Yo. Have I ever told you that God has it all figured out?
Well, ya, He does.
Today I got to have lunch with my friend again. As usual we talked about seemingly random things. I kinda feel bad after these lunches for not being able to share the good news, the hope I have, Christ, more during the conversations, but I just prayed for a chance to after work before going to church.
And that is exactly what happened. xP
I was just reading my Bible when he got to the place we were meeting. And he asked what book is that? He then flipped to the table of contents and asked what the difference between old and new testament is, and if I had read it all, which just led to more good conversation about the Bible. He's actually amazed by how many people's lives have been changed by this book. He asked where he could buy one, and (this may or may not be a valid assumption) thought he could buy one at the book store. o.O Is that possible??? The closest 'Christian store' is like really far away. >.> So hopefully. =P
Yeah, so our friend picked us up and we went to church. Friday night is Alpha course. It's week 4, so I hope I can go through week 1-3 material with my friend during our lunches or something. Alpha course starts with a home cooked meal. So good time to meet people and laugh at people. lol. Next was trilingual worship. Sweeeeeeet. Then a video. Today's topic was prayer. Really good. Small group time to discuss. I'm in the old group again. lol. Found out our friend and his wife were trying to have a baby for a long time and their parents were getting really pushy. His wife prayed like Hannah that if God would make her pregnant the baby would be named Samuel. A couple weeks later it was confirmed. He was doubtful, what if it's a girl? Nope. Samuel is 4 months away now. =D Yet, he still has trouble trusting in God? My friend asked a bunch of good questions and seems to have really been listening and trying to learn. I hope to give him a Bible soon and discuss whatever he wants to about what he reads.
Seriously, Alpha was awesome. I love God's family. SCAC is definitely my home for the summer.
Thank God for my friend, thank God for SCAC, thank God for even bringing me here.
His plans are higher than ours, but they all work for the good of those who love Him.
Ttyl.
