished the tutorial and really didn't know what was happening. haha. All I knew is that these alien guys are trying to brainwash us using this exotic matter (XM) and my team wanted to ensure that didn't happen. We are called the Resistance. The other team refers to themselves as 'the Enlightened' and wants to use the energy to take humanity to the next level of evolution. Nothing good can come from that I think.

All around the world in places of cultural or historical significance 'portals' are located where the XM flows through more rapidly. You can hack portals to get items: portal keys, resonators, XM cubes, weapons, and more. Using resonators we can make the portal ours, and using portal keys we can link them together and when 3 are linked to each other a control field is created. Fields and links block the other team from forming links and taking territory. And you can take back a portal by destroying all of the enemy resonators and setting up your own.

I took one portal. And then another. The following morning I went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was awesome. So many portals. All mine. haha

I went to school and saw how green it was. I took out a portal, the pendulum, and started to plan how I could take it all with AG and JC who I had recruited. However, soon after I discovered that there were a number of very high level green agents who I definitely could not defeat on my own. Specifically there was a green agent whose name was similar to mine. I was thousand-year dragon and he was black dragon. He would be my biggest rival, but I needed help from some other agents. So I messaged some of the agents who had blue portals at school and they responded!

The next day I got to meet up with 5 agents. They were super nice. haha. One girl took a couple of us around and just destroyed all the portals and gave us experience. xP The next day I was messaged and got to meet up with a couple other agents. Something that is hilarious though is that there was apparently talk that black dragon had made a blue account just to spy on us. People had though that I was just a fake account. haha. So funny. There's also a kind of derision towards Ingress players who all started just because of Pokémon GO. haha. Whatever. I think I've proven myself.

But this game is amazing. And playing in real life and getting to meet up with the others, the whole thing makes it feel so much like an anime. haha. One where the world just happens to be ignorant of the present danger they are in and a few select people have been given the power to fight back and save the innocent civilians. Something like Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru or Shakugan no Shana or something. But meeting up in person also made me think of like Durarara or Paranoia Agent or .//hack or even The Guild web series. haha.

I can't wait for Pokémon though.

Studying / Video Games

Hey!

Today was really boring. lol.........

Summed up it was sitting in a room for literally like 9 hours sending emails, reading lecture slides and listening to Legend of Zelda music on repeat.

>.<

Exams are lame. xP. Gotta beat them though.

I feel really bad for SM and AY and the rest of the Architecture students who have been working day and night to finish their projects due on Thursday, the majority of which have had 2 hours of sleep or so (as far as I 've heard). >.>

I kinda miss all the hours I spent playing video games, but I know that that won't make me happy. It doesn't accomplish anything in real life. Playing a game briefly with a friend or two for fun is fine, but spending literally all weekend on a one person game that no one will ever care you played, whatever, why do that? I still have fond memories. It was a good game. Me and my brother played it together sometimes. Figuring out things together, good times.

Thunder Storms and Pasta

So, yesterday.

Yesterday started off with me waking up at 5 am. Guess why? Thunderstorm! Yay! But the coolest thing was that the power was out and that the storm was practically directly above us (which I later realized isn't as cool as I thought, or maybe it is..?)!!!! So, it was just like nonstop flashes of light outside my window! You couldn't see the lightning, just the light, rain was pouring, all my housemates were awake (RL was at his parents) and JR ran outside... lol... After about half an hour the lights turned back on and I realized how silent and dark it was a moment earlier. I mean, now there were all these little things buzzing and a bunch of small flashing lights and ya... I went back to sleep, but kept my phone on to wake me up. I later read a facebook status "Somebody must have been playing Song of Storms over and over last night..." lol.

I woke up at like 9:30 and just lay in bed until 10. I just didn't want to do any work. I still don't, but yesterday was my last day before my week of exams started, so I should have started the cramming.

At 10 I talked with my EAP support coach. He doesn't like how I don't really answer questions.

I then had breakfast/lunch and watched anime.

I then wasted like an hour and a half drawing a diagram to represent my support raising for project. I drew block letters of EAP on graph paper with each block being 50$ I need to raise. It took me a long time to figure out how big to draw the letters and then to colour it in with the support I have so far, colour coded to each person, and then I accidentally did it wrong and I admit it was a huge waste of time.

