So, whats up yo..?
Today was pretty awesome.; I went to church, got to see a whole whack of YA, ate leftovers, and then I hung out with friends all day! You know, when you go off to University and your friends all don't go to yours because 'Ewww. Carleton!' you kinda don't see them much. =/
Ya we started at Timmies with a brainstorming session. Well, actually it started a few days before with a brainstorming chain email which got us nowhere, but that we are all poor and want to hang out. Ya, so we went to Timmies for the fact that we would then at least be hanging out. Kinda back fired into just me, AL and RM at Timmies, but YC and TWH would join us eventually. We loitered in a number of places and caught up. We went to Zellers and played with the 'octave-pus' or so I just witfully named it. It was an octopus plush with a different squeezable tentacles that played a different note in a scale. We kinda broke the top note... xP We then went from house to house taking things we thought would be a good idea for when we got to RM's house. By house to house I mean from my house to my house meaning my parents house to the boy house and we got wiimotes, wii games, dutch blitz, the sing-a-ma-jigs, monopoly, a few movies, etc. We bussed.
At RM's we played Super Smash Brothers, Mariokart, broken telephone pictionary (which will soon be scanned onto AL's blog)(best game ever.), ate spagetti, hammered a defenseless gingerbread house into pieces, played with the sing-a-ma-jigs even discovering new modes!, and just chilled in general. I don't mean to be offensive, but that was the creepiest grace that has ever been said before a meal..... It was like a chant...
Anyways, I need to read a few chapters of Isaiah (I will do this tommrow..?).......

NYE Part 4
... of Time Ever. XPPP....
I didn't really have a costume. I just wore shorts and a short sleeved shirt with no foot wear. It was kinda awkward walking by the wedding xPPPPPP....
Ya, when we got to the party there was dancing and video games and food and human foosball and a whole bunch of stuff. It was all decorated with blue and green and the projector screens had aquaticly themed pictures and there was a beach ball flying around and there were some very intersting costumes such as spongebob, sushi, a shark, a stingray, an oyster, jelly fish, pirates, the navy, a whole bunch of stuff.
We danced for a while and then we prayed and sang songs with the band and prayed and sang some more and danced some more.
The party ended at 1am and I got to my room at 1:40. TB apparently likes the show "Auction Kings" so we watched that until 2 then we went to sleep.
I awoke and thought I should find out what time it was before going back to sleep. It was 8:15. No more sleeping... XP

NYE Part 3
... Ya, the main session started with the MCs singing a song and there was a bunch of other stuff, but no main speaker or message. Mainly it was praying. When we were about to pray the fire alarm started going off though. XP
I know what you're thinking. A fire alarm on New Year's Eve and there are 4 parties going on in this hotel one of which is a wedding. That's kinda terrible... Well, the fire did exist, but it was a large distance away. You see a number of buildings are connected to the hotel. So we just continued praying, but with the alarm going of intermitently... XP...
Ya. After the main session was the party. They just needed to finish setting up and a large number of people needed to put on their costumes, so there was a half hour break.
In the end instead of going right away, me and RM chilled with DK in our room. Chilled is not a good term for it though. XP.... It was kinda a massive pillow fight ending in body slamming people from one bed to another. XP Biggest Waste...

Wow... XP I havn't told you guys anything since yesterday evening. I don't feel like too much happened yesterday though... We had a 7 hour free time / lunch / dinner break between sessions.
Anyways, I woke up, we went to main session (it was split into boys and girls for this one) and the speaker talked about how boys aren't becoming men because the definition portrayed my media has shifted into 'you are a man by what you consume' instead of 'you are a man by what you produce' and stuff like that.
After main session we went for lunch downstairs at the food court and got Indian food. It was very interesting because I don't have Indian very often.
After that a few friends we had made back in Ottawa (MK and HK) joined us in our free time and we went to Markham and just hung out. XP DK was also around. We played some monopoly deal and when HK and MK had to leave we went for Korean BBQ.
Korean BBQ was good except for how pressured we were because we only had like an hour until ......

#300. ... Skitty..?

