So, today was filled. Literally every second of my day was filled. But it was awesome. I kinda slept through Biochem class though... >.>
Later on I helped LF in Phys Chem class. Helping him find errors in his assignment.
Next was my break. I think I was... umm. Ya. I was in the Loeb building chilling with some of my friends working on my BIOC lab and doing the prelab quiz. Then I ran off to my Plant Bio class and learned Korean again. lol. There was a beet being passed around the class. >.> and he was telling us about weird stems...
Then I had to go help out at the Raven's Log table for Carleton's Club Days. There were like 4 or 5 of us there so I really didn't do anything. I joined CUJA (the Carleton University Japanese Association) and got a FootPatrol Application. Also I said I would like to volunteer with Sock and Buskin (theatre group) not to mention that I'm an exec in Raven's Log (which you should definitely check out some time. I will link it in the side bar..? It is a youtube club). On top of C4C stuff... I'm overloading myself... again.... lol.
Between 4:30 and 6 I did a WBS Bible Study. That was cool. It was about the Family of God.
At 6 I had a Co-op seminar thing. It was informative and funny. There were four employers from varying workplaces and we got to ask them questions. I took 7.5 pages of notes. I have to write a resume or something by Wednesday...
At 7:30 I went to this meeting for 'Makeshift 22'. What in the world is Makeshift 22..? That is what I was thinking going into it. SC president of Raven's Log told us to all go and network, promote the club etc. Makeshift 22 is an amazing idea. It's all about cross-disciplinary and inter-club projects supporting each other and working collaboratively on projects for good causes. Also, they want to be able to support projects that individuals have but have nowhere to throw out this idea and get it started and rolling. On top of funding they also will be able to provide people support and ideas and basically promotion too and everything really. They can look into their members database for people interested in such projects or useful in that area and get your ideas off the ground. It's still starting up because last semester was it's first semester and it was only architecture last year. I see a lot of potential here and want to see it grow.
Ya. I'm excited, over worked, under slept and have a lab to finish. lol
Ttyl.

PS. Apparently I will be Vloging soon. Also, I take blog requests now..? (You'll see.)

More stuff.
Yo, school is crazy. Have I told you that my Chem partner is NF just like last year!?! Pretty crazy. We were gonna do infared spectroscopy on our salicylic acid crystals, but the lab coordinator is 'an early bird' meaning he gets to school at like 7:30 am then leaves by 4pm. We are supposed to do that by our lab on Friday, but our schedules don't mesh well and so the only available time we have is after 4 or before class on Thursday at 8am. >.> Whatever.
Umm. My Tuesdays are basically identical to MJ's so I've been spending a lot of time with her.
Next week me and SC are playing badminton again. He says I need to remind him because he will not remember. Also, I was talking to JC and he asked if I play badminton, so I told him about my playing with SC and so next week he will be coming with us! Yay! I found out recently that he isn't 'a frosh' in the full sense. He is a first year at Carleton, but he's had a year at Brock already and had some credits transfer.
Ya. Summit! But I need to do some of next weeks work in advance...

PS. A girl who came to C4C the other week who only found out about it through my roommate doing follow-up in a blue C4C shirt is in my Phys chem class. lol.

-Gotta do more school work.

Where we left off.
Hey guys.
Today started off awesome. Even though I had to wake up 'early' it was well worth it. Worship practice at 10am was awesome. Starting my day the right way. Prayer, praise and worship with my brothers and sisters, and God. (I had actually only solidified the setlist last night at 1am. lol.)
The practice went really well. Like, nearly perfect.
Anyways, I got a drive home and instead of free hamburgers at RBC I had KD at home. lol. It's not jsut KD though. There were hotdogs and onions and carrots and part of a hot pepper. Then suddenly my nose was on fire..? My left nostril was on fire. It hurt quite a bit. So, I borrowed some milk and drank it, through my nose. lol.... Also ice cold water... It was kinda so painful that I couldn't even eat properly. lol. I googled 'hot pepper juice in nose' and came to the conclusion that I should borrow some yogurt. lol.
I had to run off to work. I have to bus now. lol. My first time back at work in four months. Everyone was really happy to see me. So weird being back. TM is a cashier now. The funny thing is that basically nothing had changed. I prayed that I would see one of the YA this evening and funny enough I saw ED! She had no food left, so she had to buy some groceries. She has a lot of competitions coming up so I won't be seeing her for quite a while. I'm really glad I got to run into her before she disappeared. lol
Also as I was starting work, BJ was appeared! She is visiting for a week. I got her new phone number (she has a tendency of losing or breaking her phone I think...). She's kinda drunk right now though....... lol. I missed her.
I miss my East Asian buddy that TL and I met on the first day.
Oh, also, I miss MC's laugh. I heard someone with a slightly similar laugh today. >.>
It's almost Summit!!! w00t!
Ttyl.

