Yo. Today was a Saturday. So, that means no time on campus. I don't like having time off. haha
Coming up on Monday is the start of clubs' week, so we'll be having a booth and doing more surveys. Hopefully we can make some classroom announcements and survey larger groups that way.
But ya, today I accidentally slept in until 9:30. Woke up and grandma told me "吃了". Breakfast time. Go eat. Or something like that. So caring. lolllll. So I ate quickly and had a shower before going to small group with RZ. He also had a meeting, so it ended up being just me and two others. We were looking through Philippians 1.
We talked a bunch about suffering, like the last verse pretty much promises us suffering. haha. But in all of this it is for God's glory. As long as the gospel is preached, people can be saved. In Paul's suffering is encouragement for others to preach boldly, and by his suffering the gospel is advanced. One thing we looked at was the phase "to live is Christ and to die is gain". The second part is easy enough to understand; if he dies both no more suffering and the rest of eternity with God. The first part is a deeper issue.
A(?) mentioned how usually we hear 'live in Christ', but not 'to live is Christ'. Yesterday Pastor S(?) gave a blurb after games that we are like Christ in this world (1 John 4) that as His children we should look like him. More than that, to act like Him and grow in Him. Our whole lives, reflecting Christ's life. We die as Christ when we put our old lives behind us. We now live as Christ through His resurrection into the new man. But we are also called to suffer as Christ, and reflect His character more and more as the Spirit works in us to this end.
So that was really cool times.
Got home, had lunch (home made dumplings!!!!!! =D) and then beat the next puzzle. lolllll. After I did a bit of work. Played ping pong in the ping pong basement (which I think is a little stereotypical). Dinner. Bible study with grandma. =) (Grandma isn't Christian yet, so please pray for her as well as RZ and his mom's witness to her). Played guitar a bit.
Uhh, ya. Got to talk with a friend and now I'm exhausted. lol
Ttyl.