Okay this is lamer than I was hoping it to be... The number 300 pokemon is Skitty. I dislike Skitty. I also kinda dislike speaking to people I don't know very well. In other words transition into the day of outreach, which I think I have already talked about, so instead I will talk about how we went to Times Square and I had vietnamese noodle soup a durian milkshake (so good. more real than the last one I had. It actually smelled this time. xP) and mint bubble tea. So good.
Anyways, tonight we had some songs we had already sang but with a few french lyrics (because there are some french speaking people at the conference) both God you are my God and Your Name.
It annoys me that I cannot find the first song.... But here are the French words for the Chorus. xP
Dieu tu es mon Dieu
Glorieux Glorieux
Dieu tu es mon Dieu
Victorieux Victorieux
The worship leader was saying how in heaven there will only be one language and we will all be able to speak it, but the fact that we can praise the same God in every language is amazing. xP
Dutch Blitz..? So Good.
Lightning Reaction. Very amusing for a while.

Winter Conference: Commence!
So,
The first main session ended a few minutes ago or so and now after some breif exploring we are going to play monopoly deal... XP
I accidentally texted my parents an "XP" and they did not know what it meant.... And I did not feel like explaining so I told them to ask my brother.
It's a bit odd now that my parents have a cell phone that I can instantly inform them of what I am doing, except that would be weird, so I'm not. XP
Worship in a mass crowd is the best. XP

Sick at Christmas
So, hey.
What's up..? I'm really busy with work and studying and stuff. That is what I should say, but honestly, it's only been like a few hours of work a day and I have not studied yet and I have wasted massive amounts of time watching Pokemon Best Wishes and playing Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. I also havn't really been reading the Bible or praying too much... and I've fallen to quite a spiritual low... If it wasn't for my friends and a certain blog I would be even lower possibly.
So, ya. I started working in Salad Bar on Tuesday and I have worked like 25 hours since then. Christmas is the time when people buy platters because they are having parties and stuff so they needed to make a bunch. Salad bar is pretty fun. There's always something to do and you often have someone to talk to. Broccoli Salad looks really gross though..... xP Like someone already chewed it. Spinach Salad looks sooooo tasty....
Also, the main reason I have been wasting my life on LoZ is because I am going to give it to my brother for Christmas, but I would like to play it first. I mean, I bought it in September and didn't play it until Wednesday. I'm nearly done, just one more temple and then the final boss fight. Ya... xP
YA was so much fun on Thursday. We had a going away potluck for R(?) and HK. Then, while JC was finishing her project worth 40% that was due at midnight we went tobagoning on a GT Snowracer. LOL. Just Lol. We had a short lived competition to see wich team could go the farthest, we ran down the hill. xP We then went and tobagoned down the bridges... xP It's more fun then it sounds. Then we went back to CW's house. "Look out for the hill!" LOL.
Ya.....
I was thinking how can we ever live up to God's expectations? Like its so easy to sin, how can he expect us not to...? Do we just have to try our hardest..? No..... I've thought this before. We can't try our hardest and expect that to please God. Our hardest is still a giant failure. Humans are weak and sinful. We can't rely on ourselves to please God or try to earn favour. 1. Our best is still far from good and 2. It just doesn't work. This is why Jesus came down on Christmas a couple thousand years ago. He came to us because we could never reach Him with our own efforts. He came to reconcile us to God, to take away our sins, to give us power over sin, to give us his Spirit. But if we don't rely on his strength we just fall back to the situation we were in before.
Why do we sin? Why? Why can't it just be easy? How can I want to live as Jesus wants me to, while at the same time be hiding sin.
On a lighter note, I found these amazing toys at Zellers the other day. Sooo fun. xP
xP. Taken on my phone, so ya.. xP The toys sing each sing a different song, but you get to decide the tempo, by making them sing the next note in the song each time you squeeze them. They also hold the note as long as you squeeze them. They make chords and stuff if you play with more than one at a time, but while taking the video I only had one free hand and there was a message over the intercom (it wasn't the toy talking xP)... So, ya. You should just go and see them in person. xP