I knew I should have been cramming for my CHEM exam today, but no... I kept wasting time.

I studied for a couple hours while playing songs by Two Door Cinema Club over and over and over again and then I ran off to my new house to have a meal with my new housemates. I saw CL and MC on the bus.

There was a lot of raised voices at my new house, mostly caused by me and the whole 'splitting a room in half' business and how that effects the rent. It seems that DK, CW and JS 'debate' quite a bit. In any case, CW prepared a pasta meal for us and we all had some with light dinner conversation. Following that we had a 'house meeting' to address issues with common areas and chores and just things in general. The last topic raised was really awkward. It was DK bringing up the fact that we don't tell each other that we love each other as much as we should. He argued that as Christians we should be more loving because we know a bit more about real love through Jesus among other reasons. The most awkward point (debatably) was when he said he could easily write more about what makes each of us special then he can for a school paper.

They tried wrapping up the meeting quickly so that I could go home and study, but the things I saw were that a) they do love each other, b) they pray with each other, c) they don't hold back anything from being discussed. These are all things I wish I saw more of at my house. I have yet to see a couple of my housemates pray.

Ya, when I got home I watched a couple episodes of Modern Family with everyone. It's a good show that always has a moral, warm and fuzzy ending.

Ya. So I wasted all of yesterday. Then this morning I woke up at 6:50 and did everything quickly so that I could go and then I decide to clean out my closet. >.> Ya. Wasted a half hour making a pile of clothes I don't want to / havn't been wearing that I can get rid of because I really have only been wearing like 8 shirts and there were like 25-30 in my closet. The first step in moving is to get rid of everything that is useless to you.

Ya. CHEM exam asian fail. Probably.

PS. I started moving yesterday. Even though I only moved one thing and I never use them. lol.

The Letter B.

So, I just wasted like an hour and a half and I will now explain using B words:

Broom
Blue Bin
Bored
Borrowed
Bb gun
Bb
Beer cans (root)
Bull's eye
Bounce
Behave
Broom
Better
Blog

Anyways, I have a limited vocabulary. Deal with it. Also, I wasn't supposed to touch those bb guns, so don't tell JK. Also, RL is scared of anything that might hurt him. Also, I feel like guns are way cooler now, but I will still continue to refuse to play Halo.

A List of Stuff.

So, the things on this list are all connected for some reason:
-Halo
-Final Fantasy
-Gundam
-Tim Horton's
-Crocs
-Coffee
-Brand Name Clothing
-Dr. Dre Beats
-Blackberry's
-Twitter
-Athletic Socks
-Baby corn
-Sonic
-Twilight
-Apple Juice
-Eggs
-Pills
-Boots
-Hockey
-etc.
There's probably a lot of other things I could add to the list, but I'm just so tired/bored.... XP

Ya. This list is a list of things I just do not support.

Ya...... Kinda no real reason, but I'm just against them.

25.1.11

Stats!!! xP

Have you ever thought 5000 is a big number..? Well, it kinda is. I mean it's like a whole years wages from a part time job if at minimum wage you work about 10 hours a week. It's also my yearly rent. It's also about how much it costs to go to Asia for 6 weeks. Also (randomly) if you spent one hour doing homework everyday during a 26 week school year, it would take 27.5 years or 55, 13 week semesters to get to 5000 hours. However, it would only take 20.5 months of playing 8 hours of video games in a day to reach 5000 hours.

I was thinking yesterday, 'how much is too much..? How long should you play video games before it's too much..? how about, when you are gaming more than you are inhaling..?' That is an enourmous amount of time! like 12 hours in a day (on average, excluding possible holding your breath to make the amount of time inhaling lower)!! 12 hours isn't actually all that much. I mean on Tuesdays I am at school for at least 10 hours. Last semester it was 13 hours. xP

Anyways, there are a number of other things I wanted to calculate / discuss.

So, as far as the origin of life is concerned, if abiotic genesis is where things came from and on the off chance that atoms began combining and formed amino acids, guess what..? There are 80 different types and two different forms of each. So of the 160 possible amino acids that may be formed only 20 of them are actually used in proteins. The next problem is that a protien can be made of hundred or thousands of amino acids in very specific sequences. The probability of these things all happening is very unlikely to begin with, not to mention how many different proteins and how many you'd need to make anything.

