Okay, so I'll admit that I'm not exactly the most up to date person when it comes to pop culture or new artists or anything. The other day I watched the Much Music video awards. Who is Adele..? That was my main question aside from many others. KFA said that she was pretty famous. lol. I haven't heard of her.
Anyways, Sunday was the church picnic at Vincent Massey Park. Another new brother and sister baptised showing their faith in Jesus and their choice to have a new life in Him. I was so happy for them. He had a young family and looked so excited to be getting baptised. I hope he sees how much his life is blessed.
I'd been really tempted ever since I got back from Toronto. A whole amazing week of doing something worthwhile and life changing for these children. There was no time for any sin. lol. Then I got back and there's been nothing but time. >.< And I can only be OCD so much of the day.
I actually ended up talking to RM who talked at Getaway about sin. He encouraged me.
Mostly all I have been doing is cleaning, watching anime, playing tennis, going to the hospital and sleeping. I saw my old Chemistry and Biology teacher today by the tennis courts. In an attempt to not be seen or recognized I avoided eye contact and removed my glasses. This worked for a little while, but he was doing stretches and so he had a lot of time to figure it out. GG asked about my summer and my jobs and stuff. In the end he went off jogging up and down Argue Drive. The thing was that I couldn't put my glasses back on because he would then see me wearing them. >.< So I had to play for a while without glasses. I actually think my sight has gotten a bit better. He doesn't know my brother yet, but he will. lol. He said to say hi to everyone, but I didn't want to text anyone and it's always really awkward saying someone says hello.
By the way, Adele has a few songs. The one that was nominated a lot 'Rolling in the Deep' is pretty good.
However, I actually saw my friend's cover first and I still think it is very good. Especially for them, it is one of their best covers so far. I think JG is getting better at singing. Although she apparently still hasn't had those singing lessons she said she would. >.>
Anyways,
Ttyl.

PS. YA was really cool. RL and DW were both there which was awesome. DW leaves in a few days for MacMaster. RL has a number of things to think / worry about but is content. Pray for them.
PPS. My mom is physically better. However, she isn't really thinking properly... So keep her in your prayers. She may be there for a few more days. She is not looking forward to it. She isn't sleeping during the nights. She doesn't like the hospital food. She has nothing to do with her time there. I don't want to see her in this state. I love her and want her to get better.

What can separate me from You.
You know. There is only really one thing that can eternally separate us from God and his love of us as his precious children. That one thing in the end is our choice. You see, the actual thing separating us was sin, but God defeated it by sending Jesus, God the Son, to Earth to die in our place. To sinlessly pay the price for sin. To begin the irony and unfairness that is grace.
By his death on the cross and ressurection our sins have been payed for and God has been able to offer this to us. To offer a relationship which was impossible for us when we had sin. It's our choice now as to whether or not we recieve forgiveness. It's our choice as to whether we live in sin or in his love.
'The temptation is too strong' is no excuse. We have his Holy Spirit in us. 1 John 4:4 "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." Also 1 Cor 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." He gives us the ways out, but it's our choice.
Why do we want to sin? If only we didn't have the freewill to choose sin and death. Why do I keep choosing the moments of sin knowing the guilt that comes with it. Honestly, the separation and emptiness that follows are the worst feeling ever, but I keep going back.
I'm glad that I haven't made any really stupid decisions though. I even had a dream a couple days ago and in it I said no. I never say no to sin in dreams. I mean you can live out whatever you might desire, but be unable to ever do in real life, but I still said no. I felt proud the following morning. lol.
Micah 7:8 "Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light."
Although I have fallen to temptation again, this is not the end. I will choose to remain in his love and fight sin. God help me in this. I can't do it on my own.

VBS!
Yo, I got back in Ottawa a little bit ago.
VBS was kinda really intense. 5 days from 7:30am to 8 or 8:30 in the church. Only 4 teachers. A godsent 5 youth volunteers and a bunch of aunties and uncles. It was a sprint from one thing to the next, but the youth really helped give us some breaks. Whenever we felt really tired, they were there taking our places.
Truly God has been answering prayers all week. We got the 10 kids we needed. I got stretched into doing things I wouldn't have. We had our great weather for the park trip. The church was really encouraged by this VBS. The youth, which are now five kids instead of three are really solid and are all great friends now, so much so that the church is looking for a youth worker so that they can grow.
Last day was good. Finding the day's mission involved popping massive amounts of balloons, so we blew a lot up and a bunch of people (after RL did it first) drew faces and stuff on them. He made them emotionally connect with balloons we were gonna pop. >.< One girl was like 'No. Don't pop the blue one!' and the girl who was currently popping hit that one really hard. >.<
The kids weren't really paying attention during the story.
They answered all the questions during the review game though. Poor FY... He answered all the right answers, but gave away all his points. >.> For a ten year old, he really knows a lot about the Bible. And I love his accent. lol. He did win the game even if it was a close one and everyone got prizes anyways, because the point of the game is not who knows the most or has the most points, but that they all know God loves them and sent Jesus to die for their sins, raising him from the grave and giving us the choice to become children of God.
I'm apparently too good at playing 'graveyard'.
We watched the end of the Incredibles. Then we started filling water balloons. lol. Mine were all full. The girls however didn't really make them big enough. We went to the park for water games. RL was getting pretty angry at anyone who soaked him. lol.
We got back and it was almost time for the open house. They made some fruit kabobs. I gave them their prizes (candy) and then it was time for a summarized presentation to some parents and friends of the kids. Super Cooper had his final showing. Maintenance Mac had a summary of all the missions and Bible stories. The kids all sang and danced for everyone (so cute!). AL did a gospel spotlight / rope trick which went very well. Then we had dinner with everyone although we became slightly segregated. There were four tables and it was mainly parents, kids, youth then Ottawa...
Such great changes this week though. M(?) voluntarily popcorn prayed Friday morning! A(?) prayed for the lunch. The volunteers all really bonded. The kids grew too and we grew.
I think I love Charis EFree Church now. I didn't really want to leave. I wanted to be able to help more with outreach and discipling (not that I know much). But I can't really just drop everything and live in Scarborough. >.>
Modern Family with RL and MC. So good.
Today was sleeping in until 8. Packing. Breakfast. Debreif. Prayer. Lunch. Egg Tart! Playing with Tina who bit me a lot. >.< Then off to the bus station. The bus was significantly late.
Slept most of the bus ride. Read the rest of it.
Grandma made us a lot of Baozi. <3
I'm gonna miss Scarborough.

PS. Pray for my mom. She has basically been a slave to prescription medication and over the counter drugs for a while and since she has been in the hospital to look at her stomach, the doctors, seeing all the medication she was taking looked into it and she had been overdosing. A lot. So she's off all of them right now. A drug holiday, and she is suffering from withdrawl right now. She's a little bit out of it. I know that God got her to go to the hospital for a reason. Pray for her.

