Overworked..?

"AL, if you didn't know, I don't have a girlfriend. However, I do have a blog. Also, I made my lunch today."

So, ya.

Today, I thought it was a day 2, ie Bio first period. Nope, it was a day 1. Spare! yay! or not. I developed my film for my Physics project. Developing film is the slowest part of the photographic process... like 30 minutes of shaking a container full of liquid and then rinsing it, then letting it dry overnight... *zzzzzzz*

So, ya. Only a couple days until that's done. But, guess what?!? The Bio essay was pushed back until Monday. ie, I can sleep tonight! Also, I don't have work next Sunday, so I can actually do it! Wow!

This Thursday / Friday is One Acts and it's actually really sudden, I mean, I auditioned, like, 25 days ago or something, and the performance is in like 3..? Tight schedule, eh? No time for cast bonding... T.T

iPod Repair is quite funny. Once it is all together and has all main characters performing it, I think it will be far better. I did however notice that the old ladies were rather flexible, speedy and limber. I mean, after being slammed to the floor she quickly jumped to her feet and threw the other one down. (minimal exageration used)

C(?) is a better slave girl then NW. Especially because she has her lines memorized and has actually rehearsed with us. I thought NW wasn't going to perform with us anymore..? I mean she can't make one of the shows... 1 of 2... 50%. but I guess that's a pass...

Anyway. I made lunch today.

I don't think I ever had before. lol.

I also discovered that I can update my blog from my cellphone. I wonder if it will work / if I will use that feature... hmmm.

Ya.

This Better Be Quick

"Hey, Al, I don't have much time to explain this, but I don't have a girlfriend today."

So, ya.

This is a quick post, mostly to procrastinate, but I'm trying not to... *rolls eyes*

Today. Church, then work.

In sunday we looked at Dueteronomy I think. Love God with all your mind soul and strength. Pastor DB also brought up the same verse during the sermon when he was talking about passing the torch from parents to their kids. He kinda embarassed RL (like usual) by saying that he doesn't make his own lunches, his dad does. I'm actually in the same situation, so I was thinking all day at work about how whenI wuld wake up at 5:30 for band, now that I don't have band I could use that time to make breakfast / lunch instead of sleeping in. It may or may not happen. If it does happen it will be PB and J on pumpernickel. xP

So, ya. Then I was thinking that it appears that I want to grow up, but idk...

Anyways, bye!

D.Fa

My Chauffeurs..?

"Hey AL! Today was fun, but I still don't have a girlfriend, although I was talking with V(?) more then usual. I think she will become a girl friend, ie friend that is a girl. Also, physics is stupid."

So, I feel that yesterday's post was "too structured" ..? I feel it is less like how I normally speak but at the same time, it did get the job done...

Today's topics:
1. Summatives
2. Worship Practice
3. Softball Tournament
4. Exam
5. Parental Chauffeurs

So, it's that time of the year again. No, not winter! Summative time...

Each class has a different summative. Bio has an essay about an inheirited metabolic disorder involving protein synthesis. Physics has this stupid project / presentation / lab report / research project thing... Calc / Vectors just has a nice summative test.

So, ya. I've been procrastinating far too much and need to get these things done.

I didn't study for my calc summative on wednesday, but I feel I did pretty well at piecing together my memories of the course matter in the alloted time (75 minutes.)

I havn't started my bio essay. It's due Tuesday, so I've got to, basically, finish it tommorow... (I have work tommorow(2-10) and Monday(4-11)...) So. ya.

Physics is stupid. My project is odd. and i forgot to check if there was actually film in it the last time so I'm behind schedule... I'll have to spend spares, lunches and any possible after school times in the darkroom... The presentation is due Friday...

So. ya. anyways. Today was also my Japanese Exam..! I crammed this morning. I actually got a few good things crammed in and I feel I did pretty well. It was really easy. Our teacher gave us word banks... lol. Ya. A bunch of people were going to go to Banc Sushi afterwards. It turned out to be four people. They had reservations for ten. lol.

Today was also the great glebe garage sale or something. So that whole area around the school was overflowing with a viscous flow of automobiles and people. It reminded me of Animal Crossing. It's kinda something they would do. Everyone selling any random object they had and the rest buying them.

Immediately after my exam I had to go to worship practice. I had tried getting out of it so I could go to Banc Sushi, but I couldn't get a replacement or anything, so, I went. It was a semi-accoustic practice and it started a bit late, but it was good. Grace Like Rain is a really cool song the way we are playing it.

I then had to go to a Softball game for 3pm. The tournament had started at 11am. My team had games at 11, 3 and possibly 5. I had an exam, so I missed the 11-o-clock game. We lost like 12-4 or something..? I don't remember. At 3 we played. It wasn't a great game. Our weaknesses are kinda obvious and our players aren't the most enthused group of people, but we can have really good games sometimes. We lost by quite a bit.

The game at 5 was between the top 2 of the 3 teams. In other words, the other two teams. Our team just needs a bit of practice to fix our weaknesses. We'll be getting a new player for our next game. His friend is on our team.

So, ya. For a while now, probably since grade 7 or 8, I've been using my parents as chauffeurs. They drive me around and ya... I need to be driven around a lot these days... I kinda feel bad about it. It's one reason I walk to school now. I think this summer I should get my G1(driver's license level 1.) That way I can at least drive half of the time...

Ok. I've covered all the required topics. Oh, right. lol.

Today, I also played tennis with my brother (7-5 for him...) I was kinda tired from softball, so I didn't really care that much. xP

That's not the funny thing though. On the way to the park we saw this couch. It was perfectly fine, but it had a "FREE" sign taped and pinned to it. It was also only two houses down from ours, so we decided that on the way back we'd take it.

It was actually a reclining couch! It's comfy. The problem, it was wider then the door of my house. The solution, it has three individual seats which are just attached by a bar and some screws, so we unscrewed it and then took it in in parts.

My parents reactions are always funny to this type of thing. xP When I was a kid me and my brother would plan these schemes. Like once we schemed to remove the existing bed from my room and bring up the bunk beds from my brother's room. This was all done in secret, until we were found out. Schemes would often involve doing things secretly and then surprising my parents with the sudden change. Like it's too late now. You can't undo it now.

This was probably the easiest scheme. I mean, we were older, we took it apart, it was a hilarious situation (PIVOT!!!) and we were caught early on (the front door) and we were given helpful advice..? It also only took like 45 minutes.

So, ya.

Fennel Salad

"AL, today I don't have a girlfriend, but I learned how to make a fennel salad, so maybe I can use it as bait or something..? Unless I eat it. I already ate it... Time for Plan B."

So, ya. There are a number of things I'd like to talk about today:
1. Fennel Salad
2. Cooking
3. "We're sold out..."
It is very possible I may end up talking about something else, but I want to at least get these three.

So, today I was at work (I just lost the game... As I am typing this. (Not at work...)) and all I could think about once I got there and saw the one, last box of strawberries was that I'd be saying "We're sold out" all night long... So the official count for today's shift is... 12. My shift started at 4 and I left at about 10:10. Each time I said it I recorded the time and object sold out. The following is the collected data.

4:07 - strawberries
4:42 - strawberries
5:12 - strawberries/raspberries/blueberries
5:46 - strawberries
5:48 - strawberries
6:12 - strawberries
6:25 - strawberries
7:03 - hot dog buns..?
7:35 - strawberries
7:42 - blueberries/raspberries
9:55 - raspberries
10:07 - asparagus

I was going to do data analysis, but its 12:14am...

The hot dog buns was odd.

Anyways. ya. data analysis later, maybe.

So, I was at work. Some lady comes over and asks me to cut off the fennel stalks from the bulb. This is a common idea. It fits into bags better without the stalk, same thing with carrots. So, ya... I took a bite of the fennel stalk because I'd never had fennel. It was like celery, but licorice flavour. I swore I'd buy some later.