His Name is Jesus
Ok. Honestly, right now, if I liked beer at all, I would probably have a hangover.
You see, last night was poker night at CW's house. It started at 7:30 and Everyone left around midnight. There were only 3 games in that time. The first game with 6 people took like 2 hours. Another game with like 4 people started about halfway into the first game on a second table and ended before the first game did. The third game was 10 people and ended around 11:50ish.
I don't really care about poker. I don't play very often and I don't ever expect to win, but I will play almost every hand. Like, even a bad hand could win if everyone else's hands are terrible. Since it was a game with no money involved, whenever I had a pile of chips I'd usually just throw more chips in everytime I could. Make the game go a bit faster, make it a bit more interesting. By doing this on a hand of two queens, I thought I had lost a thousand or so, but someone pointed out I actually had a flush, so I won a large pile of chips.
The blinds kept going up and I slowly lost because I don't fold very much.
The reason that I would have gotten drunk is a combination of the presence of beer / wine combined with my current attitude. I was kinda depressed because I had sinned earlier. Like, if you can shift the blame off of you, you don't feel as bad, but it was all my fault, I barley fought it and I failed Him again.
When I sin, sure I'll pray right away afterwards, but ideally I will pray before I give in completely and instead walk past the temptation. I know I can't hide my sins or inequities from Him, but yet I still act that way. I say I'm sorry, but then I kinda ignore him while feeling guilty...
On top of this guilt I was also kinda getting really angry at how slow the game was going. AL [a different one.] thought I was really serious. No, I was just not yelling. Instead I was trying to hide how angry I was. People were drinking, not paying attention to the game, eating, getting the pizza out of the oven, talking to their parents on the phone, playing music loudly and changing the songs. Everyone left the table many multiple times for various reasons and AL thinks too much about every move.
It's just a game. It should be fun. I think beer tastes really bad, so I didn't drink more than a couple sips.
I got home at like 1:00 and went to sleep.
I had a dream of some sort, but the only part I still remember is being in a computer lab and singing "His name is Jesus, precious Jesus" quietly out loud. The lyrics are from King of Glory by Third Day.
So, ya. I will attempt to play that song on guitar later after I study for Chem.

Maple Cabin
Heya!
It is now 9 am the next morning. CU vs OU. Kinda interesting. Kinda immature. XP....
I woke up at like 7:30. There's this photo contest, well, there's a competition between all the Univerities here (CU, OU, Concordia, Queen's, and McGill) and there are various games / sports / contests to get points.
The first photo contest was "don't let the bed bugs bite". The CU guys took a picture of all of them without shirts under one blanket... There wasn't room for me is my excuse... Anyways the OU guys took a picture of them in our cabin while we were sleeping at like 3. If they win, we can argue that it is our picture. Lol....
Anyways it is now the second session.

“Hello. Everything is cool here. My matress is the most inflated and it's the only one that is completely manually filled. I'm one of 7 people from our church that are at the grade 1-2 vacation bible school. They are really cute and only like 5 of the 33 are kinda annoying. The grade 1s are ridiculous, but the grade 2s are pretty cool. Me and 3 others are in charge of the grade 2s. There are 11. The thing is that 2 of them don't speak english very well and there's one crazy kid. We've been having mostly asian food with rice. Its all been tasty. We just got back from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Prayer meeting. It was very intense. Everyone keeps telling me things like "roaming charges are 2$ per minute that your phone is on" and stuff, so my phone has been off most of the time. I'll talk to you later.

... “
“...
Like today I 'played' pokemon and yugioh/zatchbell with this grade 1 kid. We were definatley playing by his rules, both because he was 6 years old and because he had chinese cards, so I couldn't complain even if I wanted to. I lost both times, needless to say.
So, I'm in charge of the devo tommorow morning, so I need (underlined and italicized) to wake up (wake. Up.) at 6, not lie around for an hour... XP
So, ya... Today was Unexpected, but so amazing and cool. A very new experience.
Ttyl.

D.Fa”
“So, today was the third day of vbs here and, ya, it's been a long one... I guess.
All my clothes and even my sheets are getting smeely, so I washed some of my clothes. They are in the dryer right now.
We went into town and walked over the Brooklyn Bridge and walked around and stuff.
I have my hair in a gel-less fauxhawk too by the way.
We don't get to watch the "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" videos anymore because they are a bit too much for 6 year olds... >.>
I'll ttyl.
D.Fa”
“"Now you're just 'dum'!"
Okay. Hey.
So, there's just one day left.
RL is depressing me and tommorow is gonna be really sad because all these kids are really cool. I love these kids yo.
I suppose, well, I definately believe that this is a different situation then normal. I mean, normally I'm shy and stuff, but I've actually talked to and bonded with so many of them. T.T I'm pretty sure that I might cry tommorow...
I really want to like hug all of them tommorow. >.>
...
D.Fa”
“"because he was in CW's car."
So, ya. Today was the last day of the vbs. It was sad seeing all the kids leave and the skit was kinda messy, but today was good overall. I made a cape and mask! "Dynamite Dylan". Basically, Gambit's powers of exploding things, but more flashy. XP... I made it up only for the alliteration... >.>
We also went shopping today. I have no US money left now. Poor CC...
So, ya... We are now wasting time staying up playing board / card games while listening to worship songs. We will likely stay up all night.
It is now 1:45.