PS. On the way home a really wasted guy asked for help to find his way to his friend's house. He had taken a lot of drugs and alcohol and was apparently passing out in random places...... He was supposed to be at his friend's for 5pm. It was 10:30. >.> I hope he is okay.

Oatmeal and Sodium Napthalate
So. CW is describing the way I listen to one song until I'm sick of it then going to the next one in an analogy. I'm like an alcoholic who goes from one drink to another. He is also analyzing the lyrics and assuming I 100% relate to them. In David Choi's Uneasy he says 'he drives a better car, he's better looking than me' the song is basically about him being jealous of his girlfriend's friends who are male and CW thought that I was threatened by DZ and his BMW stealing 'my love interest'. All hypothetical though. CW keeps dissing all of David Choi's songs saying they are all cheesy love songs and that David Choi has no guts if he's just gonna avoid his ex (Re: Won't Even Start).
Anyways, last night I finally had to go buy groceries since I was all out of food and ya... I got out of my stats class early. So I bussed to work and bought groceries for an hour. lol. Only 50$ though! 5 big bags of food and only one cent of tax (on the bags. >.>) Then I got a drive home and signed up for SUMMIT using CW's credit card. lol I still don't have a credit card. No big deal.
Ya. My prelab was super long. I was up until 2 and woke up at 7 to finish it at like 8:30. Then I finished my Biol prelab and Biol assignment, which although both are way more simple than the Orgo Chem prelab, they were still making me stress a bit.
Everything worked out really well though, so no problem. I'm a bit tired, but it's a new day. lol.
I had oatmeal for breakfast, but I packed a lunch! So, that's good. lol.

PS. I got a call back..? o.0 I thought they were going to call me on Monday. They called me during phys chem and since I have caller ID now it showed 'Carleton Sexual Assault Services' since I had that number on my phone for frosh week and it's all extensions from one central Carleton number.

What do you crave?
So, today was super great. Basically awesome. lol (Which I have noticed I use too often. >.>) But, ya, really it was good.
I didn't have class until 10, so I took the extra time and prayed and read the Bible and had a quiet time kinda. I really need to get back into good routines with my quiet times. Ya.
So, organic chem was good. Alkenes. Fun stuff.
More free time for lunch, reflecting on sunday school work and kinda quiet time..?
Then I had a bio lab. Ground tissues. We cut up some begonias and some crazy semi poisonous plant. It's really hard to not rub your eyes when you are not allowed... Ya. easy whatever.
Next was another good part. I had a follow-up meeting with PB. On his survey he wrote 'pastafarian' for I am a person who is: other: ___ . So, I was kinda expecting some really weird person... He's in science, so we talked about that for a bit. Then we got to the magazine and he had written down justice for what he craved, but he was rethinking his answer. He craved Escape and Love. So, we went through the escape article, which I hadn't done yet. And we transitioned into the KGP article. He was saying that he grew up not really knowing 'religious people' or being able to find out about these things, so he was really attentive and interested and it made sense to him. He wasn't ready to make an instant decision (really, it's a weighted question. lol) but ya, he seemed interested in exploring these new thoughts. Thank God for bringing him to Carleton University and giving me the courage to phone him up yesterday (I was avoiding it).
Ya. Then I ran off to have dinner with JC. I don't think I've seen him in a week. lol But we're still good friends because we text all the time. I keep wanting to be like 'Oh! My friend MK met up with your friend TC today!' and talking about that. He's Catholic and we haven't had a full conversation about that yet. I gave him a magazine and invited him to the discussion groups.
Then I had class, biked home and now I'm here. I played guitar for a while.
Ya. Two meetings tomorrow. I can't do it myself.

