Scariest Bus Ride Ever.

So, I was going to post earlier from my phone something along the lines of the following:

Subject:

I just had the scariest bus ride ever. For the past 30 minutes I'd been freaking myself out thinking I had lost my cell phone on a bus on the way to church... I thought I had checked my cell phone right before getting on the 86 but didn't have it when I got to church... I was thinking what I would have to do to get it back. I'd have to go all the way downtown to some random lost and found building where they would be holding my phone captive. I would then have to prove that it is mine by telling them the exact seat and route number and time that I was on the bus containing my phone and I'd have to recite contacts and / or by describe how the photos are all slanted or the fact that there is a micro SD with 2GB of memory. Then I thought... dang.. my photos... my SD card.... my contact list!!! RH! I just got his number yesterday and I hadn't talked to him in half a year....... and all the other people's numbers I'd have to creep again... And all the people I can talk to at anytime because of it... and all the sharing I can do with it... I can't believe I rely sooooo much on my phone.

I then realized I had left a glove on the 95 going to fallowfield... whatever I'll get it when I get my phone.............

When I got home I looked in all the usual places. It was on my bed under the shirt I wore last night... >.> annoying. but so lucky. xP I realize I hadn't actually had my phone earlier that morning I just knew what time I left the house and added a few minutes to determine about what time it was.

Ya. That's about all I would have texted... actually about twice as much because of the lame 1000 character limit. xP In any case I have my phone now.

Ya. I had church, then work at 2. I don't know why exactly but Pastor DB gave me his Japanese New King James New Testament. So cool! And now I have 5 bibles (meaning 5 books which are either bibles or new testaments, not including the 2 real life kit ones) in my bag! And actually, I have 4 translations (meaning ESV, NIV, NKJ and whatever the Gideon's one is ... not languages) of the new testament in my bag! xP This makes me happy. I was reading (more like attempting to) a bit of it and Jesus Christ = イエス キリスト = iesu kirisuto. A bunch of other names that are clearly not Japanese are also slightly different.

So, ya. I'm gonna attempt to do some homework now. xP I have work tommorow morning... >.>

EA Project

Hey.

In C4C in the summer or reading week you can go on 'Projects'. These are short term missions trips all over the world.

I am interested in going this summer. I know that I should stay at home and work so that I can afford rent during the year. I know support raising is going to be scary and sometimes look hopeless. I know that I will be flying to the other side of the world if I go. I also know that God has called us to go and that there are billions of people in east Asia who aren't saved. I really want to go to Asia and I really hope that going on project will be an amazing time of growth and stretching my faith. I mean being in a place where you can't just hide in a little Christian bubble. A place where the need for the gospel is even greater. A place where there is a need to rely on God for everything.

I want to go to that place that I may learn how truly blessed I am as well as to teach others about the free gift they have the opportunity to receive.

Swingin' Into the Night

So, ya.

Since I last posted we have had dinner, walked back, had main session, prayed, then swing danced.

The main session's focus tonight was on Quebec and how only 0.8% or so of the 10.2 million people are evangelical Christians. A very small percentage of people. Through varying things said by the speaker or other people there was this urge placed on having a heart for Quebec, moving to Quebec, praying for Quebec, etc. The main message had a lot to do with just making the little time we have left make a difference. There were many stats about how we could reach the whole world within the next 10 years and other things like that.

I just kinda started getting really sad thinking about how my faith was so small. This was most clear when she started speaking of how our job isn't going to be easy, but you know, the lord will give us everything we need. I know these things are true and I have said / prayed a number of times a number of things, but had I really meant them..? Was I really ready to step out and do hard work. I felt like such a coward and a hypocrite and a very faithless person thinking that I would rather just curl up in my safe little bubble instead of taking everything we have learned and making a difference.

I think that I prayed as sincerely as I ever have that God would stengthen my trust in Him in the coming semester and summer as I make larger steps of faith and break more faith barriers. Sure, it would be easy to just stay where we are in our safety, but that's such a waste. It's boring, not making progress, not doing as God has commanded us. I pray that I would be able to surrender in all situations and just rely on His hope and love and goodness to provide for me. Fear and insecurity should not exist if I am truly relying on the Lord.

So, ya. I prayed with HO, RM, R(?) and J(?).

Then I went swing dancing. xP So fun dancing. I havn't danced since the Musical. NJ was my partner then, but today I had like 20 partners (they made us switch everytime we learned something new, which was slightly annoying, but we got to meet so many new people...) It was a lot of fun. xP

On an unrelated note, have you ever been reminded of someone based more on the shape of the person than their actual personality..? xP I have been seeing people all week that look the same (mostly) as some people I know. These people include RM(high school friend), JB, JC(parcour/tiger suit), Dr. JS and HK(male). xP

Ya.