The next thing I have been thinking about for a while is a question about the rate of work, or rather how many people we can share with in a year. Going with conservative numbers of about 50 people sharing once a day each every weekday in a 26 week school year, you get about 6500 people. If you increase the numbers to 2 people in a day 13000 people will have heard in a year. This is of course not taking into account people who say 'no thanks' or people who are too busy, and of course when the number goes up you will most likely get overlap, also I'm not including any increase in number of C4C'ers or when people go sharing together. Now I will tell you that there are about 26000 students at Carleton. It would take over two years at that rate to reach everyone (with all variables restricted. xP) Clearly this means we should try harder.

Ya. There are some numbers. Whether they are stats or not has nothing to do with my Bio lab report.

Brainstorming Fail

So, whats up yo..?

Today was pretty awesome.; I went to church, got to see a whole whack of YA, ate leftovers, and then I hung out with friends all day! You know, when you go off to University and your friends all don't go to yours because 'Ewww. Carleton!' you kinda don't see them much. =/

Ya we started at Timmies with a brainstorming session. Well, actually it started a few days before with a brainstorming chain email which got us nowhere, but that we are all poor and want to hang out. Ya, so we went to Timmies for the fact that we would then at least be hanging out. Kinda back fired into just me, AL and RM at Timmies, but YC and TWH would join us eventually. We loitered in a number of places and caught up. We went to Zellers and played with the 'octave-pus' or so I just witfully named it. It was an octopus plush with a different squeezable tentacles that played a different note in a scale. We kinda broke the top note... xP We then went from house to house taking things we thought would be a good idea for when we got to RM's house. By house to house I mean from my house to my house meaning my parents house to the boy house and we got wiimotes, wii games, dutch blitz, the sing-a-ma-jigs, monopoly, a few movies, etc. We bussed.

At RM's we played Super Smash Brothers, Mariokart, broken telephone pictionary (which will soon be scanned onto AL's blog)(best game ever.), ate spagetti, hammered a defenseless gingerbread house into pieces, played with the sing-a-ma-jigs even discovering new modes!, and just chilled in general. I don't mean to be offensive, but that was the creepiest grace that has ever been said before a meal..... It was like a chant...

Anyways, I need to read a few chapters of Isaiah (I will do this tommrow..?).......

Toronto Bound

Hey.

As I usually do on trips I will be updating you regularly via texting. XP

So, I am currently at the Ottawa bus station waiting like an hour to board a bus going to Toronto where Winter Conference is being held. Actually, WC is in Richmond Hill, but that's practically Toronto right..?

I'm gonna end up downtown Toronto and Richmond Hill is quite a bit North of there. I will have to take a subway and the VIVA bus an hour to get there.....

I'm pretty nervous/anxious, but I'll get there somehow if it's God's will that I get there. XP

Ya......... I brought a few books, one DS game, my bag that has my C4C stuff in it, my laptop, my cell phone, a box of granola bars, a suitcase full of clothes, my jacket/gloves/hats/scarf, my wallet, money, a pocket full of pens, ummmmmm. Not much else.

I did a bible study on Ecclesiastes yesterday. XP It took a while and I don't think I really absorbed too much of it... Some things in it were a little odd and it was hard to understand sometimes.

26.12.10

Vanity of Vanities.

Hey.

You know, life is short and nothing under the sun satisfies our cravings.

Video games either last a week, so you get the next one or they continue for a very long time so you keep leveling and playing. They don't satisfy your craving for entertainment fully. You play and are entertained until you stop playing or the game is over.

Sin does not satisfy. It may satisfy for a few breif moments, but then you're left in a worse position spiritually and emotionally. After the euphoria of sin you are left with the guilt and shame and self-loathing feelings.

Material possesions do not satisfy. You always want something bigger or better and once you finally have it there is something even more desirable to obtain.

You build these things up in your mind as the best thing ever; you need them. But once you have them its not enough.

Soloman back in his days tried everything under the sun to feed his cravings; women, money, possesions, power. But nothing under the sun could fill these cravings, nothing could satisfy this desire for more.

If we have these cravings, cravings forn control, power, love, escape, justice. Shouldn't there be something that will fill these cravings..?

CHEM 1001

Hey.