Where am I now?
So, I'm not gonna write a post about how much work I have to do right now or how many things are piled up. Read this instead: Running on Empty. It describes basically exactly where I was at. But even while in this state, relying on myself and slowly losing perspective, God is still doing so much for us.
A couple minutes ago I thought I should use the extra time I had between classes to read some of His word and it was awesome. It reminded me of His love for us and all He has done for us. I was reading Ezekiel 33-36. So good. lol I will now quote many things I read:
'Son of man, say to the house of Israel, "This is what you are saying: 'Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of them. How then can we live?'" Say to them, "As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?"
'Therefore, son of man, say to your countrymen, "The righteousness of the righteous man will not save him when he disobeys, and the wickedness of the wicked man will not cause him to fall when he turns from it. The righteous man, if he sins, will not be allowed to live because of his former righteousness."'
...
My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or looked for them.
...
I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of cloud and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries
...
I myself will tend my sheep ... I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak ... I will shepherd the flock with justice.
...
I will make a covenant of peace with them
...
They will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them ... and no one will make them afraid.
...
You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.
...
For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back ... I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. ... I will save you from all your uncleanness
...
I will do it."
Ezk 33:10-12, 34:6, 11-13, 15-16, 25, 27, 28, 31, 36:24-27, 29, 36. (emphasis added by me)
I see a lot in these verses. Remember though, that when it was written down, God was speaking about the future. When God says He will do something, He does it. It may not happen as soon as we might wish or expect, but it always happens in the perfect timing.
As seen in those passages, all have sinned and been separated from God, the consequence being death, spiritual death, eternal separation from God. Also seen is God's love for us. He himself is going to do all the work, the only thing He asks of us is to turn back to him and accept all that He is doing / has already done / will do for us. Through Jesus, God the Son, who came down to Earth, God dealt with all of it. By God's own doing, He died on the cross willingly so that we may be forgiven of our sins, that we may have our past payed for and so that we can start over justly. Of course by our own strength we fail, but with the new heart and Spirit placed inside of us, God gives us the power and helps us. We aren't in it alone, God is with us 'always, to the very end of the age.'

Rambling
How can I say this nicely?
I want to go to bed now... Can we stop playing video games now?
Well, it doesn't really matter, but I need to wake up in 7 hours and I'm dead tired... This is what you get for having an Arts student as a roommate.
Just kidding, about my annoyance. It's kinda happening, but only because I haven't said anything...
Whatever.
Today I went to church by bus. This involves walking over to Fisher and then bussing downtown, and transferring then walking down Churchill to church. The 16 was 14 minutes late. >.> I was starting to get annoyed, but then the bus driver said good morning and I forgot about it. I love good bus drivers. lol. They just make your day.
We started Sunday school. We're gonna be in the same groups for 12 weeks instead of the usual 6 because on of the courses are extra long, so the other groups are just sticking together after the first 6 weeks and doing another one. I kinda forgot that I had done the one I'm in now. I guess it's good then. lol
SC came to church today! I think it's about time we had the talk. RL slept in. Keep praying for him!
After the service as usual we took time to decide where we would go for lunch. The final decision was hotpot or Pho. I ended up at little fat sheep mongolian hotpot, but the prices had gone up, so we left. lol. We went to the Billing's Bridge food court instead. It's not really about the food, it's about the time we get to spend together.
Then at 3 we got home. Time to start my homework. 5pm came around and I had done nothing, well nothing that was actually on my imminent to do list, just something I meant to do a long time ago. lol. Thanks to RZ for making me type out how my summer went. I ended up facebook stalking most of the email addresses for my EA extended family members (meaning some people on the other teams). After that I actually got to work and read 50 pages in my Biochem textbook... That took so long and I knew most of it. >.>
I finished watching 'Only Yesterday', a Ghibli film from a number of years ago. It's a very nice film. Recommended. It's about a girl who goes to work in the country because she always wanted to live there when she was a kid. She has many flashbacks to grade 5 and it's also got some romance in it. I started watching it because I wanted to watch Arietty, the second newest Ghibli film, but then I realized I hadn't seen a couple.
I also finally watched the season finale to SC's 'myDrama' on youtube. lol. So much build up and then he ends up doing something off script. So hilarious though. It seriously doesn't look like a season finale, it looks like a series finale.
By the way, I auditioned for a play, I am likely going to join FootPatrol, CUJA and also help SC with his youtube club.
David Choi is still awesome.
Ttyl. I'm gonna try to sleep.