So, I was cleaning up at like 9:30 and realized I didn't want a plain fennel salad and didn't know what to do. I texted JS and my brother about this problem. JS thought I was drunk. My brother reponded "-_-". lol. nice replies eh..? but I realized that I only ask crazy questions to people like them. xP.

Anyways, one of the main reasons why I was going to buy it was that I hadn't payed to bite that stalk earlier, but also that fennel is often used in cooking shows and I've never had it (probably because my family doesn't like licorice...) So, I was thinking of what else I should buy to go with the fennel, but I don't know anything about cooking... xP. So, I bought two bulbs of fennel, a lime, and a bit of ginger root. I got the lime and ginger because they are cliched ingredients, hehe.

So, ya. When I got home I googled "fennel lime ginger salad" to get nothing useful.
I then googled "fennel salad." This resulted in many orange viniagrette fennel salads and many apple fennel salads.

In the end, I made an apple fennel salad with ginger lime dressing. (Will post picture later)

Ingredients:
2 fennel bulbs, core and stalks removed, sliced thinly
some fennel leaves mixed in and as garnish
1 crispin apple (only type in my house at the time) cored and thinly sliced
some ginger finely chopped
juice of 1 lime
lime zest both mixed and as garnish
splash of olive oil
fresh cracked pepper
sea salt
some honey

I think the proportions may have been a bit off, but it was tasty. xP. It was also very fun and random.

So, ya. I really like cooking, but I don't know how to. If I had taken cooking in grade 9 and / or food sciences in grade 12, I may have seriously considered going to a cooking school. I feel like it would be so awesome, but at the same time I don't think it would be a job, more like a hobby.

Everytime I'm at work I think of when I'm older and shop for myself. I'm looking forward to like planning out meals and shopping for all of the ingredients and later cooking them at home into a tasty meal. Like, I kinda want to move out next year, even for just a month or something, maybe move in with CW or JS for a couple weeks...?

Unlimited Exposures

So, ya. (last time I start this way..?)

"AL. As you know, yesterday I didn't have a girlfriend. Today is a different story. I don't have any pictures or a girlfriend, but the way I was talking it sounded like I had a crush on C(?)*."

So, "And, yes. We are sold out of lemons." refers to work Sunday night. From this point on I will be counting how many times I say "We are sold out" and what we are sold out of because when I work a seven-hour evening shift we are often sold out of like 5-10 different things, often 2-3 are in the flyer. I say it at least like 6-12 times per shift..?

We are never sold out of lemons, so it was rare to say it, but everyone wants lemons, so I said it a lot... A Lot....

Ya, today. Day 1. Period 1 spare. I was going to develop the pictures from Tuesday after school when I skipped Dixie to get my physics project done. I went to the grade 11 photography class and got all the stuff to start developing the film. I then proceeded to take the film out of the camera. This was the part I always forgot. I could never remember how to get the film back into the canister, so when it wasn't working I asked the teacher how to do it. She starts like getting nervous like the film wasn't on the reel properly. I put the camera in the bag then open it.

There was no film.

I'm running out of time to develop film... I have to get these pictures tommorow... Then I have to get it developed Monday. Tuesday - Thursday I have to get the positives. Thursday night I have to write my conclusion / Analysis. Or else. Presentation is Friday.

So during my spare I watched Fairy Tail and Bleach. Yuss. Anime during spare = stress relief. I should have been studying or researching for bio test or essay, but whatever... It's due next week. I'm fine xP. Also, a week ago I learned of this website that gives you formated Bibliography entries if you tell it what work you cited. So, that's a good half-hour of work I don't have to do anymore. xP. bibme.org I think.

Lunch. Last Music Council meeting this year. Fun stuff, kinda, not really, but we ate the leftovers from the bbq, so, xP.

Calculus was oddly fun / confusing. We had Mr. KD as a sub. He's a gym teacher, so ya... it was also a ridiculous lesson about 3D planes and scalar equations and stuff. That was the confusing part. The note was progressing slowly, so SZ told me to get a Sudoku book. I got a sudoku book that also contained other japanese puzzles. Theres a puzzle called bridges where there are a bunch of "islands" with numbers in them that say how many bridges can be attached to them. bridges may not overlap, and all islands must be connected. Go! Me and SZ solved like 3 or 4. http://www.puzzle-bridges.com/ lol. fun.

Physics was slightly interesting. I mean no marks on the line, it was kinda interesting theoretically, but very boring what we were doing... looking a graphs and doing simple math calculations... What the heck is a pion..? And what does it have to do with me??? So ya...

One Acts rehearsals outside... not a bad day.

Kinda sneak-peeked some of the art show. It looks good.

I had supper then played tennis with my brother. I actually won for once. It was kinda fun. My first serves were "kinda moderately okay." I won 6-3 6-5. I was up 6-3 4-0 I think, but I usually lose, so whatever. My brother hasn't played in a while. As the match went on he got better. He usually does and it's kinda annoying. I kinda always at a consisten mediocre so I don't care. The few things I do care about in tennis are always hitting it before the double bounce, always going for it, always getting the balls that have gone off the court and getting it over the net. If it's a terrible lob from behind the baseline I don't care, as long as it goes in. I don't get many winners, but it depends on the level of play. When my brother is playing badly I do a lot less good shots, but when he starts cranking it I have to try harder and so many more good flukes happen. Whatever. If it's fun, play it.

Ya. I'm procrastinating. I also kinda have to study for a Japanese exam on Saturday... whatever, it will work out.

D.Fa

P.S. They actually had 400 pieces of bread, ie more bread points then the 2nd place teams total.... 2nd place had like 96 points...

P.P.S. My brother walked in and saw my old post, and was like "I thought you liked the other lollipop..?" "Your not making your followers vote on which one is better are you?!?" Great Idea!

Vote in comments. xP Plz and Ty.

Very Shallow

So, Ya.

This blog will update you on the few days I had no computer in a sudden and very strange way:

Sunday: "AL, I don't have a girlfriend, but I can sing and have a job, so I should be able to get one. And, yes. We are sold out of lemons."

Monday: "AL, I still don't have a girlfriend... Maybe if I play more tennis and patch up my relationship with my family..? Or I could just sleep in."

Tuesday: "AL, I don't have a girlfriend. Maybe if I didn't work so much or procrastinated so much I could do something about it..?"

Wednesday: "AL. Sorry if you don't like spam, but you told me to do it! I don't have a girlfriend yet! I probably should have told my parents where I was today / knew what was happening today... Also. My pants are in your car."

So. ya.

Quick, shallow, random update. Including today..?

I just can't be that quick with blog updates. I like rambling... xP It's what I do...

So. Ya. There is a reason for that intro for today's blog. It both vaguely updated you, which kinda annoys me, but I don't have time to go into much more detail... Or at least, I don't want to take over an hour to write blog posts anymore..? Also, the main reason originates from Sunday School.

So, Sunday School. Sunday Mornings. But this week there was a retreat and a number of people (about 50% or so) from our church were there instead. Also, it was a long week end, so other people were away too... So anyway, there were only seven people there. Five highschoolers, one university student and the pastor's wife.

So, at the end we always pray in groups or whatever, so AL, RL and me were in a group. Usually we quickly talk about things in our life before we pray, like so that we know what to pray for, and RL was all like "What's that D.Fa, you have a girlfriend?" or something, and AL turns quickly with a giant smile on her face, "Why didn't you tell me?!?!?" So, I say "Hey RL, You have a girlfriend?!?" She turns the other way quickly. Of course we were both joking.

Then I'm like "Hey Al, why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?!?" and she's like "You know why." I was like "Oh... right.... hehe(awkwardly)..." She kinda told me a secret and I kinda told the guy it was about and she couldn't trust me, because she said not to tell him... So, as like a test or something, she didn't tell me for like month(s?) about her boyfriend. Like, the secret wasn't that terrible, but like... she taught me a lesson... I guess. I don't think I really wanted to know about her boyfriend anyway... xP... I mean... ya. nvm.