Awesome Creation
So. Hey.
My cell phone was confiscated Friday night, so I couldn't blog this weekend.
Part of the point of the camping trip is to get away from technology and electronics, but ya. This post is going to be a summary of the trip and I'm gonna start at Friday.
So, I woke up and had to finish choosing songs. Apparently I missed a couple though, but really I had to figure out how to print a document that was on my laptop. I thought emailing it to my computer would ruin the formatting because my laptop was all like older ms word's might not keep the same formatting and the whole point of a large portion of the day Thursday / Friday was formatting the document, so I tried to set up my printer to my laptop... It was taking so long, so while that was happening I also emailed myself and the formatting was fine. This was like 10 minutes after I should have been leaving my house... xP I also hadn't really finished shoving stuff into my bag. I ended up forgetting my towel which is hanging on the back of my door because I never threw it on the pile of stuff I was taking.
So, ya.
We were camping in Gatineau Park by Lac Phillipe. This is the same camping site as two years ago. (This is an annual camping trip for the YF in our church.) So, for the missions trip next week we bought walkie talkies so we were testing them out on the camping trip sometimes. NC is funny.
The first night Pastor DB broke the B string on the guitar... xP It was fine, but there was no B string, so like the chords kinda had a low chord and then a high note. xP
At like 11, we were told to get ready for bed and stuff. The other guys tent was pretty loud... xP There were 5 guys in it and really there wasn't enough room, so JS had to lie on top of them... xP This caused much of the noise. By like 12 almost everyone was making an attempt to go to sleep, except for Pastor DB and TM who were talking quietly at the fire, and the boys tent. They were being quite loud and everyone was telling them to be quiet. Nothing worked until HK, after unzipping her tent, yelled "Boys, if you don't stop talking you're going to be cleaning all the dishes tommorow!" Pastor DB and TM thought she was yelling at them and immediately went to bed. xP It was silent after she yelled. xP
AL gave a cool bible study on Prayer Saturday morning, we went to Mont Cascades (I got burned. xP), there were group activites / competitions which ended in everyone sharing bubbles / smores.
The meals were fine. At sometimes there was a bit too little for everyone, but overall it was fine.
We spent a good portion of our free time playing this game that all the YA have been playing recently. I still have only won once... The game 'Monopoly Deal' is pretty fun, but when you have 7 people playing, the game gets kinda messy. We stayed up until 2 playing yesterday. xP That last game was intense. Here's an online demo if you want to know how to play. http://uk.pogo.com/hotdeploy/uk/promotions/marketing/monopoly-deal/ I bought the game on Tuesday, so I can play it too. xP
Today we (my tent) woke up at 8 and then changed, packed up, ate breakfast, then it was time for church. This year, mostly for the parents who would have to come pick us up and possibly miss church Pastor DB decided to have two services; One in the Park and one back at OCBC. No parents showed up for it though. xP
After we got back to OCBC, I stayed and helped the worship team by doing A/V (all the A/V people were on the camping trip. xP) so I heard the sermon twice. It was about the extraordinary schemes of the devil in our lives. Which is very clear to us because our friend has gone through a lot, but that's all I will say on my blog.
The main reason that having my phone taken away this weekend was troublesome is because I like taking pictures of cool still lifes or landscapes and we were in the Gatineau hills, which are so cool. So, ya... that was annoying, bu t I borrowed SB's camera and CC's camera sometimes.
Aside from all that stuff is only the most amazing point.
I seriously spent at least an hour or so just lying on the ground looking at the stars this weekend. I seriously really like looking at the stars when I am in an area with less light pollution. And there were no clouds. none. It was sooo awesome. Like yesterday I spent at least 20 minutes lying on the ground, at about 1 am (it wasn't that cold last night.), staring at God's amazing creation praying. Like, your creation is so amazing and I can't even take a picture of it or express it in words. I deffinately saw like 5 shooting stars last night.
I'm just really glad that I got to spend this weekend in fellowship with all those guys and soon I'll get to spend a week in New York with some of them.
I'll talk to you later.

Ridonkulous
So, ya.
We watched Shrek 4. It was pretty funny.
Then we went for dinner at the food court. lolz at the escalator.
We walked around Toys'r'us and then bought / played monopoly deal. which can be fun.
DZ drove the remaining 5 of us home.
I'm tired.

Party Crashers
So, today started with a sprint to work after I woke up 5 minutes before I was supposed to be there.... xP I stayed up until 2 playing a ridiculous game... xP
So, ya... I hate corn. I think I am becoming allergic or were always mildly allergic.... I had to put out like 12 crates of corn.......
Praise Team was cool. From the Inside Out was sounding awkward, so instead we're playing Above All.
xP..........
Me and RL both need to get our G1's before our siblings do.