I have now completed a University exam. It's practically the same thing as a highschool exam, just on a larger scale. They are apparently scarier when it comes to cell phones and other potential cheating, the exam room is WAY bigger, but the exam itself is only 11 pages... xP

Okay... I failed again today..... After I went and finished my studying. I turned on the radio (CHRI) and there were a few talks. Mostly they were about prioritizing and wasted time etc. It was talking about how Jesus only had 3 years to do the biggest thing any man has ever done, save the world, yet he took the time every morning to pray and spend time with God and he was never rushing to get anywhere, one of his biggest sermons was to one woman at a well.

How can I really rely on God if I'm not even talking to him very much. Okay.... I've been failing because I've been relying on myself again. I am going to try to spend 15 minutes of every four hours in prayer/reading a passage and reflecting on it.

Earlier I was thinking "Seek first His kingdom and His righteosness and all these things will be given to you." I was using this as an excuse to not study last second. Instead I would go sharing around 5:30 and be doing His work. Then the test would be guarenteed. I mean it is just something else, just another thing. What is going to last..? Only what is done for love's reward will stand the test of time, or so the song goes... xP

In the end, I forgot my calculator and had to walk home after waiting at a bus stop for 10 minutes... It was so cold... xP But, really, my planning had failed. Emphasis on MY.

Ya, I really need to sleep so that I can wake up and study for Bio... xP I'm gonna waste a lot of time on Pizza buffet and Singing Christmas Tree tommorow, so I really need to get to work...

Also, you guys should pray for RL. I will be. This morning at 10 he said he was going to sleep and that I should wake him up at 12. I then hear video game sounds from the other side of his closed door for 2 hours as I study. I then hear him "go back to bed" then "wake up" then start a new game. I then go to 'wake him up' and he says good morning. I tell him that he's been playing video games for two hours, he says, no I just started. See, look at the counter (it says how long he's been playing...)... He then played for another two hours. Now, at midnight he plans to 'study' for two hours, go to sleep and wake up 5 hours later then bus to school for a 9am exam........ He is watching Glee.

JW says that 'parenting won't help him' and that 'if he makes mistakes he'll learn from them.' I don't want him to fail. I don't want him to starve. I don't want him to be sleep deprived. I don't want him to waste his life on video games (It is seriously taking over his life.).

Ya.......

Some Things That Happened Without My Knowing

So, hey.

Today was really awesome.

My Sunday School is about "Participating in the Mission of the Church". I seem to pay more attention to this. A/V went pretty well... xP The only really kinda bad thing that had happened up to this point was that RL had gone home to sleep instead of coming to church. It honestly ... idk... breaks my heart (I think that may be a bit too much, but I don't know how else to phrase it... xP) to see him skipping church to sleep... He is gaming again too... He had taken a 30-day challenge. It's like day 8 or something. He said he got bored......

Anyways, after church I had to go to work. So, at work there's this girl BJ who works in bakery. I havn't had a shift at the same time as her in like a month. Everytime I would go to work I'd be hoping she was there. I kinda really want to invite her to church and share with her. So I packed my bag for work, ie apron and hat, but I also threw in a couple Knowing God Personally booklets and a real life kit just in case.

Today in Sunday school we talked about good works and how they can affect our witness. I was going to be like 5 minutes late to work again, like I have been for a little while and I realized that isn't a good thing. I should continue to be on time for work. It is actually the only thing that I don't care about being like 10 minutes early to, I actually usually end up 10 minutes late... So I was kinda upset about being late, so I hurried up.

When I got to work I thought everything was normal. I went to get my schedule for the next week because I hadn't yet and I saw on Sunday "6-10:30 no show" and I'm thinking that isn't next Sunday... That's today..! and so I start freaking out about having misunderstood my boss. You see on Wednesday after class I went to check the schedule / book off time for the next week. The schedule wasn't made and the time off book wasn't in the drawer. That meant my boss was currently working on it. He was on the floor. I went over to him to ask to not work next Sunday night or Saturday afternoon. Before I could do so, he asked if I could work Sunday morning. I was happy because this is exactly what I wanted for next Sunday (read: potluck and concert that night) so I guess I misheard because he apparently meant this morning........

Now I was freaking out about not showing up for a shift.

Then BJ enters the backroom.