So, the point was, after the awkward laugh, she was all like, "You should give me daily updates!" Rl, was like "You mean 'AL, I still don't have a girlfriend'?"

And it was all like what if we message you on facebook? Won't that be bad if your boyfriend sees it? Won't it be creepy if anyone sees that, a whole page of "I don't have a girlfriend" ??

So, ya. I forgot on Sunday because I had work and my computer got taken back to futureshop. They have to like empty the computer of anything so that they can be sure the virus is gone. We only got it back so we could back-up the files we wanted to keep before having them wiped.

So, ya. Today was busy. Straight from waking up, to school, to music bbq, to dixie gig, to a Night for MuSic. I got home at like 9:30. I left around 7:40. It's normal in my life. xP... but I didn't tell my parents. I did tell my brother, but only because he wanted to play tennis tonight, which wouldn't have gone well... It was 42 with the humidex........ Celcius!

So, ya. Not having band in the morning kinda messes up the bathroom schedule because like If I wake up at 7ish, I can't get into the bathroom until like 7:10, and I have to leave by 7:45. When I woke up at 6ish, no one would need the bathroom. And my dad leaves at like 7:20, so I have to be out of the house by quarter to or else I'll be late, like before if I was running late I could just get a ride. xP

During spare we made battle sounds for VB's Writer's Craft radio play. It was amusing. I also accepted my offer to Carleton, Biochem, and did very little else. At lunch I hunted down Miss CW for a couple community servie hour signatures. I also wanted to catch Mr. BF, but I had to go to to dixie practice because I missed the one on Tuesday doing my long over due Physics summative. So, I was asking people where Mr. BF was. I started asking some people in Japanese (only people I knew, or at least thought, would understand the simple sentence "BF sensei wa doko desu ka?") MM thought I knew where he was and reacted like she needed to find him. So, I explained I needed to find him (he's in charge of making the slideshow for the Chicago Trip and wanted pictures.)

So, I had to go to dixie, so I gave MM my pictures. DS also had pictures and MM had found Mr. BF, so she was sent again because DS is also in the band. So, we practiced. Apparently we were supposed to wear our music t-shirts to the gig tonight. There was also a permission form, but I'm over 18 and can sign them myself now. xP

So. Music bbq. I went to Metro and bought cookies and chips. I was skipping one act rehearsal to go to the bbq, but it was the last music bbq, for me ever... also, I know my lines. When I went to beg the whole cast was like "Ya, he knows his lines..." So they let me go, but EM said I owed her an Ice Cap. KG said I owe him some fancy Starbuck's coffee thing, but he's not a director, so... Although I'm fine with buying him something, I'm a bit too broke for it... Especially Starbuck's! lol.

So every year. At the bbq there would be fun, unofficial awards which we vote on, the next year's co-prezs would be announced, there would be a scavanger hunt, a semi-potluck type bbq and games.

The co-prezs had been decided yesterday because only two people stepped forward for the election, so it was already announced. Also, I won the "Worst Concert Screw-up" award... fun. The scavanger hunt was kinda difficult. It wasn't semi-random ordinary everyday items it was like "can you make / prove this object for points and / or creativity points?" Like, a LIVE unicorn. RP wore a pointy hat. We had a video of Charlie the Unicorn (hilarious. youtube it!) We both got points for it. The winning team won because (I think) they had a pile of tiny pieces of bread. Pieces of bread were 1/4 points each (bring multiple!) They had like 110 or something... They ended up winning with like double the score of the second place team.

The bbq ran late (40 minutes.) so we had to rush to the gig. I didn't have my music t-shirt at school. I was going to go home at 5 to get it, but the bbq wasn't done... so in the end, I was not in uniform, but we were not late, by much.

DD had to play "Oh, Canada" but didn't like the arrangement he had just been given and was not confident about it, so Mr. CR was like "Don't worry, we'll all sing along and the piano will be drowned out." So we all sang. It was in a kinda high key, but I only octaved the ending. Yuss. I was told that it was in F, ie the high note was F, ie I can sing high F if I want to. Yuss. If only I could sing high G if I wanted to.

Also, the Night for MuSic was awesome. Great singing and jazz. Good job OC! She's goes to MHS and her mom was diagnosed a couple years ago. She organized the event and they raised over 5000$ for MS!

Ya. That's about it.

See ya.

Amazing Grace

So, ya.

For a couple months I've had a physics project. It is something about SLR cameras. I'm not actually 100% on what it is, so ya. xP The point is, I should have had more of it done on time. It was due yesterday. I really had barely started on Monday and then I kept procrastinating. By the end of Wednesday I knew I had very little time left.

Thursday I had the "Grand Finale". It was the last school concert I'd be in at Merivale. I also had a softball game right before it. I thought that it felt better then normal, but it definately sounded a bit worse... xP. We had a substitute teacher in place of our conductor, so ya... she also didn't have the conductor scores for all the pieces... Also, dixie kinda fell apart. We probably shouldn't have played new music for the final concert. I missed all the rehearsals for the two weeks before (total 2) and only got the music on Tuesday and didn't play it until Thursday at 3:10. The drummer also didn't have music for it. At all...

So, ya. The concert ended (including photos and cleanup) at 10 and a bit. My parents had left because they don't help clean up and my dad wanted to watch the montreal game, so they told me to call to get a ride when I was done. I did. For 10 minutes. The phone was off and so I couldn't call them. I walked home. I think I did some work, but I definately went to sleep earlier then I should have.

I also woke up later then I should have... like 7:30..? I could have woken up at like 6:00 and finished it... probably. Instead I decided that my physics mark is so low already that it's not going to be in my top 6 either way and decided to be well rested instead of not stressed. I had also thought of skipping classes to do it, but then I'd be sacrificing my bio and calc marks to keep my physics mark at a "good" mark... I thought I could just do it over the weekend.

My teacher has recently been becoming more and more annoyed at late submissions... Like some people have been handing in labs months after they were due, so he wanted it in. Friday. So... I had to email it to him by midnight. He said to anyone who didn't hand it in to start working on it immediately and to not take any breaks until it was done.

I had rehearsal and then work until 11. I was going to try to get off at 9, but I couldn't get off until 10, which is normal... I got home and started working at it at 10:30. I emailed him at 12:33. I just couldn't finish it in time... I was tired... So I slept in until like 12:30. xP

It was really cool. I had two different dreams. In both of them, me and a couple / several friends worked together to accomplish some goal. In one we were at this like giant obstacle course thing where the goal was to get to the very edge of this like four-part falling apart bridge thing, that like when you walk on it it starts bending down. I think I was too scared to do it, so JP did it... DS was also there. Then in the second dream I think we had to beat kid koopa or something..? Oh, there was also something somewhere about a projector in my room and blinds covering my windows..? I don't remember very well anymore. xP...

Today was awesome. After all the days waking up after like 5 hours of sleep, I got to sleep in. After I woke up I had "breakfast", played tennis for an hour, walked home in the sudden downpour (lol. so fun.), cleaned my desk, washed my sheets (finally...) and then watched Reborn. It was a boring filler ep. I then went to church for Worship team practice. It was awesome. We sang part of a song acapella in 4-part harmony. I Really like vocal harmonies. We also sang a bunch of songs I really like. Like, this week a chorus from some song was stuck in my head. We sang that one! Usually we just sing like 3-5 songs. This week is pentecost and so Pastor DB invited anyone who wanted to to be on team this week, so I came, and so did another 6 people(2 A/V, Bass, Drums, Guitar, Singer and Piano. Yuss full team!), we are singing like 3 sets of songs, like 3 mashups, except not mashed up, just directly into the next one and for one of them we sing the final chorus of the first song after the second song.

Awesome. xP. Then was YF. We sang one of the sets. We then brainstormed for WestFest planning. Then we went out and collected trash on the way to DQ. It was fun. xP

I was told that I was hyper. I think I was. I like being hyper. XP

so ya. See ya.

