Our God is GREATER!

Yo! So today was awesome. lol.

Started with JW introducing a first year named DG. She was from Ottawa! =D A couple of the others arrived, PS, and T(?). We went upstairs and eventually RS joined us. JW is pretty good at playing guitar. lol... Worship time was awesome. So much harmony in this little meeting room. xP Then we prayed for the day and week and everything. We then got to properly introduce ourselves, bit of background in P2C as well as testimonies. DG had to leave. Parents in town for the day.

Back to the surveys. lol. Yesterday we had done a bunch and there was so much response, like nearly half of the surveys were interested students. xP So today we focused a lot more on having conversations rather than just surveys. Lines were shorter, frosh were getting ready for a crazy Olympic events day.

I ended up having a bunch of longer conversations.

One was with the quidditch team. lollll They were really interested in Science, but most had a church background and one guy even worked in a church's admin. So we had an interesting conversation about manuscripts and evolution and got free leftover food from the frosh' lunch. haha

Earlier I had approached 4 guys with surveys. Two took them right away and asked more questions about the Does God Exist event, while one guy didn't want to do it, and the girl was distracted on her phone most of the time. The two guys had read most of the Bible. The one said it was great. He had read the KJV and said it was very well written, as far as novels go. haha. But wasn't so keen on it. The other guy actually came from a muslim family and didn't like how religion is forced on people and they just follow it. He had been exploring trying to find out the truth and believes that the unity of all of creation is a great support for the existence of God. Without one ruler everything is chaos. He thinks that all people are born innocent, but that when they come into positions of power they abuse that power and that is where all the evil and corruption in the world comes from. His survey wasn't so interested, but he personally was very interested after our talk, so I'll be emailing him.

Later I got to talk with a few Chinese students. They didn't believe in God. I got to share a bit about how I think it is amazing how Chinese characters actually describe Biblical stories. I only knew a couple characters by heart, so it was just a tease. lol. I may email them to meet up and talk more.

AO joined us in the afternoon to do some surveying after his classes.
RS met a first year girl who wanted to get involved and they just went at it. Immediately doing surveys. lol.

Today was a bit slower, but still amazing. haha. Tomorrow we'll be downtown Toronto doing promo for the Reach conference since the frosh will all be downtown doing stuff anyways, so we can't really do much on campus. Plans are to enter some data too and start follow-up calls. Looking forward to a change as well as seeing some of my friends from UofT SG campus and Ryerson. xP