I'm thinking.... oh no... shes been here since 6, when I should have been here............. I usually act like work is very important around her, like, I'm always preoccupied with doing my work. The one time she caught me on my cell phone she kept holding it against me for like a couple weeks... so being caught 'skipping a shift' kinda completely destroys my reputation...

It turns out that produce wasn't actually behind schedule, so I wasn't actually in very much trouble... I did all the production for the night and cleaned the backroom. There wasn't too much to do. I then cleaned bakery and helped make salads in salad bar because JR was way behind schedule. I left work at 7:30ish and went to my parents' for supper. They gave me a pile of food again.

Anyways, while I was at work I talked breifly with BJ and found out that she had gone to church for a while by herself like 3 times a week then she just stopped. so I don't really know what to make of that.... I also got her cell number which will make it easier to stay in contact with my bare minimum work schedule.

So, ya. I should be in a lot of trouble, but I'm not... I don't know what to feel... embarassed or really grateful..?

The Name of Evil is "Beady Long Legs"!

Ok. This is mostly random. This post is coming from experience and from a certain picture I took on Canada Day. That picture. The sculpture reminds me of this monster in a video game.

The video game is called "Pikmin" and it is one of my favourite games ever. I even searched all over Ottawa to buy it a year or two ago. xP

Pikmin has strategic game play with discovery, excitement, "battling", collecting things, a time limit, and much much more.

Then there was Beady Long Legs. He flattened so many of my Pikmin.... TT.TT I rushed in with a whole pile of pikmin and he squished them! I grew an irrational fear for my Pikmin's lives whenever encountering a boss monster.

This is a video of Beady Long legs. Half of his pikmin are killed! T.T

Re-creation

Hey.

I was just thinking... I don't really like things that have been made for the sole purpose of being exactly the same. Some examples: dubbed anime, when I do something but it doesn't get saved so I have to do it again but it just doesn't match the original, turning a book into a movie or a movie into a game, etc...

I feel that by trying so hard to be exactly the same as the original, you miss the point.

Like sometimes in a video game or something I havn't saved then the power goes off. I really hate redoing the same thing because it isn't the same, its never going to be. Or my testimony, I was trying really hard to recreate the same one and I deffinately didn't.

I was writing a blog post the other day. It was amazing by the end of it. I had thought about the past, how amazing my life is now and then just before I finished writing the post I read a passage in the bible that related with the topic of the post and apparently that post never even got half saved... Annoying...

Sleeping In

So.

It's a long weekend, so I've been sleeping in. xP...

I've mostly been hanging out with friends / my brother and not doing much other than playing video games. xP

I went back to highschool on Friday. AL also was going to go and I thought of inviting BC, but didn't... I'm kinda passively mean to him... Anyways, BC did show up and so did AT. We went around bugging our old teachers (GG, PJ, JS, NC). Then we went to Wendy's for no real reason. Then we went to my house and played video games.

I cleaned the kitchen yesterday. Mostly just to procrastinate... xP...

Thinking To Tommorow

Sometimes as things happen during the day I think "wow, I should blog about this" and then I will think about how I would phrase the blog. I often forget those things by the time I get to my laptop though...

Today there were many such events.

I read 2 Thessolonians on the bus today and before Chemistry I did my Sunday school homework for last week.

I spent some time with JC and YA between Chem and Physics.

I played a couple games on my laptop in Physics. There is this game "Airfield Mayhem". JC's brother has a high score of 68 and JC has a high score of 39. I got to 44 after like 10 tries. I also played a couple levels of Gem Craft.

In bio I sat with AA and saved a seat for DK who was late. We learned about Photosynthesis. In photosynthesis photosystem II comes before photosystem I, which is actually annoying to remember, so our prof joked "They intentionally did that to confuse students. Something about the first shall come last and the last shall be first." Me and DK laughed. xP...

After bio I followed AA and saw AG, DF, BC, KV, JT and MD. I went to Leo's lounge. I agree with you AL. I mean I saw DF and there were like 2 tables of people playing cards.

After that I went sharing with SS. We talked for a while about how he normally shares, we prayed about sharing today and then we turned to the guy sitting next to us. This was my first time. I didn't say much, but I did get to see first hand how it would actually work. The guy was willing to speak about it. He was an international student and he was a philosophy student who had just had a lecture about 'what is the meaning of life?' so he was very open to talking about spiritual things.