I was obsessed with Lollipop and my friends were all like "Lollipop 2 is better" ... I like them both now...

Smile

So, Ya.

It's been a few days. I was going to post, but my computer got attacked by a swarm of viruses and had to be sent to futureshop. Anyways. Not much has happened. I've had like 24 hours of work since the last time I blogged... Including 1.5 hours as a court steward. (I will explain)

So. Thursday. The wake. Lots of people, mostly older people, crying. Except for David's family. They were all smiling. It almost made me cry. Afterwards, to get home I had to bus back. A few other guys were going to bus back too, so I went with them. The thing is one of them lives in Barhaven and wanted to go to the gym (back near school) to get his mind off of it. So, we went to his house and waited outside the door watching some little kids try throwing a small ball into a basketball net. He took a while. We then walked to fallowfield station.

Anyways, I got home, at about 5, to find out that the computer was no longer funtioning. There was a mountain of "The exe file is corrupted" messages whenever you tried doing anything, so... ya... I also had a softball game. My parents didn't know. So as I'm going with my mom to futureshop, my dad was rushing to make dinner.

I didn't eat it until after softball. I wanted to get to softball for 6 to warm up and practice with RT and i don't like running on a full stomach. I also wasn't hungry. The game didn't go well, but it was still fun. I kept getting walked... I really want to hit one this year.

So, ya. Friday. The Funeral. The schedule had been changed so that everyone could go. There was also a yellow bus. So, as we are walking to the church (literally down the road from school) the bus comes up behind us and pulls over. Our principal leans out and says there's enough room on the bus and he was willing to let us ride with no permission forms. We decided to walk.

The funeral was really awesome. Everyone was kinda sad, but still happy. This is because of the hope they have been given by God. One eulogy was by a cousin who went to "PK retreats" (Pastor's kids) because they were both pastor's kids. The thing that everyone had been saying all this week was that David had a strong faith and that he was in heaven. His cousin said that at the retreat when they were about to leave David wouldn't say goodbye, only see you later. She said something like "I won't be seeing you tommorow or the next day or next week, I'm leaving" and he still wouldn't say goodbye. "We won't see each other for months, what if you die before then..?" To which he said "Even then, it's still only see ya later."

As long as can get to heaven I will see David again. It's actually really helped. It's also helped in resisting temptation. David was so awesome.

Right after the funeral, the clouds that had been in the sky all day, grey and kinda depressing, went away and it became sunny. It was like "Ok, time to stop crying. Smile."

Anyways, I was supposed to work Friday. So, I had tried emailing the other court steward, but he often doesnt reply to his emails in a timely manner and so, you never know... On the way home I went through the park to get home. My boss was there and he wasn't, so ya. This was the first time I was going to work this year, so she went over everything and ya, same thing pretty much.

So, my phone had died a while back... I used the phone in the tennis lodge to call home saying I was at work from 4:30-8:30. It was 5:15 when I called.

So. I said 1.5 hours as court steward. Ya, so on Wednesday, at the "assembly" HC told everyone that their Youth Group was open to everyone that Friday. I had heard it was from 7-8.

I had been thinking of going to it and was annoyed by work being at the same time as everything. I really wanted to go. There was no one at the courts anyway... So, I kinda ditched work.

It started as any YF. "Starting at 7". Basketball game until 7:30, then it actually started. There was worship and then the youth pastor said a bunch ofthings about David and Jon. Then more worship and praying.

I left at 9:15 and ran home. I thought I would be home at like 8:40 because I thought it was going to end at 8. Whatever. I got home at like 9:30.

Saturday morning I did a Japanese project in about 2 hours went to school where I wrote that project on a large piece of paper and then went to work.

Sunday I went to church then went to work.

Yesterday, at band we found out that our teacher would be away that week, including the concert, again. Some boring stuff happened. In physics we got our tests back... The whole class was complaining. It was pretty bad. Also, I had to do the lab after school. Had To. Last Chance. Mr. RT had offered after school Friday, but clearly there was a funeral, and we only missed it because of the wake... I know extending it after he had complained about people not getting labs in months after they were due and saying this time it would have no extensions would have been kinda hypocritical, but really... someone died.

I was forced to miss jazz band. It was cancelled because of low attendance.

I had work that night, so he gave me a slight extension, but I wasn't supposed to tell anyone.

So, ya. When I got home from work, the computer was back. I went to watch One Piece. I also watched Bleach. Bleach episode 270 is SOOOOO great! So, ya, the computer was back, but my brother had taken the keyboard and speakers... It was like 10:30. I'm not gonna walk into his room and take a keyboard and speakers... I used my earphones and used my mouse to get there. That little down arrow in the address bar got me to animecrazy and then it was easy.

So. Today..? Physics "Field trip" kinda boring. No one in my class is going into physics. So at Carleton, they were giving a presentation on Physics at Carleton. They asked if any of us were going into Physics. lol.

It took me an hour to get back to school and i ran a good deal of it. Getting on a random bus is not usually a good idea, but it's very fun, despite it wasting my time.

Anyways. You are caught up and I don't feel like I owe you anything now.

Ttyl.

So. Today was another day.

School went by very slowly, but there was a lot less focus on him. It kinda felt isolating. Everyone around you laughing about something, but you are alone with your thoughts of David internally crying, but not that extreme...

After school I went home and went on facebook to the group page. I read some comments, posted a comment, listened to a song, looked at pictures and cried a bit.

I feel kinda crazy right now.. I feel kinda sick, I feel kinda mixed up... I went for a bit of a walk. I really wanted to run or something... I walked to my second job to see if the other guy, who should have been there, could cover me for friday. He wasn't there, I walked back and was kinda locked outside my house with no key. lol...

My parents had found out that he had died.

The wake is tommorow. I am going to skip most of physics class to go to it. I'm 18. I can sign out on my own. I'm going to bus there. RT will also be going then, but I don't know how exactly. He told me to prioritize and chop off the least important priority.

I had to choose between a softball game, the wake or physics class. The wake is at 2-4 or 7-9 in barrhaven. so i'd have to leave class early to go or miss the softball game. My team needs me and i think the excersice would be good for me, mentally and physically. I really dislike my physics class... I don't even really need it. An dI really wanted to go to the wake. So I'm missing physics. I've decided.

I've been thinking about David and a few more memories have come back to me. I remember auditioning last year with him. He sang a whole new world from alladin. xP HC was also there with him, but I don't think she was auditioning. He was nervous about auditioning. He didn't make the cast that year.

On my walk, I realized. I really miss David. Even if I didn't know him that deeply, lately I have been seeing him daily. Seeing him and his smile.

The wake is tommorow, the funeral service is friday right after school (they changed the schedule so we could all go), and a special youth groupevent for everyone that knew him is being held at his church friday night. I'm trying to get out of working Friday.

Anyways, I'm still praying for him and his family and friends.

Don't Get Past It, Get Through It.

So, ya.

The atmosphere at school was different, but still dpressing. There was no mass of people crying at his locker. There were no announcements. There was this kind of depressing feeling around, but people were laughing now. There were still some people crying, but I think everyone went to class.

One of the things I keep thinking is how people who were closer to him must feel. I barely knew him in comparison to his closer friends. I knew him by name and as an aquaintance for a few years, but I never had a class with him, I never went over to his house, I never randomly spent an afternoon with him. I went to Stratford with him, I was in the musical with him, I saw him in the halls, but I only knew the surface of him. He was more then just a smile, more then just a swing dancer, more then just a black belt, more then just another "David". I wish I had spent more time with him while I could, we all do, but we can't cry forever.

At the same time we can't just move on by forgetting him, by repressing the memories we do have. We can't get past this by pushing it away, by distracting ourselves from reality, we can't keep this all inside. We have to get through this time of sadness by looking back on the good times, letting out our tears and helping each other through it. We have to smile, like David did.