Day 5 and Part of 6
Well, yesterday was fun. lol...
It started off with me leaving later than I had originally planned and being held up by my deciding which shoes to wear. lol... Waste of time, not actually important, but really, I feel way cooler when I wear Converses. I like to pretend I am cool. lol. I want to buy more cool clothes. >.> My old clothes are all big and lame and ya......... Not important. The only thing is that I didn't buy anything to wear in winter when I was in EA, so there is nothing new to wear when it gets cold.
That's not important.
I had one class and one lab. I don't understand most of what we are learning in Phys Chem... I do not know how to integrate. >.> My friend KG was just nodding along the whole time during class though. This is making me think he is way smarter than I usually think he is.
My lab was pretty boring. Just the lab manual, normal procedures, a hilarious video on lab safety and we were done two hours early.
Between the class and lab I had two meetings scheduled. They both fell through though and will have to be rescheduled. I was really looking forward to the second of those two meetings. He pretty much filled out everything on the survey, so it would have been a very interesting conversation.
After the lab finished I went home and had a large lunch.
CW had repaired my bike! You see, I was looking forward to riding my bike in the summer, warm weather and the warm breeze, just flying down bike paths. Looking cool, feeling free, having fun. Green grass, white clouds, blue skies, birds tweeting, cicadas humming. Summer in all it's greatness. But I had a popped inner tube and CW was gone until September and I've been busy and he's been busy. Either way, the weather has shifted. It's like summer in Eastmain again... CW says it's like summer in the Yukon. >.> That's not summer.
So, we biked back to campus for 'the event formerly called weekly meeting'. A bunch of people went to ACF this week though. They should really not be on the same night. lol. (ACF = Asian Christian Fellowship) I got to meet another group of excited first years and some second years too. We had a talk about the Spirit filled life. It was good. We were in a funny room though. lol
After we went to Oasis and played some board games. We (JS, MC, DB, AL and I with some other onlookers) played a game called 'Killer Bunnies'. It is pretty hilarious, but a little hard to understand at first. The rule book is pretty funny too. You have to get the magic carrot. There are 12 carrots and you don't know which one is the magic one until the end of the game, so for a long time you are trying to kill the other bunnies, get carrots and keep your bunnies alive until all 12 have been collected. Then you find out who the winner is! I got 5 carrots. I won! Yay! It was a long game though. lol.
Biked home and I think I went to bed. Oh, anime first, then bed. lol. Also dinner.
This morning I had my second driving lesson. It went way better than the first one. No real reason though. xP I haven't really been in a car very much since the first one and that was like 3 weeks ago or something. lol It was good.
Ya, so that's it so far.

Dread and Joy
"I've dread this more than I've dreaded anything else in my entire life."
Well, I haven't dread this that much, but I didn't want it to happen. I'm starting to get behind in my school work... >.> I'm trying to be really keen and get things done, do readings, etc. For two or three days in a row now I have not done any work at home. Actually things I wanted to do and planned for that weren't homework are also being shirked.
I meant to go buy groceries yesterday after getting home from school, but, for the purposes of being home at a reasonable hour so I could call some people, I had to leave to play tennis with my brother before buying groceries. In the end I came home with two big bags of groceries from my parents' house. lol
All my labs this week seem to be introductory labs, not actually doing anything, so I haven't had to really do pre-labs except for my plant biology class and that lab is going to be a piece of cake. The entire semester just cutting up plants, staining them with dyes and then looking at them under the microscope. lol. interesting, easy and awesome. lol
Umm. Ya, last night when I got home around 7:20 I procrastinated until 8, but then I started doing more follow-up calls and getting more meetings set up. I got four more meetings scheduled and I have another guy to call later today that I texted yesterday. So, that is awesome. xP
The meeting I just had an hour ago went really well. MD is really cool. He is originally from India, but grew up in Dubai and now lives with his uncle in Barrhaven. It's a bit of a commute to Carleton from there, but that's cool. He doesn't have a cell phone yet though. xP He was really interested in getting involved. He even asked for another magazine so that he could share it with one of his friends!
So far so good. Got a lab to go to.