As we were going through the track he rememberered having seen this movie about Jesus. When missionaries go to different countries they can easily share the gospel by playing "The Jesus Movie" or something which has apparently been translated into 900+ languages, so even though the missionaries can't speak the language they can share the gospel.

SS said he was very interested in finding out where he had come from because in China you have to have private screenings of it and everyone has to wear headphones so that they don't get discovered. So the fact that he had seen it is astounding.

After we had talked to him, he seemed interested, yet he said he had to think about it some more. Overall, it was a very good experience. It shows how willing the students are to talk about these things. It shows how far God's word has reached already. I just thought of a verse I've heard. Something like He who sows is not the one who harvests and God is the one who makes the seed grow or something.

Afterwards SS had to leave so we talked for a bit. "3 out of every 4 people I meet from OCBC are white". lol....... He was laughing out loud. Also at our pastor who is 'the white pastor' by name.

Anyways... After that I studied with DK a bit and went to FILM.

So, the main point of the day is that I got some experience with a real life sharing of the gospel with someone. Tommorow I plan to share with KC. We have arrangments to meet in the Attrium around 10 to study.

Btw, I have made 3 meeting arrangements and they have all met in the attrium... I dislike this because it furthers the idea that the unicentre is the best place in the world, which I do not believe. I usually avoid it actually.

Anyways, you could pray for me I guess... xP

Date Night

Heyo.

Today was my baptism.

I seriously don't know why I was so freaking nervous. I couldn't even see anyone...

One really cool thing though is that I was actually cleaner after it. xP I mean I didn't have any sandals or anything, so my feet got really dirty before my baptism.... xP but after my feet were clean, and I felt cleaner.

I don't like being the centre of attention very much...

My parents came for my baptism, but left immediately after... xP just like every concert after grade 9. xP I'd stay and clean up / put away everything and they'd go home...

I didn't have any plans today because it was going to be the church picnic at Vincent Massey park, but was cancelled due to weather, so we went to Pho' Maxim. I like pho' but everytime I always put in way too much hot sauce... this is one reason why I always order bubble tea. xP except this time it wasn't bubble tea, it was a durian milkshake. xP So good. AW was like "can I smell it?" so she did and made an expression of disgust. xP L(?) is cool. He told me that today wasn't just about me making a commitment, it was also about God declaring that I am his or something. xP

After Pho' I went home, procrastinated a bit, then CW came over. We just talked for a while, then we played Halo. xP Me and CW aren't great at Halo...... In the end we were playing in a mode where you build the area or something, so one guy was kinda cheating the whole time and we didn't figure it out until JK told us. xP Then it just got messed up and CW just kept dying... xP it went to like 150 to 20... then we were all bored of it. Some people take so much joy in killing other people in video games...

We went to DQ. I got a mint milkshake (yum. I ALWAYS get a mint milkshake. Always.) and saw EK.

We then watched Date Night. It's kinda ridiculous. xP Steve Carrel is funny. xP

So, ya. I got time to hang with my housemates (minus RL who just got back from Waterloo) and just chill. Real school starts this week. class every morning at 8:30... fml. jk.

YA are People Too.

So. I need a haircut.

Aside from that I can begin talking about my day.

I woke up at 7. Watched anime. Ate breakfast. Then I went on a day long journey into the life of a YA. Basically I hung out with CW all day. First we helped DZ move into CW/JS's house. Then I helped CW in trimming C(?) and E(?) hedges. Then we had Shwarma and returned CW's boss' truck. Then we played video games. Then we played Monopoly Deal. Then we went to worship practice.

Everytime we play Grace Like Rain it is like the most amazing song ever.

So, ya. Doesn't my day sound normal..? I guess YA are people too... or maybe I'm just turning into a YA..?

Ewww. I have to work tommorow...

RL is going to buy a laptop woth money from a loan he got from the bank to pay for food this year... Good planning eh? xP

Redeeming the Times

So. What did I do today..?

My phone got messed up. I decided not to go to a risk party that I had previously decided to go to. I went to another mall. I went to the prayer meeting. I watched a few episodes of another anime. I did a bible study on making God lord over your money. I wrote down all my contact info from my phone onto a sheet of paper... >.> PvZ... XP it's getting boring though, so I'm nearly done with it I think...

...