I didn't cry today. I almost did at lunch when GM was sharing a story she had written for the swing kids' giant card. I really hate that my long term memory sucks and that I don't remember details very well. David was awesome, but I have so few memories of him... I cried when I was praying about it.

Today was purple day, for David. Everyone wore purple. Just walking through the halls you could see who was affected by David's life. Even just seeing him everyday on the bus, so many people were affected by his life.

David was only 17. He died in a car accident on the way to watch Iron Man with a couple friends. David was so young. Life is so fragile.

I actually didn't eat until 6 pm today. I woke up with like 15 minutes until school and missed breakfast. I didn't eat yesterday at work. I didn't eat lunch. I didn't feel hungry most of the time.

I feel really bad for VB. She was his swing dance partner. They were good friends. Right now she's in Arizona with her family. Her sister is there too, and she also knew David, but it's not the same as being here with everyone supporting each other. She's not getting back for about a week or something...

We got nominated for a bunch of Cappies. Including best musical, and best song (Shy). He diffinately had a part in making the show awesome. He moved chairs, he did lifts, he did terrible ballet with me, he always smiled...

David will not be forgotten. He will be in all our hearts forever, but we will get through this sadness and smile.

A River of Tears

So. Ya...

As you know I was in Chicago until yesterday at about 11:35 am. Around 12:30 I read my emails. One of them was an invitation to a facebook group. The group was "R.I.P. David Stringer." I read this thinking it was some sort of horrible joke and then clicked on the link to the group. I just couldn't believe it even after reading the comments and the vague newspaper article. I just couldn't comprehend that anyone our age could be alive one day and dead the next...

I suppose I repressed it because I had to study for the two tests that I had to write today...

When I woke up I crammed for my first period test and got to school just before the bell. I greeted JA cheerfully and talked to AL as I normally would, but neither responded as they normally would... When I got to class (waiting outside the door as usual for Mr. GG) I saw AP. She had watery red eyes. Then it hit me. David must be...

When we got in the class Mr. GG explained that although he didn't know David he knew that our class would be greatly affected. He postponed the test until later this week and let us do whatever we wanted to do for the period, wether it was talking, studying or leaving the class.

I talked with AP for a bit and copied the note from Friday. AP had left by now. I left thinking I should use this time to renew my library books for my physics project and study for the test. I got my books and stuff and was heading to the library.

When I turned the corner into the A-wing I saw it, everyone was gathered around David's locker giving speeches and crying. There were flowers, a candle, his costume, pictures, signatures, a yo-yo, Final Fantasy cards, among other things... I stood there for a few minutes then realized I should put my books away. When I got back it was the same... people crying, hugging, and a general silence over the many people...

Period 2 started. I couldn't stop crying... tears just kept pouring out of my eyes... and when I cry I can't talk, and once I can talk I start crying as I talk... so I couldn't really respond to anyone very well...

Near the end of period two I had run out of tears... I still felt like I needed to cry, but I couldn't... There was now a justice league of america poster with signatures, an iron man mask, a nerf gun, the mistrel's stick, more flowers, and a signed package of cappies reviews.

I went to get my lunch and when I returned I didn't eat it... just an apple.

I went to physics. It was postponed until tommorow.

I went to calculus and we listened to kpop on veoh. mostly sad songs though. Mr. JP wanted to listen to some of his songs after listening to ours, but they weren't available on veoh... xP...

After class I went to pack my bag and renew my books. Everyone was crying again... I felt bad about going to classes when other people were crying at his locker...

I had to go to band and then work... I've been thinking almost about nothing other then him... i had work from 4-10 and couldn't think of anything but him... but i couldn't cry...

David was an awesome person. He was always smiling and was always surrounded by friends... TT.TT He was a swing dancer. He was in the musical. He was cast for the One Acts. We will miss him and all the great times we had with him. I wish I could have known him better.

He was apparently Christian, went to YF, and he was an awesome guy, so he should be in heaven now. I prayed for him a few times and will pray for him a few more times as well as for everyone who is mourning his death.

We will all get through this together and never forget the great times we had with him.

David Stringer R.I.P.

Taking a Trip From Yourself Part 2

It's 6:06. I woke up 16 minutes ago and its raining with thunder and lightning! yay! >.>

Cell phone:

It's 7:47 and we have just had breakfast downstairs. There was a waffle maker. Almost everyone was making waffles... They were pretty good.

It's 8:20 now. We are on the bus heading towards the drama workshop. Apparently BP has not been looking forward to it. So ya... Apparently BP and SD are annoyed by RP and GM so they switched places with CK and CK. Today I'm wearing a new white striped shirt. I usually wear dark colours. BC thought I was AG. Lol... It's hard talking about so many people at once...

It's 9:13. We just got to the worshop and are being seated. It's going to be fun.

Paper 2:

It's 10:13. the games were fun. We played a bunch of circle games. I want to bring them back to Ottawa and play them sometime.

It's 11:15. We just got on the bus and we are on the way to Magnificent Mile for lunch and shopping. I have to find a pharmacy to buy advil. We just had a film audition workshop. It was okay.

It's 12:40... I am out of free shopping time. I didn't buy much/anything important, just food... I don't know how I'll be able to get the advil pm...*5

Comfort Suites Note Pad:

It is now 2:55. The intermission is going to end shortly. The show has been really cool so far "There should be no introduction or finale." I agree. Debussy's music is so cool. I'm sitting beside some woman and TS. lol... The theatre hall looks so awesome. Everyone is falling asleep though... lol.

It's 4:02 we are on the bus again heading to the museum of contempory art. I've been taking pictures and playing pokemon and having a conversation about kpop with JA and JT. There was this awesome pair of cylindrical buildings. I will diffinately link/post pictures.*6

It is 4:24. We are on the bus on the way to dinner, somewhere. The museum was messed up. It was pretty funny, the second we got in everyone went to the gift shop... Best part? Possibly. I'm serious.

It's 6:24 now. We just had supper and are still at the restaurant. There are 10 people at each table. I only know 2 of the other 9 kinda well and only 4 others by name, so it was kinda awkward...*7*8

It is now 8:56. The blue man group was so awesome!!! It was so awesome and hilarious and so funny!!! I can't see what I am writing because the lights aren't on in the bus... I didn't like the poncho though... It was quite hot...

It's 11:06... *barf* It's curfew now. Me and DS had the most disgusting competition ever. At lunch I bought these jelly beans. There are 10 colours and 20 flavours. each colour has a 'good' flavour and a 'bad' flavour. No one would eat the anymore and DS had real candy and root beer so we separated the beans into colours and on the count of 3 we each would eat the same colour. More than half were bad jelly beans...Every bad one made me want to barf, but mouldy cheese and rotten egg were the worst... If I eat anything else right now, I'm gonna barf...

It's 7:29 now. DS's alarm didn't go off so we were like 30 minutes behind our shower schedule. Now everyone except TS has had a shower. He's still in bed. lol. Today we are going to 6 Flags! yay! I think this shirt is a bit small...

It's 8:28. I'm done breakfast and have gone back to my room to brush my teeth and pack.

It's 9:33. We are on the bus waiting for Mr. BF to get on the bus we've been here for a while... We were counted about 10 times before someone finally got an attendance list.*9 We were all there the whole time... Everyone except Mr. BF. A lot of the people on this trip don't want to go on rides... We have 6 hours there... lol. Mr. BF was on the school bus in front of the tour bus. Nevermind, he just went on it to see if that was our bus.

It's 10:11. We are on the way to 6 Flags. It's something like an hour bus drive from the hotel. I traded ipods with JT because I really wanted to listen to Wedding dress by Tae Yang. lol. She has a lot of songs on her ipod... Epik High is pretty good.

It's 11:42 vertical velocity was intense. Our group got split...

It's 12:29. It's kinda cold...

It's 2:00. We just got off the orbit.

It's 2:32. We are hiding from rain. lol. It's not even that hard.

It's 3:30 TS and BC have been gone for a while. We're gonna go on the American Eagle now. I bought a hoodie and am much warmer now.