God.
I am feeling really tempted right now.
It's way too easy.
The internet makes it way too easy.
The isolation makes it way too easy.
Why don't I love you enough?
Why don't I love you enough?
Why don't I love you enough?
The door is open,
but I'm sitting here preparing to close it.
You provide the ways out
I'm not taking them.
I know I could
I know with you I always can.
Why is sin so deeply rooted?
I know this is wrong.
I know this is disgusting.
Why am I preparing to do it again?
God help me.

Thursday.
Hey guys!
Today we were all very tired by the end and it's definitely not for any major reason. Perhaps it was the general concensus on lack of sleep, or perhaps we are just worn down, but in either case some of the kids were worn down too. lol
Today we finished working on our fishy banks. The papier mache was dried and ready for tissue paper and random things glued and taped to it. A couple balloons did not survive until they were finished drying and so, I gave mine away. It was a lot of fun popping the balloons.
I worked on B(?)'s for a while because she was pretty much sleeping. Of course she hadn't actually made hers either though. lol. It was fun though. Then she woke up and put a face on it. In the wrong place and it was really messed up, but now it is hers. lol.
We also made sheep cupcakes, meaning vanilla icing and marshmallows. lol. RL is a bad influence. He started the trend of double layered marshmallows and dipping marshmallows in the icing then eating them as is. >.>
Ahh. We did debrief and prayer during the movie so that afterwards we could leave quickly. We also had dinner with the youth volunteers today and played volleyball 5 on 5. It was a lot of fun. I'm gonna miss them.
We went home after buying some candy and now I get to make a thank you card for our host family.
Tomorrow is the last day! So soon. >.>

太大了!
So. Brief update because I'm dead tired.
Yesterday was the second day of VBS here in Toronto and it was another good day. A little less organized making me think back to Quebec and how it was always semi-chaotic and tiring, but yesterday was still very good. The volunteers continue to become more involved and take the baby-sitting aspect off our hands.
Yesterday's mission was heroes take action. The message was written on garbage bag capes. Later in the day we converted them into a volleyball net and I thought that it was super cool. I really wanted to play real volleyball, but the VBS isn't for me to be playing, it's for us to encourage and build up these kids. So it means playing for the purpose of giving those other kids the opportunity to play, especially the shorter or less aggressive players in volleyball's case.
Anyways, B(?) is super cute everyday. Getting cuter everyday. She loves balloons. Played with one for over an hour yesterday.
We attempted to make jello with pineapple pieces in it. The recipe book almost definitely wants the jello to set before inserting pineapple. You see there are enzymes in the pineapple that fight the gelatin effectively keeping it from jello-fying properly. So, we put them in the freezer. Today they were kinda slushie like. Most of the kids hacked at them for a while then gave up. lol
Yesterday night me and AL went downtown to the ex to meet up with TL, RW and LA. Problem: we are from Ottawa. Bussing, subway-ing and streetcar-ing was a very trying task. We had to buy bus coins or whatever they are called and it took a really long time to get there. We technically had a curfew of 10:30. We got home a bit after midnight. That time with them wasn't really enough, but it was still a great time. Everything was so expensive. We had a Swiss waffle with ice cream and strawberries as a substitute for funnel cake, we went on a 6$ ride, then we found funnel cakes and had one. We found out why it's a funnel cake. LA is exactly the same.
Anyways, TL took the subway with us and then his dad gave us drives. So good! Thanks! Anyways, problem: I don't know where I live. lol. I knew we turn right, go up a slight incline, turn right again and then it's the house to the left, but ya... lol. It was funny. I'm really glad I didn't have to bus home. I'm also very very glad AL didn't have to bus home.
Today started on time. I woke up and thought 'I want to sleep. Five more minutes. No. Will not work. Just get up.' So much more efficient. After like 5 hours of sleep for both me and RL (because he was skyping/ I made him stay up so I could get into the house) we were dead tired. Baozi.
Camp. Posters keep falling and more tape keeps going up. Another awesome day. We were going to go to the park in the afternoon, so we prayed for good weather. Terrible weather was forecast. It rained a bit in the morning, but dried up for the afternoon and it was sunny and nice when we went. I got to meet some new kids who were also at the park. This one four year old was so funny. He liked swinging, so we did that for a while. B(?) didn't want to go in the little swings because 'they are for babies', but wanted to go higher on the normal swings. We didn't think it was really safe, so we had to convince her otherwise. RL attempted to get into one of the little swings and I pushed him. lol. He was too big, so I told J(?) 'tai da le' with the little mandarin I have learned and he laughed so much. lol. So we kept laughing and pointing at RL for a while. xP I also got to talk to another couple kids. They are so cool. lol. One was asking about the VBS and when it was. He apparently goes to a 3 hour-a-day golf camp that cost like 300$ or something. I'm sure he could join us in the afternoons. I hope he does. We played grounders. It was a lot of fun.
Anyways, we get back. Oh! Before the park we watched a veggie tales movie. It was really funny. lol. My first veggie tales movie! So we got back and turned on a movie. Everyone was lying on the floor exhausted.
Time for P Mall!!! Pacific Mall in Markham. I'd been hearing all about it for a couple years and was so excited that we got to go. We wandered around for a while and in the end met several of AL's CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) friends. They were all really cool people. It was a great dinner. TC drove us to AL's host family through the pouring rain and thunder!
Prayer meeting. Sweet. More rain and lightning. Warning for hurricanes and thunderstorms in Toronto apparently. Thank God for giving us good weather for the park!
My mom went through a surgery today to figure out what the deal was with something and it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. I sent out a text to my EAP family to pray for her the hour before. Keep praying.
Pray for RL.