So, ya. My phone got messed up. I was just texting AdSB about the RISK party and suddenly my phone gets messed up... When I click send the screen freezes, the phone turns off, the phone turns on, then all the texts in my inbox / outbox are deleted. Also from then on whenever someone texted me the text would be blank, but in the subject would be the first like 10 characters of the actual message... This is a pain becuase I text a lot... So, I called Samsung, I called Koodo, I went to Billings Bridge, they took my phone and gave me a loaner. The loaner doesn't have a keyboard... and i think the camera is worse, but its better then nothing I guess...

...

I started watching Skip Beat as my extra anime. It's kinda girly... This girl who was madly in love with this guy went with him to tokyo to help him with his singing career. One day she went to see him after work and she overheard him saying how she meant nothing more to him then a maid. She had been living for him. Paying for his hotel room and all his living expenses. She then swore revenge on him. The only way to do this is to get into the show business. So she is trying really hard, but she doesn't really have any conventional talent... xP

Anyways, I went to the prayer meeting. This week me and HO were the only english congregation members there. We prayed with Pastor AN. Pastor AN is cool. He prayed for us. "Spiritual Father" "Phophetic Voice"

I really do like the prayer meetings, but I can't really sight sign, I don't always have something to say, and I kinda don't know the chinese congregation very well, so I'm kinda shy around them...

xP... Whenever I'm in a situation where I don't really know many people I will cling onto someone I know and just follow them around.

Ya, the whole night there were thunder clouds. It was cool how we could just pray while the storms were thundering outside. It wasn't raining near us, but we could still hear and see it.

I got a drive home with HO. Everytime me and him are alone he ends up talking way more then I do. Like there are a number of things I could have said in relation to what he said, but I just didn't and he kept talking. ... Like he asked if I'd ever thought about reading the whole bible cover to cover. I said I thought of it and one time I read Genesis and part of Deuteronomy then stopped... clearly this made him think I wasn't reading everyday. I didn't tell him that I've been reading a chapter of the gospels everyday for a couple months...

Ya... sometimes I just don't say enough... but i'm not very good with words...

...

Whatever.

I'll talk to you later..........

No Cold Water

So, ya.

I kinda told you everything I did today already, so I don't know what to tell you. So here are some generic and semi-random / semi-unnessesary things that I havn't told you yet...

1. You know how in the summer it's hot... and sunny... and you can see reflections in the pavement because the air is hot..? Well you know that buzzing you hear..? I thought that was caused by the hot air for the longest time. Just the sound of summer, you know..? No... T.T it's actually just cicadas, which are pretty cool.

2. My shower currently has no cold water availability. This is because the cold water knob is kinda broken. This is actually a real pain... but my brother doesn't mind... >.> he likes hot water...

3. I suck at English. This includes spelling. Don't blame me for bad spelling please. I just don't care that much. If it sounds right, it's good enough. xP

4. Last week when we went to St. Laurent to watch Shrek 4, I got a drive home from DZ. I accidentally left it in his car. I didn't care much because it was a 5$ umbrella, so I just didn't mention it. Today, I got a drive home from Silvercity Gloucester from him. It was still there. xP

Ya. DZ doesn't talk much and I don't talk much to people that I don't really know, so the drive was kinda awkward. He was using his GPS and he had his ipod plugged in. It has a very aclectic collection of songs. Including last time I've heard k-pop, pop, rock, classical, background music from video games (including maplestory... lol...), and like other random stuff.....

The first song today played twice. The whole time I was like, "ummm is this Big Bang or not....? it really sounds like them...." I never asked him. I kinda wanted to look through his ipod and put on "only look at me" by Tae Yang, but I feel like you need to know someone before you ask to look through their ipod.

It turns out it was Big Bang.

Big Bang rocks.

Also tonight I was talking to CW and he said I might be able to work with him sometimes. I had been thinking about asking him for a while because it sounds cool and is not detail oriented. As far as I can tell it's mostly a physical job. CW does 'landscaping'. Whatever that entails. xP I think it sounds cool, but he never really talks in detail about his job.

Ya.

"Hey AL. Have you ever snuck into a theatre for free before..? No..? Good. Apparently you get caught and kicked out if you do. You should probably not take your girlfriend/boyfriend on a 'free' date to watch a movie. That would be embarassing... but I suppose you'd have to have a gf/bf to do so... I don't have a gf."