It's 4:30 now. We got off American Eagle at 4:04. People won dragons. There are now 5 extra people-sized stuffed dragons on the bus.

It's 6:17. We are at the restaurant. There are 15 of us at table 20. The waiter is funny. The restaurant is designed as a 1920's speakeasy.

It's 7:38 now. The main course has been done for a while now. The waiters are ridiculous! The meal was soooo tasty! It's almost time to go home...

It's 8:53 now. We just got our sherbet dessert. All of the waiters and waitresses sing ad dance! It's quite entertaining.

It's 9:44 now. We are about to depart for CAnada. I'm tired...

On the back of the Itinerary:

It's 1:25 according to the bus' clock. I don't know how far we are yet, so I don't know what time it is here... everyone is "sleeping" or at least being quiet. When I went to sleep they were not...

It is "3:48". nothing has happened. Just more sleeping. We will get to the border around 4:00 am.

It's 4:01. We have just crossed the border into Sarniaand ya, it was easy. She asked us a couple questions, looked at DS's passport (he's american) and told us to have a nice drive. What a different process.

It's 7:32 now. We are way ahead of schedule..! We'll be home around 11 instead of 2. I must be allergic to something... My nose gets conjested a lot of the time. A while ago I realized that this is kinda like tweeting. lol.

It's 8:37. We are at a Denny's in Beleville. Everone is tired and wants to pay with american money. so they are going to let us.

It's 11:06. We are nearly home. We just finished watching "Up" it's a really good movie. A lot of people were opposed to watching it, but then they were all laughing, so I'm glad I brought it on the trip.

That was the last note I took.

We got back around 11:35ish. I went to work to see my schedule... uhggg... then talked to my parents about the trip then watched One Piece. I should study/have supper now. It's 7:19. When I figure out how, I will post the pictures on facebook and link to it.

When we were away a couple things happened... The final dnace was cancelled(various reasons) and someone that was in the Musical died in a car accident on Saturday. I can't believe it... T.T he was awesome.

So here's the video for a song that KC was talking about in Calc the other day that was on JT's ipod.

*5 On the way to the Concert Hall, I saw a CVS pharmacy down a street and Miss ML let me go. I got the advil and it was less expensive then expected.

*6 So, for some reason my camera won't turn on anymore, at the moment, so pictures will be post poned... T.T I took like 800 or so...

*7 I aked one of the 4 what the names of the other 3 girls were. Less awkward then asking them myself... xP

*8 ******** started getting too long and tedious, so I made it into *8.

*9 The reason counting wasn't working is because we were on a different bus for the ride to and from 6 flags and there were more free seats and we were all in different seats.

Taking a Trip From Yourself Part 1

So, Hey. I havn't posted in a while. This is because of the Musical and the Arts Trip to Chicago and the various projects I had due this last week.

Anyway. Before the trip my mom joked that I should email her all the time about everything. This actually led me to email myself on an hourly basis. Usually I go on these trips, have fun, but then forget most of it. I figured doing this would make more of an image in my mind when I think back, partially because it's written down, but also because it is from my perspective, not just an itinerary. So, ya. I also took way too many pictures. We left school at about 6 pm Wednesday.

So here it is, my unedited (with some "*" comments) "Hourly Blog Post" for the Chicago Trip:

Cell phone:

It is 8:35. We are about to leave Kingston after a 30 minute dinner break. I went to the bulk barn with CK and CK* and bought candy.

Its 9:30. We are on the bus. I'm being tempted, but I must resist. Luke 14?:27* If you cannot take your cross and deny your self and follow me daily you are not worthy of becoming my disciple, or something... I must fight through this with His help and move onto another day.

It's 10:29. I've been "sleeping" for a little while and we are now starting to watch "Mean Girls"... I don't think I've seen it, but I think I'd rather "sleep". Lol.

It is now 11:36. We have stopped somewhere... I ended up watching Mean Girls. Lol... It's so shallow... The guidance councilor was about to talk to all of the girls about how they relate with each other... Anyways... I'm thirsty...

So, "Mean Girls" just ended. Cheesy happy ending. It's 12:20. I'm awake right now. We're going to watch "Semi-Pro" now. Many people are opposed to watching another movie... It's 12:20... So, ya.

Ok. So it's 1:44. We are now approaching the border near Detroit..? Anyways, I didn't watch "Semi-Pro" I listened to my ipod with my noise cancelling earbuds. It was nice.

Ok... It's 2:27. We are nearly done going through customs... In other years the officer would just take all our passports and do all the stuff himself. This is the first time that we all had to wake up, put on shoes and stuff and individually go through customs.... It's 2:30 in the morning... Pity us or something.... -_-...

Its 4:52... Other than the moon its pretty much black outside.*** Everyone is "sleeping" by which I mean they close their eyes, but only about half are actually asleep and the other half are tossing and turning, like the guy beside me, DS. Also, because everything around is black, I feel like the whole world is just flying by... ***

It's 5:20... We've been at a gas station for about 15-20 minutes.... There are many bright lights and everyone woke up... BL was telling everyone to go back to sleep...

Ok. I'm kinda awake now. My battery is going to die soon... Which annoys me because I'll have to write these down on paper... It's 7:40 eastern time, but we are in a McDonalds in Indiana, so here it's 6:40. We don't go to the hotel until like 10 tonight.

It's 7:47 and my battery is going to die very soon....... Uhg... Anyways. We are now paying a toll to go onto the Chicago Skyway..? So ya...

Paper 1:

So, it's 8:30. We are still on the bus... I've been taking pictures. It's fun. =D but I'm bored now. DS and AG are playing my DS. They are supposed to be training my bellsprout. We are kinda in Chicago now.

It is now 10:36. Me, GM and RP have seen most of the aquarium. It was pretty awesome. Both cell and camera batteries are dead... I need to find new ones.

It's 12:02. We are waiting in the aquarium for the show fantasea. My camera batteries are bugging me. We don't get to go back to the bus until 6:00... I had spare batteries in my bag on the bus...

Ok, so it's 1:01. Fantasea just finished. It was actually really boring... Some "random" girl from the audience got taken on a magical adventure... There were dolphins, penguins, belugas and a hawk. They didn't do much... Apparently we get to go on the bus at 1:25. yuss. spare batteries!

It's 1:45. We just arrived at the navy pier. I have new batteries and we have 2 hours.

It's 2:26. I've been running around the Navy Pier taking pictures. lol. totemo tanoshii desu yo. "before we go back on the bus I need to buy more batteries!" Jamba Juice. =P.

It's 2:53 and we just passed the top of the ferris wheel! It's kinda cold and windy... lol. so awesome! DS, CK and LT are here too. Gondola 24 FTW! DS is scared out of his life. lol.

It's 3:49. We just got on the bus. I got 4 AA Energizer Lithium batteries for 13$... We were all looking at those rip-off necklace and ring stands. I remembered how I really want a necklace with a cross on it, but not just any cross, I want one that is unique and cool but simple. Probably metal on a black string. I didn't find one. I think once I get one, I'll wear it everyday after I'm baptized.

It is now 4:43. I am running out of paper, so I shall have to write smaller... Me and RF(?) have just been served our pasta. DS and BG were also just served. We will eat now. When we got here there was a pitcher of cola on the table. It was pepsi. We drank it. There is a new pitcher. It is... Coke!?! I don't like either...

It is now 5:30. The band started playing about half an hour ago. The band is a jazz combo, string bass, drums, piano and bass trumpet. The bass is so cool and the bass trumpet sounds like a trombone in the mid-upper register. It's sooo cool! The band is awesome. I had baked pasta for supper. For dessert we had chocolate chip cookies. They were the best cookies I've ever had. I have just confirmed that RF's name is R. lol.

Paper 2:

It's 7:07. Art. What is art? I'm walking around with JA, JT, and CK taking pictures of art and people. It's so cool.