Circle Games are Awesome. XP
So we're net really doing much right now, so JS just decided "Let's play circle games!" or something. XP so we are. Which is kinda really cool cuz like if 20 somethings can play circle games and so can kindergarteners it must be like the most amazing thing ever that even goes through generations. Or something..?
[We played broken telephone twice and going through 20 people, some asian, some caucaisian, the messages usually were quite messed up... xP]

Sometimes I Forget to Write a Title because I Don't Normally Write Subjects for Text Messages... xP
We're back at TM's house with about 18 people..? We're playing president and some other people are playing rock band 2. We are going to have bbq once some people get back.

Pie-Flavoured Candies
So, JC has been asleep for a while, basically since he sat down on the train he has been out. We took random photos VB's faces were pretty much priceless.
We are playing a ridiculous drama game, or at least I assume, called "Who's Closest?" In this game there is a judge who decides on a topic. The competitors then choose a topic to guess. Everyone's choices are announced and then the competitors try to proove that their choice is closest, well, not really... They just need to get the judge to say that their guess was closest.
Choice.
D.Fa
P.S. Lololololololololol *pause to breathe* lolololololololololololololololol "the other people on the train are worried about you." lolololololololololol "The trains pretty quiet except for us, eh..? We're the 'people' at the back." lolololololololololol "We should record this!" *silence* "We are not going to stop recording until you laugh" *silence* ... Lol

The Smell of Rain
So, ya... Today was another day. I have recently been going to sleep like past midnight and not waking up until like 10... xP Although I do like that I can sleep now, it seems like wasted time and going to sleep at 1 is probably not that great of an idea... Tommorow I have rehearsal at 1, so I should probably wake up a bit earlier.
So, I kinda changed the page a bit again. I kinda want the Title centered and with something under it so you can read it, but it's okay I guess.
Today's softball game was kinda wet, a bit, I guess... It kinda was raining the whole time we were playing... I don't think it had anything to do with all the anger though. We were playing against the team that has almost no losses for the whole season. Our coach really wants to win, so he gets angry at the umpire for missing little things or calling something different;y from what he saw. This has been happening for the past couple weeks with the same umpire. Today it kinda escalated. Our catcher even walked off the field because of him. In the end we lost something like 8-1. That 1 was really skecthy... xP If the other team hadn't missed a throw it would have been 8-0.
I was prepared to pitch, but wasn't needed (we only played 4 innings, starting with a female pitcher and we didn't play the bottom of the 4th because we had less points then them...)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is pretty fun. Games where you collect things so that you can move on are kinda funny when you are a perfectionist. There are places on the map that you can't pass until you have a certain amount of stars. That amount (so that you don't need the hidden stars or even all of the obvious stars) is less then the perfectionist amount. I mean when I get there I'll have a number more then I need. It's just funny. Believe it!
So, ya. I thought that if it was raining hard enough the game would be post-poned, I would get to see Toy Story 3 with a bunch of friends, and I'd have to miss the make-up game because I'm too busy, but the game was played 'rain or shine'. Our possibly last game is Thursday. If we don't win it with enough runs we will automatically be third place, out of three teams... >.>
So. ya.....
"Hey AL, there's a window in my house that, I think, has been fully open for a few days, but I still don't have a girlfriend."

P.S. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is almost done!! The manga finished a couple weeks ago and there are only two episodes left!! This is the fifth opening entitled "Rain" by SID. I think this artist uses autotune, especially when he's doing vibrato... >.> It's still a cool song
P.P.S. I have a couple friends that post covers of Taylor Swift songs / Music Videos for random songs on youtube. I just watched their newest video. It made me smile. =D

I never know what to bring to potlucks...
"Hey AL, I'm way too tired to blog right now. XP... YA was cool. We had a worship potluck. XP oh. I don't have a girlfriend..."
So ya... It's like almost midnight.
Today was pretty amazing. The start was rough but the rest was pretty cool.
playing frisbee baseball and water bottle basebowling in the e-wing.
I'm done with highschool. It hasn't hit.
Ya... If I wasn't staying in Ottawa next year, I may never see a whole bunch of my friends for a long time...
But I don't like saying goodbye, so I often just walk away from conversations... The other day I had to leave and go study. I walked by NJ and she got kinda annoyed because she said she might never see me again.
so ya.. I'm really tired...