Guitars and Classes and Meetings
So, today was really busy.
First was a prayer meeting outside in the quad and I was in charge of worship songs. MM's guitar is kinda difficult to play in tune. you put a bit of pressure on the strings and they slide sharp... Chords are bad. lol. In any case we prayed for the frosh and for revival on the campus and all those other good things.
I handed MM's guitar over to AL. I was not going to bring it around to my lectures and my Biol lab.
TL spammed me during orgo chem and it produced some interesting 'poems' for lack of a better word. (Check my tweets) This is because he was sending me twinkle twinkle little star word by word... my phone does not always get messages in order. Also duplicates are just stacked, not repeated. DP was actually texting me the pokemon theme song at the same time. >.>
After that I had a meeting with A(?) who I had called yesterday. He has a Catholic background and firmly believes in works. He said he really likes having conversations with people, so I'm sure he'd enjoy our discussion groups that we will be having this month. It was good talking to him.
Later was my Biol lab I also got to see JS and MC. They are in Engineering and are frosh. lol I want to see them grow in their faith too.
My biology lab was soooooo much fun! lol. We were doing microscopy and sectioning stems. Our lab coordinator said that this is basically all we will be doing this semester, which is awesome! Super easy labs! Also, it was a lot of fun. xP All the people at my lab bench were kinda making fun of me for being so nerdy. I was so excited that they told us how to adjust the microscope so that both eyepieces are focused! So the lab coordinator picked on me and singled me out to repeat myself... lol.
After I had a meeting with another guy, RI. He is from Jordan and has been going to church all his life. He seemed really tired / brain dead when we met though. lol. I emailed him all the information and we'll be in contact. He said he had a bunch of homework to do, so I went through the magazine really quickly. I was pretty sure he had seen all it before too, so I wasn't too apprehensive of doing so. In any case he has the magazine now to read over.
Next I had to find the guitar. lol. AL had given it to J(?) to watch for a little while and he kept it a bit longer then we couldn't find him. Bookstore =/= Library, by the way. Once we found it I was able to safely store it in AM's room. She is one of the friends I made during frosh week.
Ya. Our stats lecture was suuuuuper boring. Stem and Leaf and Histograms for an hour and a half....... Bored to death.
Then I took the bus home. Big mistake. like a 30 minute bus ride instead of just walking like 15-20... >.>
Ya. I'm gonna sleep. I actually don't have any labs to do this week apparently..? But I still have to show up and do check-in or introductions. It's cool though. No prelabs. xP

Excited again!
Hey D.Fa! Don't ever forget that God is amazing and answers prayers!
When you ask him of things he will answer! When you ask for things in accordance with his will, he will give them to you! When you seek first his kingdom and righteousness he will provide everything else! When you don't know what to do, trust in him and trust in him to guide you!
I wanted to help out more at C4C this year and have God use me. Suddenly I'm doing so much more without even really asking to. I get to do some follow-up for the survey campaign contest. I get to lead worship for tomorrow's prayer meeting. I get to see all my friends from last year and still be their friends as if nothing happened to separate us during the summer. I get to come back and be changed and be used to change others. I'm so thankful for the people I have met this week, for the people around me, for everything really.
Today I had two lectures and a tutorial. All my profs are pretty zany. (except my stats prof) My classes are gonna be awesome this year! I just need to stay on track and everything will work out.
I'm glad I got to spend some time with KC and help him out with his prelab. I hope and pray that God would be working in his life. I saw that he signed up for a DG, so I really hope that he comes out to those and really participates and that God changes him too.
God doesn't just take sinners and leave them the way they are. Although he loves them for who they are, he doesn't love our sin. He payed for our sin through Jesus' death on the cross, but just as Jesus was raised again to new life, so must we be transformed to a new life and grow into the person we were meant to be. It's exciting.
Today we were calling some people for follow up. I got 10 guys. I called like 5, set up 3 meetings, emailed the rest, probably not much there, but really, there are almost 100 first year guys who are interested in meeting up with us for a brief chat about God or Spiritual questions. I pray that God would really be using us in the little time we have and change other lives.
God is awesome.
Peace.