It's 8:02. Mr, BF is yelling out room configurations. They are unchangeable. We are on the bus heading towards our hotel. LT is mad at my photographic style while JT agrees with it. I think it is much more interesting to take a picture of someone admiring/pondering art rather then just art. It may sound cold, but people are used as objects in my pictures. I really like this new piece of paper JT gave me.

It is now 10:05. Cerfew has just been called. We ended up me and TS on the beds, GM on the "floor" and DS on the "couch". I havn't read yet today. I definately will tommorow. I'll be waking up first, probably.****

* I had actually written their first names there, but changed it now. I later used initials and discovered they have the same initials. lol.

** I was actually thinking mostly of Luke 9:23 "Then he said to them all: "if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."" as well as Luke 14:27 "And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." They were both from a study I had done the night before and hadn't fully memorized them. xP. The point of the study was that when our path crosses with His path, we have to choose to follow His and give up our own desires if they conflict with His path, or something like that.

*** I then noticed that there were stars. It was also because of this wooshing sound.

**** I ended up reading that night before bed while TS was in the bathroom. lol.

Obligation

So. What's up..?

I havn't blogged in a couple days... I feel guilty about not talking to you... xP We have an odd relationship, huh..? You know almost everything about me, and I know next to nothing about "you".

Anyways, the Musical is going awesomely! Today was the third real show. Yesterday was the cappies night and refilming of the dvd and it was perfect! There were cast notes, we were warmed up on time, all notes were hit, all cues were followed, the audience was awesome, but today was lacking energy...

One left! If you havn't seen it and happen to read this before tommorow, You Should Go See The Musical. Absolutely everyone I've talked to has loved it. Everyone. Kids, Highschool students, University Students, Pastors, Principals, Teachers, "Foreigners", Everyone! Tommorow. MHS. 7:00pm. 2ish hours. Comedy. Be there!

So. ya. I am swamped in last-second projects, so I'll be staying up for a few hours. Goodnight!

Warm Fuzzies in the midst of Frozen Crystals

Hey, so.

Today. I wake up and my mom tells me it's snowing... I played tennis outside in shorts and a t-shirt yesterday and today I had to wear a coat... This is when Canadian weather sucks... Dx It was summer and now its winter again.....

Anyways. Today was our second matinee and it was awesome. Today there were a lot of younger kids, so they only really laughed at the simple jokes and physical humour. xP So, we were told to do bigger facial expressions, larger actions and stuff like that. The minstrel galloped when talking about the horses bringing the princess to the castle and it was pretty funny.

The only problem with the matinees are that I have a lot of homework piling up.

I got my cast notes done today. Yuss. 41 small pieces of construction paper, 41 slightly smaller pieces of blank paper, 328 staples, 41 green "peas" small circles made from hole punching green paper, some glue, and some of my favourite pen, and a lot of time. xP

Anyways, I should sleep...

D.Fa

26.4.10

80 minutes

So, ya.

Today was the first matinee performance of the musical. It went pretty well from where I was watching (from the wings, only every once in a while.) DA thought he messed up a song, but it sounded okay to me, although I missed the beggining and he did try to come in early after the tap solo....

Anyway, right before intermission there's this big dance that ends with confetti everywhere. I helped clean it up during the short five minute intrmission, but it got everywhere, so I was sweeping in the hall for a while after during act 2. So, ya, I'm not just Knight 3. I actually feel that Knight 3 is the smallest role I play in the musical. Aside from my actual part, I open / close curtains, I push / pull the bed around, I clean up the stage / hall / wings / moat, I help collect used props from the stage, I lift OC with the help of some other guys a few times, I serve as a bridge between the band and the cast in that angry cast members don't blame the band too much and vice versa because I'm in the way humouring them and mildly defending the other party, I try to keep everyone quiet and focused on the task at hand, and I help the director with anything else she needs help with. Lol... I make the bed everyday...

So, ya. There's an evil queen in the play by the end of the play the audience (like 5th-8th graders..?) were booing her. xP When the prince told her to shut up there was like two minutes of positive reaction to that that we had to just stand there waiting for the audience to quiet down before continuing... Anyways, that just means she's doing a good job if the audience hates the evil queen, right..?

Oh, so a bunch of people from church are coming to see the musical, so AL was asked to buy 16 tickets. Most of the money is from the people buying tickets, but 70$ were hers and 16$ were mine and 4$ were my music teacher's. lol. I had to borrow 4$ becuase I was asked to tell AL to buy two more tickets at 1:30 last night over MSN and we didn't have enough money in our wallets to pay the 30$ for the two extra tickets...

For the matinee the cast was released from their classes at 10, but since I had a spare period 2 (9:30) I ate lunch immediately at 9:30 and then at 10 I got makeup and costume before everyone else. So, when AL got there I was in full costume / makeup and she was in her regular clothes, so I offered to buy the tickets. After waiting a while for the real lunch period to begin (there were also no bells today so that they wouldn't disturb the musical) the ticket sellers were nowhere to be found so I had to go to the science office to buy them. The teacher in charge wasn't there at the moment so another 4-5 science teachers tried figuring out how to sell me tickets.

I also played tennis for a bit. Yuss. It was so sunny and my brother never does anything... but we did play for a little while and it was pretty fun. =D

So, ya. Today was pretty cool. I made my cast notes, if only without the paragraph of writing, but this is the first time my cast notes look like I put effort into them, and I actually did, maybe 80 minutes worth..?

I have to sleep...

Actions Speak Louder

So. Ya.

Today I had a bio essay due. Bio was first period, so I had to finish it before going to school. In other words, before going to sleep. This ended up taking me until about 2 am... Probably not the best idea to have youtubed kpop and msn up to distract me... I really dislike essays...

So, ya. Yesterday I went to church and then I went to work and then I did my bio essay. That's pretty much it, except for the details.

In Sunday school we were learning about John 3: 1-21. Also, there was banana cake. Mmmm banana cake.

John 3: 16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son to judge the world, but to save the world through him."

During service Pastor DB was talking about how the church shouldn't be the only thing attracting people to God, but that in the missional church the common believers would go out and bring God to others. He was saying how we should be prepared and practiced to share our faith with others and be able to act at every oppourtunity to share.

At some point, someone had taght me that the best way to show God's love is through your actions.

So, anyways, I go to work. It's a normal Sunday at work... Very little to do... One way I've found to bring God into my job is by having the radio on 99.1 when I'm in the back. It's often really cool, I just don't enjoy the gospel groove segment... Anyways, I was cutting watermelon for the fruit salads that I have to make. I cut watermelon differently then the other guys in produce. I cut the ends and then cut off the rinds from top to bottom until only the pink part is left.

Anyways, the girl in bakery saw me cutting the watermelon and asked me about it. She then asked if I ever eat any of the cubed fruit for the fruit salads. I replied "not anymore." She asked "Did you get caught?" "No." "Did you get tired of it?" "No, I realized that it was stealing." or something like that. She then said "I never steal" in a somewhat sarcastic tone and I think "I'm not one to judge you." because, ya, I had stolen in this manner a number of times a while ago.

I don't remember whe exactly, but I definately made an effort to stop stealing from work after some church event of some kind. I still get tempted to, like, eat a piece of pineapple or whatever, but it's not even worth thinking about. I mean, what is one piece of pineapple? So I just don't think about it and just finish making the fruit salad and move on.

Anyways, the point of that story was that immediately after I had that brief conversation I felt like I should tell her more about God and stuff. I also realized that everything I had learned earlier that day was true. My actions spoke louder than my words would have, just talking about fruit salad was an oppourtunity to evangelise, and that Jesus came down into this world to save people, not judge them.

Anyways, I felt really awesome right after that. Seeing the truth revealed in my own life. Also, they played "Who AmI" on the radio. xP

The rest of the night was cool, until I went home and had to work on biology.....