I'm in TO!!!
Hey everybody!
I didn't have time to blog yesteray before I passed out exhausted, so I will make up for that now in this post.
Yesterday started with me shoving way too much stuff in my suitcase. I definitely have enough stuff for a 6 week trip somewhere (aside from toiletries anyways) I may actually end up only wearing my orange shirt all week and nothing else. >.>
Then I went to church with my luggage and we had service. It was a pretty great service. It was a small congregation due to the BC trip (which gets back tonight) and PE was preaching. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. It had gospel to the core and had historical ties, it was educational and slightly funny.
I like this recent praying for each other at the end of service. It's sweet.
Anyways, me and SW had a good man hug then EC and I immediatly got a drive out of town by EC who lives hours away from the church by the way. It was a really long drive, but it was nice. I kinda planned to practice telling Bible stories the whole way. At 1 I started. At 5 I had written 6 pages about Naaman and the servant girl, but I had actually left out God's love and anything about the girl being a servant. It was also a tad choppy and discontinuous which is cool for a movie and stuff, but I don't know how well telling a story to children like that would work.
Anyways, EC said that we'd be in TO by 4 or 4:15. She said we were on schedule up until a certain point. It began pouring and thundering and then there was even hail for a few minutes. I enjoyed it. lol EC was pretty scared of it a couple times.
Next thing we knew we were at the church here in Scarborough decorating for a VBS! We were introduced to our three youth volunteers. They helped put tape on things and decorate. There were also a few kids who were just hanging around after church.
After the decorating we went and had a quick breifing and prayer time upstairs in this room whose windows are really low, which made me feel really tall. >.>
Digress. We had an awesome asian meal back at our host family's house. They have two boys who are going to the VBS. Also their parents are in town, so there are 8 of us in this house right now. We (me and RL) actually kinda displaced the kids from their bunkbeds. >.> This family is so nice. They do everything for us. They are even all planning to throw us a thank you breakfast on Saturday.
Today was really a little nerve-wracking going into it, but everything came out way better than any of us could have expected. I mean we all had hardly practiced all together and training really was only a week of cramming and long-term memory is way better, but the kids are awesome. The volunteers are awesome. The parents are awesome. Our team is awesome. God is more awesome!!!!
Did I mention how he answered our prayers for ten children? Yesterday afternoon after the church service another 3 children registered and now we have the minimum that we prayed for. Awesome!!!
I thought I was doing really badly for the Bible story today. I thought I was rushing and forgetting details here and there. Not to mention the oatmeal slowly dripping and drying on my arm really made me nervous and distracted. (Oatmeal arm ='= leprous)
The kids really enjoyed everything. I love them all. Such a great group of kids. Two of our (now five) volunteers are really new to church, like they came yesterday and liked it so they are back. Today they were asking a bunch of questions and I really hope God can answer them through us this week.
Pray for all these kids that God really speaks to them and inspires them to live their lives with Jesus walking beside them. Most of the children go to church, but they are children, so whether it's their faith or not is something we will have to find out. It seems that they are really awesome though.
I use the word awesome way too much.
Oh. After the story, during review game I asked vaguely what today's story was about and this kid (the cutest kid ever with the best and thickest accent) says it was about how Jesus came to save us from our sins, or something to that effect. He also answered the question 'what did Jesus do' with by his blood we are washed clean. Best kid ever. He also memorized the memory verse in like 10 seconds and said it back with his accent!
Anyways, I need to sleep. Looking forward to the rest of the week and being able to talk more with these children.
So blessed to be here.
Pray for RL!

Parking( a )lot.
Hey! It's finally time!
I have only 11 hours until church and then a little bit later I will be in a super fast rocket headed directly to Toronto! Ahhhhh! So little time to pack and sleep! (Also, I was just told to tell the floor a story while doing pushups. >.>)
I may or may not blog during next week. I have been told to bring my laptop, but I'm not sure about internet or anything, so... Maybe? I may not have time either. xP 8-6 busy with VBS. Also, add in 8 hours of sleep. That leaves 6 hours for breakfast, dinner, walking to/from church, evening prayer meetings, hanging with my EA fam on Tuesday night!!!!!!! (I can't wait!!!) and various other things. It's gonna be a sprint of a week, but God is with us! We got an 8th child registered, so that's great!
Anyways, I think I need to stop by my new house tomorrow morning... lol. Having stuff in two houses is not ideal.
Also, this morning I had my first driving lesson. You know, not bad, almost hit a pole, but whatever. The car almost over heated. I flooded the engine once. I cannot back into a parking space for my life! When the car speeds up past like 30 km/h I freak out. lol. It got better. I think I'm a bit tall for the car though (6'3" ya right.). Ok, so I practised with my dad in the parking lot for his work, which just so happens to be beside a bus station. So one van drove by and had no idea where to pick up her daughter, so that was confusing. Also, there was this asian guy who was just like watching me fail at parking for like an hour. >.> Must have seen me park like 20-30 times. Good start though. I kinda thought you could give me the wheel of the car and off I'd go. lol. Not happening. I'm actually really envious of all my friends that drove to and from school back in highschool. They'd drive to school with their parent in the passenger seat. Their parent would drive home and back once school was done and my friends would drive home. Whatever. CW can drive with me! lol. 4 years driving experience including G2, so basically anyone who was a keener at getting it and is a year older than me. Lol. AdSB and RL don't have G1s.
Anyways, I gotta go tell the floor a story.