I've been coming up with new years resolutions. So far I have:
-I will tell people when I borrow things from them
-I will answer people when they ask me questions
-I will read the old testament

There are other things that I have now forgotten, but will remember at some point.

This week has been so great. There have been so many cool things I have learned. One of which is that 'distractions' such as facebook and cellphones can be used as a tool in spreading the gospel to our friends. Until the day of outreach I hadn't really attempted to start spiritual conversations with my friends. I may have been witnessing with my life and actions, maybe, but I hadn't really said much. I deffinately told like 15 people I was at this conference on Wednesday.

My room smells like bananas.... Ewwwwwwwww..... And they are ripe......

Sharing.

So, ya.

I was walking from CHEM to PHYS and I don't know why, but I felt like I should go sharing. Clearly I would have to go by myself. Soooo scary...

Literally I walked from southam to the food court to loeb cafe to the food court then finally I was like "ok. Just do it. You saw that guy in the terminal. Do it." So I went up to him, introduced myself and he had a paper he had to write. So I was like "just do it. You saw JC (not the same one) in the food court. Go do it." so I went back to the food court. JC was watching anime. XP.... I talked with him a bit about anime and then I was waiting until the episode of Bakuman was done before talking to him, but it turns out that he had a bio lab that was due on friday to get done, so I left him to it.

I don't know why, but it actually feels easier to approach strangers than people I already know...

Maybe I am scared of changing the image I have in people's minds. That shouldn't matter. Pleasing people or pleasing God. Clear answer.

Champignons..?

So. Today was kinda boring...

One Piece was boring.

Worship was kinda boring... I can't really compete with Pastor DB or JB's vocals... so I was mostly just playing bass.

The camping trip is this week. I still have to pick songs for worship on the trip and buy Saturday's lunch by Wednesday night. So far I have chosen 4 songs. I think... Amazing Love, Mighty to Save, Son of God and Take Me In. I like these songs and I'm sure AL knows them. The thing is funny because I have to choose songs, but AL will be playing guitar, so I have to make sure she knows them... but in reality I have to choose songs that most people will know because there will be no projector with lyrics, so ya... she'll probably know all the songs we'll be singing.

The new york missions trip is in like two weeks... I have to start memorizing lines for the skits and apparently I have to choose activities and learn how to be a group leader too. I really just wanted to teach math... xP

So. ya... I had to go to work today...

I'm pretty sure my ankle/foot is fine now. I think it's just the bruise which is why it still hurts a bit sometimes.

Have I told you that CW's driving can get quite scary..? Hehe... How does driving at 80 km/h while digging into shwarma with both hands sound..? Half an eye on the road, mouth full of shwarma, both hands holding the rest of the shwarma. This was slightly extreme, but it did happen. In his boss' truck no less, but ya... I've only seen this happen once, and it was a pretty straight road, and there was no one else around to crash into, and it wasn't for that long, but ya... it's still kinda scary... xP

Here is a song I've heard like 3 times in the last 2 days. Lead Me by Sanctus Real.

A Nightmare

So... When was the last time you had a nightmare..?

If you asked me that yesterday I'd have to say something along the lines of "*shrug* idk..?"

In other words, I had a very vivid scary frightening nightmare last night... or actually, this morning, after I had already woke up... But then I went to sleep again... I woke up because, in my dream, my dad was like screeching at me... I should probably explain a little. I don't remember too much of the beggining, but the ending was very vivid...

My teeth felt loose. I tend to have this fear of my teeth falling out apparently... so ya, a little later, like my whole top jaw's teeth were pulled out because I touched them again... like they fell out as one piece and then separated into teeth. There was no blood or anything, but it was so scary. I was like feeling my teeth to see if they were actually gone. Like I could actually feel that they weren't there... I don't think I've ever actually felt something while dreaming........... Then I was freaking out, like, omg I need to talk to a dentist and an orthodontist or something and get new teeth because this is so scary.... Then like my dad walked in and like I couldn't talk. and then I couldn't understand what he was saying. Then I fell to the floor... like omg.... this is worse then death.....

pop. I'm awake. *reaches for teeth* Oh, thank god that was a dream......... wait what time is it..... clock reads "7:05", ie actually 6:55. I have to be at work for 7...

To top it off, I couldn't really breathe... like only shallow breaths. There's this like pain in my chaest when I breathe deeply... pneumonia...? I thought my apendix was exploding for like half an hour... but told myself to stop thinking about it. IT IS NOT MY APENDIX! I told myself. I feel that if I think I have anything I'll actually get it... so I always tell myself its actually nothing, deal with it, and then just move on, in pain / sickness.

So, ya... apparently I threw out my knife yesterday, by accident. So I needed another one. I was asking if there was an extra around and my boss walks in. He said there weren't any extra right now, so he lent me his............... I think I threw it out... >.< I havn't told him yet...... >.<

Tennis, PvZ, anime, bible study....

Sleep plz.