Getting Back on Track
Hey. Today, or rather this weekend I hope to do all my prelabs for the coming week. I have done none today. First I had a large helping of No Name Quick Oats which I bought 2.25kg of the other day. I also have a kilo of sugar, so I should be okay. After breakfast we went to the Food Court on 2nd floor University Centre on campus for follow-up training and data entry. There are so many people interested in meeting up with us again! It's so exciting! And I get to help! Both scary and very exciting. I can't wait to meet these people and talk with them. I'm kinda worried that my schedule will kill any free time I have though, so I may not end up being able to help very much... We had pizza for lunch. Don't ask about the last four pieces. I don't know what happened to them. >.> I put them down at the bus station then chased after a bus. Anyways, I bussed a really long way around the city to get to worship practice.
[I just realized I wasn't finished posting this. lol]
Worship practice was really good. It was me, AL's brother AL, PE and NE on worship team. We went through the songs quickly and went home early. They drove me home. Then I was going to go play tennis with my brother. JS had asked if he could borrow my racket. It wasn't home yet, so I made Kraft Dinner for supper. I ran off to tennis. I thought the courts were way closer than they are... We played. It was a lot of fun. I went to my parents'. Ate ice cream and got a drive home with leftovers. xP I need to go buy some food...

First Frosh Finale

Hey guys!
Super crazy week this one has been!
Saturday 8am-5pm
We were on campus moving half of the students into residence. It was a really great time of getting to interact more with my team and getting to work together with the other facilitators. The main thing that made me think was just how much of a great service it is having all the facils helping move people into res. You pull up in a minivan packed to the egdes with bags, boxes, clothes, books, etc. with just you, and your parents. The task of moving in might take a while. 5 minutes later you are done. How? The 20 facils that grabbed a box moved it all in one trip! All of them with smiles and a desire to help welcome you and give a hand. I really enjoyed this day and just getting to see all the excited first year students got me really pumped!
Sunday 8am-1am
Repeat of yesterday. I wore different shoes because I got blisters from my converses. lol. By the end of the day everyone starts getting really tired. There was a meal for off campus frosh and we got to meet them for a bit although a bunch didn't end up participating in most of the week. At 7 or something Ravenpalooza happened. It was like a pep rally and there was also Second City doing improv and sketch comedy. After that was the much video dance! I got to meet a couple frosh and patrolled around the room. The dance was really fun. We also walked people home, either to res or their cars or a little further. Safety precautions. I was dead tired when I got home. I got a drive home which is awesome because it started pouring. lol
Monday 8am-2am
Roundup the frosh by pounding on their doors and chanting Slinky cheers! We got to meet and talk to our frosh for the first time. Asian guy with super British accent, what?! It doesn't work in my head. I think he's impersonating a Beatle. >.> Umm. A workshop and a play. Also at the same time we were scrambling to move in the last 500 students into the new incomplete res building. Then we all went off to the canal and had canal games! Fun carnival style games pitting team against team. Always included a cheer off and then we'd switch stations and do it again. Games included inflatable obstacle courses, a dunk tank, a real life battleship game. Then we prepared for the team dance competition. LOL. E(?) was so stressing out about our choreography. At the end of the dance was a cheer and they all did really well. All 17 teams used a different song! Except for 'Teach me how to Douggy'. >.> Then dinner time. Afterwards was CU@Night! Two dances, BINGO!, Trevor Boris, and Karaoke. It was a lot of fun too. Afterwards me and AL walked a couple engineer students most of the way home. They live a little further than me, so we walked together to my house then split ways. So tired. lol.
Tuesday 8am-11pm
Wake up! Then we all went off to that grassy area by the uncovered teepee and had a 'Spirit Roundup' where every team did a lot of cheering and there were two competitions (I think) the Burp-Off and Pudding Eating contests. Either way, afterwards we all walked along the canal down to the beaches! It was beach day! The main events were sand castle building and cheer competition, volleyball, and dodgeball. There was free redbull and other stuff too. We spent a lot of time working on our castle. We got to work right away and made an amazing sandcastle! (Ours was the only castle!!!) All the others were really good too. Umm. After we went back and had dinner. Then we rounded up the frosh and went to the concert!! Stereokid and Down with Webster! 'Whoa!' It was a lot of fun. I was in the middle of the crowd with NC and JC (same last name. lol) great concert, but Stereokid may have been better musicians.