Heroes Stand For Truth!
Hey Heroes!
Remember earlier today we discovered that our mission of the day was that HEROES STAND FOR TRUTH!? Well I know someone who stood for truth! Back a little while after Jesus had died on the cross for the sins of thw world and came back to life and went up to heaven, there was a man named Saul. He was just another religious person who followed all the rules and just did what he thought was the truth. Him and his friends weren't very nice to the people who believed in Jesus. He was sending them to jail and threatening to kill them! He continued doing this until one day...
He was walking along the road to another town with some of his buddies. Probably just another peaceful day, kinda warm, sunny, a few clouds. Just talking with his friends about the next town and how there were a bunch of people there who believed in Jesus. "Hmm. How many people did you say there were that believed Jesus is the Messiah?" "I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but they have been teaching and a lot of other people have started believing." "What should we do to them this time?" and Saul's probably about to say something very mean when at the moment he opens his mouth there is this thundering flash of light in front of him! He puts up his arms and closes his eyes to protect them from the bright light, but it's no use, it's too bright! It startled him so much he actually fell over! Then he hears this booming voice come from nowhere and say "Saul, Saul, why are you hurting me? Why are you doing these things? Why? It's me, Jesus." When the voice stops and Saul stops shivering in fear, he opens his eyes. *dramatic pause*
--What do you think he saw? Well, he actually couldn't see anything! He had been blinded! He couldn't see the ground, he couldn't walk properly. It's a good thing he had some friends with him. They led him to the city and took him to a house. Day after day passed and he could see anything! He didn't eat anything or drink anything. One day this guy comes and said that God had set Saul apart to bring His message of love and Jesus to the people all over the world. Saul was healed and opened his eyes to the real truth!
From that point on Saul changed his name to Paul and went around from city to city as God had told him to. He went and told everyone the truth about Jesus! With God's help he even wrote some letter's to new churches and he wrote part of the Bible! God inspired him to write about God's love and in chapter 8 of Romans he wrote that 'there is nothing that can separate us from God's love' nothing. Not life or death. Not angels or demons! Not powerful people, not hieght, depth, present, past, future. Nothing in all of existance! God's love for us is so great and perfect that He does everything it takes for us to be in His love and know this truth.
But you know, not everyone liked listening to Paul talk about God and the truth. People kicked him out of the city, people even disliked him so much that they'd throw rocks at him! They threw him in jail and tried to kill him on a number of occaisions. Paul wasn't safe. While he was in Rome he was staying with a bunch of soldiers for his safety. Paul was a hero for standing for truth even when times were hard. So was his nephew.
Although we don't know his name, a time that he was really brave was written down in the Bible. You see, there was a large group of people who didn't like Paul. Maybe one of them was thinking something like this: 'We don't like Paul! He keeps saying that Jesus died for my sins! I have none! I do everything in the law! Every rule and regulation! How can he say I am a bad man!??!' There were actually a number of people who thought that they were good people and didn't need to be saved, but the Bible says that 'There is not a [good] man on earth who does what is right and never sins.' (Ec 7:20) These people were actually plotting to kill Paul. They were going to make up some lies and get the council to make Paul come to court again and then they'd kill him on the way! They were so angry at Paul that the forty of them said they would not eat or drink until he was dead!
Someone overheard these men though. --Do you know who? Actually it was a young boy, Paul's nephew! He had heard the whole thing! But what could one young man do about forty angry people planning to kill his uncle?!? He was probably really really afraid. You know? If he told anyone, they might come and kill him too! But he loved his uncle Paul! He had to do something! He couldn't stand there and let them tell lies and kill his uncle!
Not knowing what to do, he went to find Paul. Approaching the barracks where Paul was staying with all the soldiers, he's probably getting pretty scared again. I mena he's just a young man and this is a big building full of powerful men armed with weapons and shields. *hyperventalate* but he needs to tell his uncle!
I can imagine him approaching the front desk of the building asking where Paul was staying. 'excuse me,' he says sheepishly to no response. 'excuse me.' *cough* *gulp* 'Excuse me.' "Oh, I didn't see you there. Yes, what do you want?" the receptionist says in a grizzly voice. 'Umm. Do you know where my uncle is?' "Well, who is your uncle?" 'Umm. Paul. Paul of Tarsus.' "oh yes. He's just this way. Hey gary! Take this boy to Paul, okay?"
And so he is taken to Paul. As he's walking he sees out the doors of the hall people fighting each other and making noises and yelling!
Finally he sees his uncle Paul!
He runs over and tells him the whole story, quickly and in a rush pouring out all he had bottled up inside. Everything about the forty men and about them wanting to kill Paul and not eating and Everything! 'Calm down, calm down. We'll have to think this through. I can't just leave without a reason. I think you are going to have to tell someone else this story of yours.' "But uncle Paul! I came all this way and told you, can't you tell someone?" 'Why should they believe me? If they want me to be killed they won't listen.' A lightbulb lights up above Paul's head. 'Aha! This just might work. I think you are going to have to tell the commander. He has the power and could listen to you.' "but Paul!" 'Its your choice.'
Thinking over it, he realizes that he needs to speak up and save his uncle and so he sets out in the direction Paul had pointed him in. Probably hiding from everyone along the way.
He gets to this door with 'Commander' written on it and he starts shaking again. 'Who will listen to a little boy anyways? right?' "Did I hear someone at the door?" Taken aback by the sudden question and wondering why he had said that aloud, Paul's nephew had a choice. Answer and go in to speak to the commander, or run away. --Which do you think he did? Yep! Even though he was probably so scared that he couldn't move, he spoke up and said he had a message for the commander because it was the only way he could save his uncle.
In the same way, Jesus was pretty scared before his death too. Dying is pretty scary, you know, but it was the only way that God could bring all of us back to him. He saved us not because of the things we had done, but because of his mercy and love for us.
After being invited in, he slowly pushed the door open. Took a deep breath and told the commander everything. The commander's face hadn't changed at all. Perhaps he was thinking? Maybe he wasn't listening? Either way, what else could Paul's nephew do? He was told not to tell anyone about this. And he was dismissed. Walking away, he knew that he had done his part and that the rest was up to God.
You know God has written in the Bible that if you confess with your mouth that 'Jesus is lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved! Paul's nephew stood for the truth he knew and believed in and told the commander. No one will know if you don't tell them! On his own, he couldn't do much, but just by telling someone, he had the chance to save someone's life.
He probably went home with a weird feeling in his stomach. The next morning he woke up and went back to see Paul again.
He wasn't there!!!!!
Uh oh. What had happened? Standing outside Paul's room his nephew starts panicking! 'What if it's happened?! What if my uncle is dead now? What if...' *breaks down crying* "Hey, boy, what's the metter, don't cry. What's the problem?" Only managing to get out the words 'Paul' and 'gone' amidst a slur of sobbing and sniffling. The soldier tells Paul's nephew. --What do you think happened to Paul?
Guess what?! The commander had summoned 470 soldiers and horsemen to bring Paul to a safe city called Ceasarea!!! 470! So many people for just one man! Not only had the commander believed his nephew, but he must have been moved by his courage in the face of danger to come and tell him about it all and sent everyone he could to make sure Paul was safe!
God had saved Paul and was going to use him in many amazing ways because Paul always stood for the truth!
---God I thank you for how you use us, even though we are young and sometimes scared. I thank you for how just by using the words you give us and telling someone the truth about Jesus and all you have done for us through the cross, you can use us to save other people. Lord I pray that we would take to heart that everything we do for you, no matter how small can be used to change the world. We thank you and pray this in your name. Amen.
[That is a probably longer than average example of telling a Bible story. Imaginatively that story mostly comes from Acts 9 and Acts 23. I may have expanded a few too many details, but it's better I do that now rather than not expand enough later. I guess this way I have options?
Anyways, today was interesting. A final run through with EC. My costume is starting to come together. I got my bus pass. I start driving tomorrow. (scary) and ya. Softball was awesome! Great job OCBC!!!!!

Heroes Save the Day!
Hey!
Sushi with AP was fun, and then it got kinda awkward. lol. Anyways, it was really great seeing her this week and it was really great being able to still be friends after all this time. Having all that time together during spares and summer school was awesome. I hope we can continue being friends for a very long time. xP
I also got to see YA for the first time in a while which was good. lol. AP and YA are pretty good friends.
I've been researching Coptic Christianity a bit. It seems like it's similar to Catholicism, but maybe with even a bit more traditions and the idea of salvation through works... >.> I hope I'm wrong, but maybe...... I need to do a bit more research.
Thursday's Bible story is about Jesus and a little boy. You see, Jesus crossed the sea of Galilee and climbed a mountain. A large crowd approached. He asked Phillip where they could get enough food to feed everyone. Not even 8 months wages could feed the more than 5000 people. Andrew finds a little boy who is willing to share his 5 loaves and 2 fish, as if that will help much. Jesus tells everyone to sit down. He blesses the meal and gives the food to his disciples to pass out. After feeding everyone there was an extra 12 baskets full of bread. God provided food for everyone's hunger and God provided Jesus' atoning sacrifice for the sins of everyone, the entire world. Jesus died and rose again defeating death.
This story doesn't come with a game like the other stories do, but I feel that it's got good gospel links.
AL leaves tomorrow. Me and EC will meet briefly tomorrow to go over skits and maybe games..?
I'm doing my G1 driver's test tomorrow. I just crammed a bit. Gotta finish cramming, then maybe a mock-test..? Then back to story-telling to anyone and anything. Apparently, I have the potential to tell good stories, but I am inconsistent. I'll just let the Holy Spirit tell it for me. xP He is consistent.
Ttyl guys.

PS. Fa is not my last name.
PPS. JAMIL is a good band. The Rock City Boy!

Ttyl guys.