I also accidentaly knocked off my pokewalker and realized just after getting to work. I started freaking out, thinking like, "Where is it...? Probably at church in the couch... or the car,,, or somewhere in my house... probably at church... O wait, I can't go back to church until Sunday..! ... I'm sure it will be fine... It's a piece of plastic, what do I care..?" so ya. It's a piece of plastic. Why am I so attached to it..? (It was in the car... phew. >.>)

So, ya. That was yesterday.

We sang this song in Church and I wanted to download it, but I don't have a credit card...

Getting out of the Hole

Hey, So.

Today we had rehearsal at school from about 10-5... Oh. The biggest difference from normal run-throughs was the absence of YC. For various musical purposes she will not be playing piano with us for the matinees Monday and Tuesday and I also heard Saturday, but I hope that was just a rumour... So, anyways, today was the first time that the guy (who we are renting to play piano while YC is absent) had played with us. A few cues were really slow and a few songs were just messy, but ya. That'll just be the grade 7 and 8 days, so xP...

So, you remember MB, well, he's a very dramatic person.

Umm, I've pretty much decided I'm going to be helping JS with the props / cues for the actors during the shows. For a while props have just been left on stage or piling up during the run-throughs, getting in people's ways or just cluttering the stage. Also a number of people don't pay attention to the musical when they aren't on stage and forget their cues every once in a while... So, ya. JS is a very quiet person, so... I'm gonna help him as much as I can.

It was kinda sad... Me, JT and WR went to Quiznos during the lunch break (mostly because JT didn't want to go alone with makeup on. xP) and we were in line, we order, and then I look back towards the front of the line and JS is in line alone. He waved at me with a shy smile... I didn't immediately notice it was him, so I kinda did a double take but anyways, I didn't really respond and I felt kinda bad... I don't think most of the cast knows him very well. I know I don't really, but it was still kinda sad...

A number of people can't make it to all of the rehearsals or shows, so a number of other people have had to fill in for them. Overall it's been going well, but sometimes it's been kinda awkward... Like me and OD who was filling in for DS in the terrible ballet part of "Shy"... xP

Remember, Choose God's Justice over God's Mercy.

Also, "Victrebel I choose you!" *Victrebel eats James* "Victrebel chews me!" lol.

Anyways. I have to go to sleep.

P.S. I saw this video in YF tonight and it was pretty cool.

This Bad...

Ya, So.

Today was a Friday.

I really don't want that to be how I start all of these. The main reason I do that is that it's the only way I can start to remember what happened today... xP

So, today was our all day rehearsal for the Musical. Opening night is next Wedneday and we really weren't ready, so we rehearsed all day long. xP. It's far better then it was a week ago. No doubt about it. Mss CW was saying we should be able to do three full run-throughs in our time. (OMG I just remembered something horrible that happened today...) She was saying 8:30-10:30, 12-2 and 2:30-4:30. There's no way that would have happened...

We didn't start rehearsal until 9 and a bunch of people had various tests to do throughout the day, some people even went to gym class >.> not impressed. We only did two run-throughs and the first was cut in half with lunch in between.

I kinda don't want to go to school... xP I'd much rather hang out with friends all the time... xP I feel like this is a really bad thing to say, but at the same time I really don't want to go to physics class.... What happened to me..? Why have I done alomst no homework at home in a few weeks..? I've always been a good student occaisionally slacking but I've never been This bad have I..? The problem is that I also don't see myself catching back up very easily... The Chicago trip is the 5-9 of May and I'm missing classes Monday and Tuesday... and my second job starts soon and so does softball...

...

Anyways, that's enough negativity. Oh wait! The terrible thing that happened! nevermind...

...

So, every year around this time an event called "Merivale Detention" happens at school. For a few weeks students council goes around at lunch collecting money for the Cancer Society and then one day at lunch a bunch of teachers are forced to do embarassing things based on how much money we raised. So, the student council co-prez kicks us off the stage at abput 10:20 to set up for the event. So we close the curtains, get off the stage and go to eat our lunches.

During the event there was musical chairs, "invisible" doughnut eating, a sandwich making contest, the boots of doom i think, a pop-quiz, and a teacher shaved her head. So, I think a few of those need explainations...

Musical chairs, you know walk around the chairs then the music stops and everyone tries to sit down on the (n-1) chairs where n= the number of people still circling the chairs. Well, my math teacher was being his self and was cheating. He would sit on the chair until he had to get up because of the other teachers going around the circle, among other things. It kinda made me angry... His personality is a bit annoying.

"Invisible" doughnut eating: There were three blind-folded teachers trying to eat doughnuts that are suspended by string without their hands. xP half of the doughnuts were powdered... Mr. P got powered sugar all over.

Sandwich Making Contest: A teacher would stand in front of a table of sandwich ingredients with their hands behind their back. Another teacher would stick their arms through the first teachers arms from behind. The second teachers job was to make a sandwich and feed it to the first teacher. This is a little awkward, but very funny to watch.

xP I forgot. The teachers had to learn and then dance to the hoedown throwdown or whatever its called.. they mostly failed, but it was mildly entertaining.

Ewwww. The boots of doom were rubber boots filled with various condiments. Mostly ketchup, salsa, jam, and relish. There were two teachers forced to face the boots. They then had to run across the stage three times, do five jumping jacks, and 5 push-ups.

Now, for the Pop quiz and the climactic terrible thing I've been talking about. So, Mr. GG, he's a humourous science teacher, always making puns. He had the pop-quiz. There were three questions:

  1. Pop-culture
  2. Cancer
  3. Science

He got them all wrong, probably on purpose though. For each wrong answer he got a plate full of whipped cream in the face. However, the first plate got more whipped cream on something other then his face than on his face. . . . . . . It got on the curtains! The second it happened all the people in the cast felt the same sinking feeling... The show is in less than a week and suddenly the already dirty, but clean enough curtains get a coat of whipped cream........

After Merivale Detention was over we imediately started freaking out and got a bucket of water and towels and a mop to clean up. It didn't look good, even after it dried....

Anyways, tommorow is our last real rehearsal before we have real performances that start Monday with the matinees for middle school kids. Kinda like test runs with an audience.

So, ya.

Good night.

Another Day

Ya, So.

It was Thursday.

Not much happened today. Steel band, school, rehearsal, band, pokemon... blog.

So, ya... Today CM who graduated last year and went into Biochem at Carleton was in our Bio class today talking about stuff. Just came back because his exams were done. xP He recomended staying at home instead of living in residence if you can because you'll get more done, ie less partying. Anyways, that took up a lot of the class and he used the words "really" and "super" way too many times.

During my spare I read more about Platonic Philosophy for my Physics project. It's kinda interesting...

At lunch I went to Music Council, but AL was having her hair cut and donated to cancer patients, so YC was the only co-prez there. Apperantly YC doesn't talk very loud normally.

In physics we were doing stuff on electromagnetism. The best part was playing with the magnetic stuff. xP

In Calc we had a sub again. Yesterday we had Mr. Cheeseman. xP That was his name. His dad is apperently lactose intolerant. Ha. It's ironic.

Musical rehearsal went well, we actually have the play down to two hours and it is starting to come together, but another mic broke... So Miss CW is going to get a couple new ones. Tommorow we have rehearsal all day long. xP I feel sympathy for the band. By the end of the day their lips are going to be dead. Yes, that includes the harp player!! jk.. String instrumentalists will have tired arms / fingers.

So, ya. All-star band is fun but today was the last rehearsal I will be attending. Next week is the last rehearsal, but I have the musical that night. Then the dress rehearsal is on the Saturday which I will be late to because of Japanese class, and it will make me late to the cast party before the closing night show... Then the [erformance is the following day. I will have to miss some / all of church that week........ It's troublesome, but it will be done soon.

My second job starts in a couple weeks. Should be fun, but I need a new racket. My second job is court steward, so I monitor the courts and can play with people if they need someone to play with until someone else comes to the courts. So it's a lot of nothing, but I get payed.

Ya. I should sleep. I wanna run tommorow morning. and its kinda late.... *crosses fingers*