Wednesday 6pm-11pm
Ok. Wednesday I woke up at 8 and got to work. I had to prepare for school. I hadn't bought any books or even knew where my classes were yet. I got a lot done. I went to the bookstore and I don't really remember a lot of it. lol. Then I had dinner with JC and one of his friends. Also a trombone player! Then I had to go roundup the Slinkys to go to the Expo! What is the Expo? It is where pretty much all the organizations, clubs, Societies, and campus groups get together and show the frosh what they are, give out free things and have contests. It was pretty wild. So many people in such a small space. I didn't get very much free stuff, but I got to see a bit about Foot Patrol and a number of other groups. After that was a (really bad) talent show of a couple groups from Carleton. The South Asian Alliance Dance group was okay. They won 500$ for their club. Last of the night was 'MTV's The Buried Life'. Reading this on the schedule I thought 'Oh no... MTV. This is going to be bad.' They are really cool four guys who in their own circumstances came to think about their lives and what they wanted to do before they died. They wrote a list of 100 things and started getting to work completing them. It started as a two week trip, but it got extended over and over. They also along the way decided they should help others achieve their dreams. They have helped a lot of people with a number of really cool projects. One of the things on their list was to have a television show. Eventually they signed on to MTV when they were approached, but they told them that they'd be in control of the episodes and filming and everything. So it's still a good show, just on MTV. lol.
Thursday 10am-1:30am
First day of classes! I had one lecture in the morning. Organic Chemistry with my prof is going to be awesome. No textbooks. Just the lecture slides and schedules all printed and bound into an 80$ book of things we actually need. He's a really cool prof too. I got to help JS with the current C4C outreach contest '$1000 in Change' campaign by handing out short surveys and talking to people a bit for a couple hours. Later I went to get more books. The bookstore's lines were sooooo long. Then I went home to see my mom. She has been back since Sunday morning and she is much better. She is having a bit of a vision problem, but she is mobile and eating and feeling much better. She had been off her feet for a long time though, so she's getting readjusted to walking. This is a chance to start over. She's lost a lot of weight, lost a lot of pills, is eating better. Keep praying for her. Then I got a drive to school for some follow-up training for the campaign. Then I had Stats at 6. It ended early and there was no lab that night. Then roundup for the Ravens basketball game against California. There were so many frosh that the facils were kicked out of the stands. I read the Un.Cover magazine which speaks about our cravings and how they can point to there being a source of these cravings and something that can satisfy them. We won the game! Then we went off to Alumni Park on campus to watch ToyStory3! I ended up talking with two of the frosh most of the time though even after the movie was done. One of them is from Iqaluit and has a lot of crazy stories. They both like curling and theyb talked about that for way too long. >.>

Friday 7am-11pm
First up, pancake breakfast! It was really good. I kinda slept in a bit, so I didn't do any round up. After it was time to Shine! Friday was Shine day. You see, every year Carleton University donates a large amount to Shinearama, a foundation that does Cystic Fibrosis research. Today's schedule was empty except for shining, meaning going and collecting spare change donations from people all over the city. I had chem class at 10 though, so I went to that. KG is in my phys chem class. We went to Haven to get some books. 'They are upstairs and there is no room on the shelves right now until these books are sold. Come back next week.' Kinda annoying, but the design book I was reading in the check-out line was interesting. Then I was caught by another slinky who was shining, so I helped her for a couple hours. When another slinky came and took her place I left too and did some homework. Then C4C had their first weekly meeting! I thought I was excited for the frosh I had met so far, but it was super exciting getting to meet frosh who already are ready to do ministry and join C4C in helping other students discover Jesus. Summit is at the end of the month and I really want to go! Lastly was the Closing Ceremony. There was a Shine Auction. Things were stolen from Vice-Heads and sold back to them for Shinearama donations. lol. A bunch of awards, three bands and a lot of stuff. Tympanic was really good. A latin feel, good vocals and good playing, a SAXOPHONE! They were really good. And that was it.
I got NY and AM's cell numbers. I still need to get S(?), M(?), T(?), S(?) and R(?)'s cell numbers. I have a very irrational idea that if I don't get some contact info from the frosh I met, that I will never see them again. I know they are in Prescott, but I can't just walk in. Also I feel that my schedule is hard to work with. It seems I have 8 labs every two weeks instead of the 3 from last year. >.> It's gonna be an experience, but God will be doing so much this year! I can't wait!
This was my first frosh week and it was so good. I can't wait to do it again! (if I can) I'm pretty stoked at how much God has changed me since this summer started. But now it's fall and it's time to keep changing. lol.