Heroes Step Out On Faith!
Hey!
Today was more of the same. More story telling and working on that. Today we worked at my new house for this year. Only DK was there and he was busy studying, so we didn't actually see him until we were pretty much done.
10-6 Although, it could have been more intense. I got a bunch of good Bible verses to relate to the stories and integrate the gospel.
The third story of the week is about a Roman centurion (a commander of one hundred soldiers) who loved his servant and wanted to heal him from his sickness that had him paralyzed and suffering. The centurion went to Jesus and asked him to heal the servant, but when Jesus said he would go and heal him, the centurion replied that he was not worthy to have Jesus step in his house. As a centurion, he was a powerful man that could tell his men to do anything and they would. He also knew that Jesus was even more powerful. Just say he word and I know that my servant will be healed. Without even needing to see Jesus heal his servant, he knew that he would be healed. Jesus says that He had never seen such faith in anyone in Israel. Conclusion: the servant was healed at the same time the centurion asked Jesus.
The centurion didn't know for sure, but he trusted in Jesus and believed He could heal his servant. He took a step of faith. He believed in something even though he couldn't see it.
I really enjoy Thursday's story, but Friday's is a little boring. I don't really like the book of Acts. It's probably better then I think it is though.
Sushi tomorrow and more rehearsal time. This time EC will be there. I hope she does well on her exam tomorrow morning. RL and CL are gone on a mini-vacation thing now, so we'll see them in Toronto. They seem really prepared though, so that's good.
Ttyl.

PS. Admitedly, I've been struggling with some sin issues recently and kinda currently. Pray that God can remove them from my life by enabling me to rely more on his strength and Spirit in me, because I am failing on my own and it is leading to problems with people around me. I don't want to be the one that makes the VBS fail or cause extra stress for everyone else. Plus, we need to set an example and I am not an example right now.

Heroes Take Action!
Another long day and it's still only Tuesday.
I wasted time at home, having done none of my homework for the night. I was supposed to write up summary sheets for the five stories. A list of events, how to expand upon them and how to tie the gospel into the story. I didn't work on them last night and I wasted this morning, so after talking with AP a bit and going to VBS training I ended up doing it for the majority of the time that I was at RL and CL's house. (lol. RL and CL describes all of the people in that house). RL was working mainly on memory verse review time games and stuff and CL was mainly working on brainstorming things to pray for while we are in Toronto.
The second Bible story is about the birth of Jesus and the shepards to which the angels appear telling them about Jesus' birth. The shepards acted as heroes by TAKING ACTION! Although they weren't very popular or even respected, they left their flocks to go see Jesus and even went out to the streets and told everyone about it!
Not as much material to work with in this story, but it will be good.
My dad gave us a drive to YA and it was a good evening. We talked about the body of the church and how the many different and unique parts come together to form the body. The main action point we took from the passage (1 Cor 12:12-27) was about giving special honour to the parts of the body that are not as visible, such as administration or parents that open their houses for fellowships or maybe A/V people, or other things like that. We are planning on getting thank you cards and gifts for some such people on a regular basis.
It's almost tomorrow. >.> VBS training at my new house.

Matthew and the Penguins
Hey!
It feels like a really long time since Sunday.
Today I woke up around 9, had breakfast, then bussed off to my house. I hung up my suit from the wedding, cleaned my room a bit and read some mail. Gal 6:14 'May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.' That's what I thought of as I read my mail. I feel like I have been boasting though... >.>
Then I went to Carleton and hung out with AP for a while. She has a cool volunteering job as a lab assistant. Kinda boring research though, but it looks good on a resume.
After we had more VBS training. Today we went over the skits and I got a good long story-telling lesson. The guy beside us laughed at us a number of times. We were acting like five-year-olds though, so it is understandable. That took a while, but it was good. I really don't think I'm good at getting the ideas in my head out of my mouth and into their heads in the same way. Today's excercise of writing down the main events, expanding and seeing the gospel connection made the story mean so much more in my head, but then adding the connections while telling the story, I guess it was supposed to be a bit more subtle.
Anyways, I have heard Monday's story far too much. It was about a young Isrealite girl who was taken captive by the Aram army and made servant for Naaman's wife. Naaman of course being a highly respected officer in the king's army, but he also had leprosy. You can't really cure leprosy. It's a terrible skin disease. When the girl found out about his disease she told Naaman's wife about her God and about Elisha the prophet. If Naaman went to Elisha, God would certainly be more than able to heal him. Hearing about this chance Naaman goes to the king and asks if he can go. Aram's king writes a letter and sends it to the king of Israel. Elisha hears about this and tells the king to send Naaman to him. Naaman travels all the way to Elisha's place and is greeted at the door by a servant who says that the only cure for him is to wash in the Jordan river seven times. Naaman is pretty upset about this. Not only did Elisha not even tell him directly, but the supposed cure seemed too simple. What is the difference between this water and the rivers back in Aram? Naaman's attendant's convince him to just try it. He came all this way and it is an easy thing to do. Guess what? He is cured.
Now I just need to tell the story in a creative, dramatic, interactive, simple, understandable way that ties in the gospel.
It should be a lot of fun.

Hanging with the 'Baby Babies'
Today was fun. A lot of fun. I spent 28$ though... lol
It started with my dad making breakfast. Then I watched television with my brother. Then I recieved a couple texts. 'Where are you?' I realized that church starts at 9:30 for the summer.
I got there at 10:10 or so. Just in time for the sermon.
It was about 2 Cor 5:16-19. "So then from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciledus to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling himself to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he was commited to the message of reconciliation."
In a recent sermon Pastor DB covered the passage just a little earlier in 2 Cor about how we are pots that have been given a treasure inside. No matter what we look like on the outside, the gospel and hope and light and Holy Spirit that we have is the same and is the treasure we need in us. In a worldy view people mocked Jesus and called him all sorts of things, but they were wrong, He died on the cross, but rose again three days later. He was the Son of God. In the same way, we may look at other people and shy away from telling them about the love God has for them because of the outward appearances that make us different, but in God's sight we are all precious children of God given everything needed to be able to make the choice and return to Him.
He also ended up telling a story about a boy who he first met about three years ago who was very shy. At youth alpha when his group was asked a question it was just silence. You always had to pry the answer out of him. He was socially awkward and avoided the crowd of people. Now he is telling people all over the world about Jesus' death and God's love for them. Truly it is an act of the Spirit this change.
Anyways, after the sermon I got to pray with ML's dad and RL's dad, RL. Honestly I need prayer for relying on the Spirit, fighting sin and temptation in my life and just walking in the Spirit which is in conflict with the flesh so that you do not do what you want. It's true. When I want to be walking in the Spirit, the flesh acts up and temptation rises. If left to my own power I fall to it. But when I want what the flesh wants, the Spirit convicts me otherwise and corrects me.
Then we (Me, AL, RL and the soon to be gr 12 / 1st year uni students) went for Pho in China town. I haven't had noodle soup for so long and I haven't had Pho since April. Then, instead of doing 'just Pho' (which is a phrase I thought was just dissing Pho, not implying we should do something more) we also went to a karaoke place downtown for a couple hours. A lot of fun.
A bunch of YF are going to Salmon Arm, BC today for a week of ministry and stuff. Also, the twins will be leaving for school. Those are some reasons why we hung out today.
After we dispersed by bus. I went with RL to his house and watched more modern family. lol. It appears I've almost seen the whole first season.
We had VBS practice in the Loblaws nearby. Lots of fun. xP It's gonna be great. Pray for the children being registered. We need three more. Pray that God will bring them, handpicked for VBS.
Keep praying for RL.
Thanks.

