Makeshift 22

So, today was filled. Literally every second of my day was filled. But it was awesome. I kinda slept through Biochem class though... >.>

Later on I helped LF in Phys Chem class. Helping him find errors in his assignment.

Next was my break. I think I was... umm. Ya. I was in the Loeb building chilling with some of my friends working on my BIOC lab and doing the prelab quiz. Then I ran off to my Plant Bio class and learned Korean again. lol. There was a beet being passed around the class. >.> and he was telling us about weird stems...

Then I had to go help out at the Raven's Log table for Carleton's Club Days. There were like 4 or 5 of us there so I really didn't do anything. I joined CUJA (the Carleton University Japanese Association) and got a FootPatrol Application. Also I said I would like to volunteer with Sock and Buskin (theatre group) not to mention that I'm an exec in Raven's Log (which you should definitely check out some time. I will link it in the side bar..? It is a youtube club). On top of C4C stuff... I'm overloading myself... again.... lol.

Between 4:30 and 6 I did a WBS Bible Study. That was cool. It was about the Family of God.

At 6 I had a Co-op seminar thing. It was informative and funny. There were four employers from varying workplaces and we got to ask them questions. I took 7.5 pages of notes. I have to write a resume or something by Wednesday...

At 7:30 I went to this meeting for 'Makeshift 22'. What in the world is Makeshift 22..? That is what I was thinking going into it. SC president of Raven's Log told us to all go and network, promote the club etc. Makeshift 22 is an amazing idea. It's all about cross-disciplinary and inter-club projects supporting each other and working collaboratively on projects for good causes. Also, they want to be able to support projects that individuals have but have nowhere to throw out this idea and get it started and rolling. On top of funding they also will be able to provide people support and ideas and basically promotion too and everything really. They can look into their members database for people interested in such projects or useful in that area and get your ideas off the ground. It's still starting up because last semester was it's first semester and it was only architecture last year. I see a lot of potential here and want to see it grow.

Ya. I'm excited, over worked, under slept and have a lab to finish. lol

NYE Part 1

Wow... XP I havn't told you guys anything since yesterday evening. I don't feel like too much happened yesterday though... We had a 7 hour free time / lunch / dinner break between sessions.

Anyways, I woke up, we went to main session (it was split into boys and girls for this one) and the speaker talked about how boys aren't becoming men because the definition portrayed my media has shifted into 'you are a man by what you consume' instead of 'you are a man by what you produce' and stuff like that.

After main session we went for lunch downstairs at the food court and got Indian food. It was very interesting because I don't have Indian very often.

After that a few friends we had made back in Ottawa (MK and HK) joined us in our free time and we went to Markham and just hung out. XP DK was also around. We played some monopoly deal and when HK and MK had to leave we went for Korean BBQ.

Korean BBQ was good except for how pressured we were because we only had like an hour until ......

Thought

I would really like to have asian house mates. XPP.

This thought is coming from my current white roommates deciding to have Macdonalds for supper even though its kinda far and there's korean bbq across the road..........

Also, TB doesn't buy asian food because he can (if he wanted to) have some of his asian house mate's food. XPP....

My asian house mate does not buy food. XP

So, I got off the subway at Finch and stumbled around and finally managed to make it to the bus station.......

I feel like I'm in little korea or something though.... XP A lot of korean stores and restaurants and people around here..... XP

Playlist!!

So.

I was wasting time during my chem lab time (I did my lab last week) and happened to blogstalk to a korean music blog. I thought "why does AL follow this blog..?" and then I saw it. There was a playlist in the sidebar!!! With korean music!!!! So I followed a few links, made a new account and in a few minutes had a playlist on the side of my blog! >.<

I also plan to make a worship music playlist, but JS just told me to do homework, so I guess I will.

No YA of The Day... >.>

So, hey.

I need more sleep. and better meal schedules. and more sleep.

So, ya. Tuesdays suck. and I didn't even have a full Tuesday... My first class wasn't until 1 today, but I still woke up at 6, to look at my schedule and go, "oh... no bio lab today.... why aren't i still sleeping?!?!?" then i did chem work and went to school for a math lab (cancelled...) but I got to make another asian friend. xP

I walked into the class. I looked around. I sat down beside him. xP awkward silence.....

15 minutes later everyone is getting impatient / beginning to leave because our prof is late / not showing up. So, we both leave. Our next class was a math lecture and we had like an hour, so we walked around in the tunnels. I went to find out where my discussion group for film is. its pretty far away...

We went back to find out we were 30 minutes early. By this time although we had talked, I still didn't know his name. xP

So, we were waiting outside the math room and the guy I met last thursday in math shows up. They meet each other, but the funny thing is that their names are the same except for one extra 'l', so he said his name, then the other guy said his name, so the first guy was like "no, 'my name'" and so I introduced them to each other to stop it there. xP

Then a friend of the first guy who is also in japanese class showed up (not visibly asian, ie white).

I smiled because I had made so many asian* friends and because I was pwning them at hiragana. xP

These last few days had been pretty cool.

So, I get to my chem lab and find out we are all in specific places on the lab benches. I look at the list. The guy beside my name was asian. I was like "Yes!" (in my head). Then while the lab instructor (also asian) was explaining things I was standing beside this korean guy. I was hoping he was my partner, but the guy beside me had a chinese name, so it couldn't be him. NF was my partner today. He's pretty cool. It's weird being the 'AP' of my lab group though. xP No offense to AP, but she's always such a keener.

So, after the lab I went to a computer lab to do some stuff. My phone had died earlier so i didn't have the time. I ended up being 30 minutes late to my first film class.... >.>

Apparently there are only 2 essays this whole year though, so that's ok I guess....

Ya, I really did next to nothing but work today.. xP... like 10-6:30... I kinda slept in too... I actually worked longer then I was supposed to because I lost track of time while icing cakes in bakery. AS is funny... She just kept laughing at my attempts to ice cakes. xP not normal laughing either... like maniacle... xP

Ya. I had only eaten like 4 chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, so when I got home I was hungry.... xP

A Very Potter Sequel is out on Youtube! I watched the first act tonight. It deffinately is different then the first musical, but really, they did use a lot of material in the first one, so there isn't too much to work with.

I got MSN yesterday.

I kinda wasted some time yesterday and today learning how to read hangul (korean characters). I can get most of it now..? ya... xP