I was offered a Gatorade, so I guess it's okay.
When you are a mover, as I learned from Seinfeld, you are supposed to be offered a drink. One guy actually did offer us some of his gatorades.
Anyways, today I had a whole day, whole body workout. This was accomplished by day 1 of students moving into residence at Carleton. Frosh Facils apparently bond and cheer and act over the top this weekend in preparation for frosh week. Well, actually, the majority of people in res are frosh, so this is technically frosh week now. >.>
So. The way this worked was I woke up early, walked to school, waited at the meeting place, and then the day began. We would all eagerly await the cars that would pull up. Then we'd chant 'Pop That Trunk!' with claps on the words. Cheer enthusiastically as it popped open. Ask where it was going, then take an armful of stuff. Drag it up the stairs, or wait for the elevator (in which case we'd practice being sardines. literally sealed and packaged with oil) and get to their door. We'd then have a drum roll as they reach for their keys and go to swipe. As it opens, more enthusiastic cheering. Welcoming and kind words as we unload and leave. Run down the stairs. Redo.
At the start of the day I was not happy about being there. I was not happy about not knowing anyone on my team.
Hauling massive amounts of clothes, water bottles and various other stuff all over the res was a lot of fun. I went to Prescott, Renfrew, Lanark, Frontenac and Leeds! When I went to Leeds (which is on the other side of the campus basically) it was to help an international student from India who had just got to school from the airport after a 36 hour flight! I'm really glad that Carleton has an ISC to help International Students.
Umm. Ya. By the end of the day I was so pumped to be out there and just meet these first year students! I'm really glad I have signed up for the Language Exchange Program and the Orientation Mentorship Program! I'm really excited to get out there and start mentoring and maybe even discipling first year guys!
I also got to see three of my friends and help them move in. DK, SC and CC.
Anyways, I need to sleep again. I also need to buy books eventually... >.> When? Who knows. >.>

PS. I think it's pretty awesome that I didn't burn out today. 9 hours of hard labour and having a smile on my face the whole time. I didn't have breakfast either. lol. Thank God for getting me through it!
PPS. My mom is going home tomorrow. Pray for her. She's going to be very weak. She's been in a bed for nearly two weeks. Very thankfully, however, she is going home and the whole problem with [prescription/over the counter] drugs and stuff is worked out and she should be way better off than she was before.
Anyways, today I had a whole day, whole body workout. This was accomplished by day 1 of students moving into residence at Carleton. Frosh Facils apparently bond and cheer and act over the top this weekend in preparation for frosh week. Well, actually, the majority of people in res are frosh, so this is technically frosh week now. >.>

Day 1, Kinda.
So, today, this morning, I finished moving all my stuff to my new house. Well, most of it was there already and it has not been a work in progress, I just needed to move the stuff I have been using lately and commit to the move. In any case I moved the stuff.
Also, I wasn't really there today. lol. Frosh orientation from 9:15 to 5pm. Then I bussed home (lol) and started organizing my room as I ate free cookies. lol. Then we had three RISK matches. I won the first one. I caused the second victory. I was erased from the match despite my loyal alliance to DZ and so he won. That took most of the night. Well, ya, pretty much all of it except the brief instant noodle dinner.
I signed up to be a frosh mentor. That means meeting with at least three first years at least three times this semester. I don't want to be minimalist on this task though. I want to actually help them. The thing is that I don't actually know anything about University. lol. I know how to get around it, but I don't know basically anything about University life... >.> Gotta study up on that too... lol.
Ttyl. I gotta sleep so I can go to school early on a Saturday morning and help the new kids move in. >.> (I may have to do this on Sunday too..?)

Projectile Objects
I do not understand grade 9 boys. They speak a different language, are attached to their phones/iPods which may be the same thing, enjoy making fun of other people and have recently doubled in height. >.>
Last night was the YF boys' sleepover at JS and my house. It was fun I guess. lol. We went to McD's for dinner, played some RISK or XBox 360, ate some instant noodles, played more, slept, then they all left and I went home. There were six guys, 5 going into grade 9 and one going into grade 7 I think. He was the most reasonable of them all.
Today I didn't end up doing much. >.> Although getting to chill with AL and RM and BC is pretty sweet. HoverDisc is pretty interesting for a time, but the astonishing flying ring was better. It would win in a fight. Beard and Moustache... Interesting. No thanks. Also, you didn't have any neck hair. >.> Jealous.
Gotta buy a pile of books this week. Gotta go to Orientation for Frosh tomorrow. Gotta study Calculus!!!!!! Fail.
It'll work out.