The Aftermath
Yo.
Last night wasn't long enough to talk to my mom and blog and get enough sleep to go to a wedding, so this is it.
Yesterday was our last day of camp. We had one last morning and then we had to finish packing, give our remaining food away and ship out to the airport.
At camp we had t-shirt signing (even non-camp t-shirts), a lot of hugs, a lot of pictures, and a lot of the usual. M(?) and some of the kids were a bit sadder then usual. M(?) especially. He was acting like I normally do. Instead of going to sign everyone's shirt and get his signed he was just being quiet and sad and not thinking about it. Until camp was over anyways. Then he started crying and crying and crying. I miss him so much. He almost made me cry. Him, his sister and his friend and one other kid ended up at our porch with me trying to cheer him up. Time passed quickly and it was almost time to go.
At the airport five kids came to say goodbye, also all of the people there thanked us and shook our hands.
15 minute flight. Waskaganish. 25 minute wait. 30 minute flight. Nemska. 10 minute wait. 30 minute flight. Chibougamau. Go through customs. 125 minute flight. Montreal.
Say goodbye to MF and AF.
2 or 3 hour bus to Ottawa. Modern Family the whole way. lol.
So tired. Well, not really. I stayed up a long time talking to my mom and showing her some pictures.
Overall, really awesome time in NQ. Great time learning about children and seeing them as God's creation. So much potential and promise if these kids are led down the right path. Even just being there showing them that they are loved is better then nothing. There are ways I think the camp could have been improved, but based on the circumstances, the year went really well, I got to meet and become friends with five awesome people, got to become friends with so many awesome kids, I guess I got an appreciation for children's ministry. I also got to see how God is using people all over the world and raising them up to be men of God and bring God's word to the lost and bring them life before this life is gone. I'm thinking about next year, but I don't know what will happen.
Today was awesome. Just enough time to get to the wedding and practice once before the awesome sevice and reception. I'm so blessed to have been able to be there for AL and ML! If it was rainy yesterday, I wouldn't be here now.
So good.
I played some video games with my brother. Relaxing day.
Wrote a long note for mt bosses.
Anyways, today was awesome.

[Aout 11] - One day remaining.
It started to hit me today; we leave on Friday. That’s tomorrow. One day from now. It’s almost over. For real this time. >.>
M(?) learned how to push himself on the swings today!!!!!! He was so happy. Everytime any of us passed by him on the swing, he made sure to tell us about it. His friend L(?) is really cute and has the best laugh. He also really enjoys my Super Mario voice. Lol. I pushed him a lot today.
In the afternoon we played handball, but the teams were really poorly weighted and so me and MF were put on the team that, by chance, had all the girls (WCF made the teams). The other team had 4 older boys as well as a bunch of other people. We had two younger boys who decided to stay near the other net while the two of us and one older girl had to get the ball up to them. It was an even game for a while, but then the other team was winning by a lot, we nearly made a comeback, then they continued creaming us. >.>
Afterward we played this game. Well, it wasn’t really a game. Me and WCF were tied to the basketball pole. The kids were divided into teams. After picking up 10 pieces of garbage the kids would have a turn to wrap us in streamers. 10 more pieces and they get to chuck a water balloon at either me or him. For the longest time only my feet were wet. Even the three that they threw directly at me bounced off and then broke. Lol. Then AF told them to aim above our heads at the basketball hoops. We got showered. Lol. Did I mention I was voluntold? xP
Then we went swimming. It was pretty cold and the tide was way in meaning that it was pretty deep. Also, today there were waves! Interesting for a while, but too cold overall.
I started packing and we cleaned the house a bit. We had a team dinner tonight. We got poutine from the restaurant and cooked some chicken. We talked about best moments, things we will / won’t miss, things we’ve learned, etc. It was good.
Finally, tonight at 8pm Cree time, meaning 9:45, there was a concert in the arena. It was pretty good. I don’t understand Cree, so I left early, but it was good for a while. All the kids were there running around consuming sugar and getting us sticky.
No internet today. Not even for MF or WCF.

[Aout 10] - Hours trapped on my porch.
So. M(?) Told us the other day that it would rain on Wednesday. He is the Best Weatherman. He never lies.
I woke up early. Not that there was a change in breakfast routine. Peanut butter toast and Nutri-grains.
This morning was cloudy. We went from one activity to another as kids got upset at the previous ones until the rain finally came and we ended a half hour early.
Hamburgers for lunch. No internet. Anime. Pokemon. I’m so close, but also so far from winning. Polly, my Pikachu, needs to get stronger. >.> I still haven’t seen a Psyduck.
It continued raining all through lunch and into the afternoon. We went to tell the children that camp was cancelled, having already warned the morning crowd when we sent them home. There were a few children at the playground when we got there. They didn’t seem to care about the rain too much. By the way, there is construction in the tent, so we couldn’t go there either.
So, most of the kids went home. Two did not.
They decided they would go with me. I kept telling them they could not come into our house (it’s a rule), but they really wouldn’t listen. We played some games in a corner of the tent as they built a stage and put up lights. Then we had to leave. So, we just loitered on the porch of my house, which has a roof. I gave them oranges and we talked. I showed them some pictures and told some stories. This lasted until 6, not 4. So, a little bit overtime. It was fun though. Only two days left, I’d like to spend some time with the children before I leave. Plus BG is one of my favourites. =P
Leftover spaghetti for dinner.
No movies. The cables had to be returned because he was going on another trip before we left and isn’t getting back until afterwards.
M(?) says no rain on Friday. I’m praying.

[Aout 9] – His name is Sergei. >.>
So. I've continued to wake up later and later. I've had Nutri-grain bars for breakfast.
Ya, the day before yesterday me and MF went and stayed up watching the stars. It wasn't as good as the night before because there were a couple clouds at the side and this weird, boring 'Northern light' that just kinda had bland waves of light over the sky, but it was good.
Yesterday and today and maybe a couple more days there is this big meeting for all the chiefs in the arena. We are still stuck outside for this week and we've been having a few new faces at camp.
Mornings remain the same boring do-whatever-you-want-in-the-playground-for-three-hours as kids stagger in. Afternoons have been an hour of whatever at the playground and then let's go swimming or make beaded bracelets. It is still impossible to get the kids out of the water.
Temptation can come in any form, but it remains the same sin.
Only three days left.
Today we finally got some information about getting home. Plane: 3:20pm Friday 12th departure. Coach bus to Ottawa, 417 buslines. 7 or 8pm departure. Bus driver's name: Sergei. Drop off at Super dome. Did I need to know the bus driver's name? xP
I'm tired of washing dishes...
I'm starting to feel the anxiety related with ending something. I'm gonna miss these kids a lot.

Biggest NOOB!
So. Today was the last day of the last weekend up here in Northern Quebec. Time is almost us. Only 5 days. 9 camps. 27 hours of camp.
Last night. So awesome. I stayed up trying to talk to my East Asian friends. Didn't really work. The day changed so as I was waiting I also played my hour of pokemon. The problem is that everyone has to go for lunch at midnight. lol. So, not too much talking.
So everyone left me around 2:30, so I went to bed. Or, I was about to when I thought that I should see if the sky was awesome like it was a few weeks ago. It was soooooo amazing. The most amazing sight I have ever seen. SO many stars that you couldn't even attempt to count all of them in a single spot in the sky. It was kinda cold and I was wearing my pajama shorts instead of my pajama pants, so I didn't stay out too long and I didn't go as far from the town as I did last time because I didn't bring a flashlight with me either. Either way it was amazing. I prayed for my team, my EA family, my family and the things I am praying about everyday. Then I went to bed. I hope tonight is awesome too and a bit warmer. xP
Anyways, I slept in until around 11. I rolled around in bed for almost an hour. Then I got up, made oatmeal, emails, Ezekiel 9-12, then I went on a super adventure down the one road that I hadn't explored yet.
I found the big blue building that I thought might be the water treatment plant. It was small and empty. >.> It was right beside a 'gas bar garage'. So I found where the gas station is. There was also a bunch of electrical power thingees. I kept going down the road. It didn't look like there was much down that road. I kept going. I didn't want to turn back without having found something.
Finally the road forked. I took a right and found some construction stuff. Pipes and concrete trucks and junk. There was a big pile of rocks, so I climbed them. It was silent here. So great. Then I saw some raspberries. Tasty. I also saw another large pile of dirt and stones, let's call it a mountain, so I went to go climb that.
When I got near it I saw them. Bushes and bushes of raspberries. I was thinking. What do I do..? Do I go back and bring reenforcements to help? Do I do it myself? Idon't have anything to carry them back in... Or do I? I used my second shirt. I must have been picking berries for hours. lol. It was a lot of fun though. Three whole bowls of berries. That's at least 6 possibly 10 containers of berries from a grocery store. Ottawa retail value 18-30$. Eastmain retail value assuming the same mark-up as peppers (0.71$ to 3.01$ more then 4x increase) between 76 and 127$. -for free-
I carried it all back and considering that the sun really doesn't move very much in the sky during the day and since I didn't have a watch I had no idea what time it was. It kinda felt like a long time had passed. It definitely wasn't 7 yet though, so I was pretty sure I was safe. I left the house around 1:30. No way I was out for 5 hours. I got back at 4:30.
You see. Tonight was the end of summer camp dinner at the restaurant. We were going to do it on Thursday in the arena, but we got bumped due to a conflict. Smaller venue and sooner then expected, but everything was amazing. We had just the right size of venue. The right number of awards. There was even this awesome cake. xPP We had to bring our TV though because there was no projector, but no problem. It was light.
C(?) and M(?) got hair cuts! They had long flowing hair. Now they have short hair. Like buzzed. >.>
Ah. If it was Thursday this would have been a much sadder day. Seeing the kids for the last time... >.> Still a bit more time.

One Week Left
Today was pretty boring I guess.
It started really slowly, I slept in after watching 'Shutter Island' with the guys who hadn't seen it before. The team seems to think that I don't live very much during the year because I don't get to see many movies. It is true though that I see a lot more during the summer. So far this summer, even with watching 4 or 5 movies a week sometimes, I have only rewatched 3 so far. So, the stats are against me, but I have seen 'Shawshank Redemption', 'Inception', and 'Shutter Island'. In gr. 12 English class (lol), in theatre (summer) and in RM's home theatre (summer).
Anyways, I got internet, so I read my emails. VBS is only a couple weeks away. Today I got a package of information. It seems like I have quite a bit of responsiblity. I'm the main character in the skits. I lead the Bible Story telling time. I'm helping with games. I think I'm doing some other stuff too. Small group co-leader for gr 4-6 kids. I definitely didn't expect all of this. I guess I expected the skit considering I did that last year, and I suppose with only 6 of os instead of 10 or 15 we would need to do more... I guess I'm growing up, but still want to have less responsibilities..? Well, AL was telling the stories last year, and he's kinda not really a pastor, so maybe that's why I think this is so much more terrifying then it is. I hope I can familiarize myself with the stories this week. I read them over today.
Okay, honestly, most of my day was spent working on my bracelet. It's pretty sweet though. A definite upgrade from the old, smelly, worn one with a flaky 'gold bead'. It turned out really well.
I went to the outdoor hockey rink and played guitar and talked to N(?). She played with my cellphone camera. I haven't seen the pictures yet though.
The bonfire never happened tonight, so I don't know. I ended up finishing 2 Kings and read 7 chapters of Chronicles. Very confusing since no one has a last name and the phrasing isn't always clear. And some names just appear with no context. >.> I still don't understand the whole half-tribe of Manassah thing either. And now it's just turning into 2 Samuel again..? I'm confused.
Well, I'm staying up in case any of my friends from East Asia are online since the last two Fridays I wasn't.

PS. Paraphrasing is interesting.
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your
life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me
and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the
unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy
or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll
learn to live freely and lightly." The Message
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." NIV

(a psalm of Dylan (Aout 4))
I’m lying here, with my fear, I’ve already died this death before.
Rainy skies not passing by reflect all the things that I have done.
But the Son has come, the Son has come
And paid the price I couldn’t pay.
Don’t assume you’re out ‘cause love has brought you in.
The life I couldn’t live has been given as a gift
For all eternity.
How I wish that it would stop,
I feel so bad with every successive drop.
How can you continue; to grace, you give give give.
How can you continue to forgive?
How many more days until this flesh stops setting up traps?
How long until the war is done and I can relax?
I forget it’s a war.
I forget this is life or death.
I forget that it’s a choice I get to make.
I forget, yet you too have forgotten
You have blotted it out,
You have given us a helper,
You have poured out mercy and justice,
You have given yourself
How I am indebted to you,
Yet you don’t take interest.
How much I owe you daily,
Yet you’ve wiped my debt away.
Why can’t I love and trust you always?
Why do I return to the old ways even after
You’ve made me new?
Lord, I thank you
I thank you that you hear us,
I thank you that you love us,
I thank you for all you’ve done,
I thank you that you care.
I thank you for your promises
I thank you that I can call you Dad,
I thank you forever with my broken heart
I thank you that you are always there.
Fill me again.
Pour living water to overflow from my heart.
Use me in ways I’ve never imagined.
Make my heart thankful, faithful, make it new.
Take the words I sing and make them true.
Help us to move into the places you have prepared for us
Stepping exactly where you want us to.
[I guess this started as a cheesy song (the first couple lines weren't even real. lol, just cliche imagery) and ended up being mostly a prayer, so let's just call this a psalm. lol. because that's what most of the Psalms are anyways, right? A song, a poem, a prayer, an acrostic. lol]

Aout 5
So, today was okay I guess. Last night was the worst though. I could not sleep. I had a bad headache and the sunburn was really getting to me too. I was really just. Ya. Sleeping with ice packs. On and off. Thunderstorm for a while. >.> So tired when I woke up. I was planning on taking a sick day or something. Yesterday AF had taken the day off for wisdom teeth pains. Apparently we are all at that age. ER also has to have some looked at next week.
This morning was fun I guess. It was mostly cloudy thankfully. S(?) looked a lot like Manny Delgato. A lot. Lol. More skip rope. Some football. M(?) fell off the swing. T.T I feel responsible. I hope his foot really isn’t hurt very much.
Afternoon. Average. But then the clouds started coming and the rain started so we went off to the tent and made some bracelets or necklaces with beads. I decided to be ambitious. I really wanted to make a new 5-bead bracelet for myself, but the beads were all so tacky, cheesy and there weren’t even the right colours, so I gave up that idea. But I saw that there was gold string, so I came up with another plan to do a similar thing. You’ll see, it’ll be sweet.
Tangent: One Ultra Ball left. Articuno asleep and down to the red zone of it’s HP. Click to throw the ball. ‘Cannot use that item. Poke box is full.’ ARRRRRRG!
Untangent: Anyways, good day. I had internet for a few minutes and then I was out again. Lol. This post was typed on my laptop and then USB’d then published via MF’s notebook.
My shoulder muscles are really sore. Lol.

Aout 3 - I am not a lifegurad, yo.
22 heure 18 minutes
Hey! Today was so hot. You know when you are outside all day and the sun is only like 10km from the Earth? Ya? No? I'm exagerating a bit, but I am crispy.
This morning, litteraly was just three hours in the sun. WCF is getting hit hard by some of our team who have noted his dissappearing for hours and coming back with nothing to show for it. I want to hope that he is doing something most of that time, but the evidence is stacked against him. [Today he told me that he usually goes to talk with someone. Honestly it is very hard to find people when you need them here. Everyone is on 'Cree time' which is worse then 'Chinsese time'.]
This afternoon was admitedly a lot of fun for most of the time. We played some water games with water balloons, water bottles and 9 large 5 gallon water jugs. It didn't last three hours though, so we went swimming. Bad experience. K(?) went too far out and I had to get her and she did not want to come back. I am not a lifeguard, yo. I haven't seriously swam in years. Treading water is a full body workout. I couldn't touch the bottom either. I ended up yelling a lot. I'm sorry, but I was getting scared too and K(?) was not helping. She just floated and the current was against us. Anyways, I told her that it's because we care and that we really can't save her if she goes too far, but ya, I'm sorry for yelling.
I was so exhausted when I got home. >.>
We got some food from the girls, I took an extended nap, and we watched a documentary about Steroids. Thanks ER for the banana oat muffins!
D.Fa
PS. WCF reminded me of the Clown-pocalypse from 'The Weekenders' when during the water fight he got serious and yelled 'This is REAL!' lol.

In groups of Two! Mingle!
So, right now I am thinking that my sunburn is acting up again. These last couple days at the beach outside in the sun have reburned me making everything seem really hot. Lol…
Today I made sure to be prepared before going to the playground to sing. I wore pants and had a long-sleeved shirt ready and sprayed the rest of my exposed skin with bug spray. They still (although later) got to my scalp (through the hair) and neck and ankles (darn ankle socks. lol). Today one girl asked about my bracelet. Sweet! I also invited MF to come with me and help, but he seemed a bit distracted having to push them on the swing (you see, I would be doing that, but I have to play. Lol) He was wearing a wife-respecter unfourtunately. Overall, good night. MF wants to do it again “much better than reading manga all night.”
Today, the morning was filled with jump rope. Yesterday I had emptied the garbage can and put in a new bag. Today there was garbage everywhere and a rope. I turned the rope into a jump rope and everyone took turns with me spinning it. Anything can be used to entertain children. In the afternoon we went to the river again. The tide was a bit lower and it was already shallow, so today it was really shallow. The main events were swimming, clay and being buried in sand. I didn’t swim, I just walked out 50 feet with two young girls then they were scared and wanted to turn back (it was only up to my knees).
We are running out of food again. Lol. We being the guys. We eat more apparently and the girls hold it against us. We have a lot of red peppers though. >.>
The dinner banquet has been moved, due to conflict, to this Sunday night instead of next Thursday. It should be interesting.
So little time left, but still so many oppourtunities.

How can I keep from Singing?
[Aout 2]
I am covered in blood right now, I am really really itchy, my fingers hurt and I'm pretty tired.
You see, I went to the playground to play some songs and guitar. It was a nice cool evening. I think it went really well. Six year-old girls don't have a very long attention span, but I got to talk to a few kids about Jesus. It definitely went well, everyone enjoyed listening to and picking songs for me to sing. It was great, after sharing with one girl she chose 'Worthy is the Lamb' and 'In Christ Alone'.
I think I'm getting better at changing chords on the fly. Also, I sight transposed a song the other day. =P
Yesterday or maybe this morning I had this idea, an ipad would revolutionize worship team! No more papers! Just flip to the song and it's there. Also, you can just choose another song mid-service because it's all right there at your fingertips! Then I thought about it again, and it really doesn't change anything. Just more expensive equipment on stage. >.>
Today was pretty typical except that we had only four of us because WCF and KC were sick.
Oh, I forgot to mention the swarms of mosquitoes. >.> Dislike. One was just chilling on my strumming hand for a whole song. Then I found it and I was covered in blood. Well there were another few that got a good long bite, so I'm actually covered in blood. >.> I kept saying I was going to go home, but I kept playing. xP The kids are completely different at night.
We went swimming again and we had some races and some swingning. Typical stuff.
The big tent beside our house is available for us to use in the event of a rainy day! Also today, the people who will be moving into our house when we leave were here to look at it.
Umm... Wage war!

Hello. (My internet is out again) Today was rainy, so we slept in. No, not just because of the weather. This week we don't have access to the arena, so we are outside everyday. That combined with the bad weather is why we didn't go to camp this morning.
At 11 or so I woke up and had some cereal. I watched some anime over the lunch break and then it happened, a swarm of children came to our door demanding that we go to camp. (I guess they do like camp..? =D) They had already bugged the girls and they had said no so they came to us. I really didn't want to stay inside all day anyways and it wasn't really raining anymore, just misting, so me and MF went to the playground with 10 or 15 kids.
They really like playing zombie tag (which I refuse to play now because I was always the first zombie and no one else ever wanted to be a zombie once I caught them >.>).After that I caled them all in, we prayed and then the next 10 games of tag began. lol. So many versions of tag. We hadn't brought any balls with us and everything was wet.
It did start actually raining and it was cold, so we called it off early. We played for an hour which is pretty good.
WCF was sick today. I peeled some oranges and made some chicken noodle soup for him. His stomach wasn't feeling very good. He kinda stole our kitchen garbage can.
Making the chicken noodle soup was fun. I also cleaned the house and hung out with AF for a bit. (I made enough soup for everyone).
It was still cold and misty in the evening, so I didn't go out to play guitar and I didn't want to disturb WCF who was resting in the other room so I just read instead of playing. But then I heard some asian-style music. I dropped everything to go see what MF was watching. 'Ip Man 2'. Really awesome movie about Bruce Lee's master. Everyone was speaking Mandarin in Hong Kong though... OMG! The white guy spoke Chinese!!!
